Noah's smirk deepened, his eyes filled with an unsettling light that seemed to pierce through Natasha's already fried nerves.

She sat frozen on the bed, her hands trembling in her lap, unable to meet his gaze. 

The silence in the room was loud, broken only by her shallow, panicked breaths.

"You know," Noah began, his voice casual, "I'm not even interested in what you were doing here. I already know you're here to steal something. You can do whatever you want to the house; you can steal it or burn it. do whatever you want."

Natasha flinched at his words, her chest tightening as she realized how much knows. Her eyes darted toward the door instinctively, but Noah didn't miss the movement. His smirk grew colder.

"Don't even think about it, I'm sure you aren't faster than a bullet," he said, his tone dropping into a chilling monotone.
