Capítulo 5: Unexpected friend
We get to the caverns around morning time...two days after Draco and I talked. Mom has what looks to me like a forced smile hiding fear. Dad remains expressionless while getting a parking spot. Draco us sitting across from me looking out the window and I am thinking on how to grant his wish. You could feel the tension in the air.
" We're here!" Dad chimes in ... breaking the weird silence. We all pile out of the truck and gather our gear for cavern exploring. I hide the dagger with my pocket gear. I noticed Draco grabbed a flare stick and matches and hid them in his pocket. Mom slowly got ready and Dad took nothing.."odd'' I thought.
My dad led us deep inside the caverns pointing out unstable columns and formations. We got half way inside when some how.. our lights died. " Mom..dad.. Draco..!" I shouted.
A sudden red light appeared... Draco's flare! A had the dagger in my hand..how? I don't remember getting it out. As I ran to my brother, dad grew into the biggest wolf demon I had ever seen and rammed a unstable column. Mom drew her wings out to fly to us, but as the column began to break...a part of it hit her and crushed her at once. Her wing flapped once and fell down under the boulder. " ...mom..." I whispered. I continued to dodge falling rocks going to my brother. As I approached him, he begged me to use the dagger in my hand. I hesitated... he noticed another piece of the cavern about to break...he suddenly pushed into me and the dagger... piercing him.. as he got me to safety.
I fell away with the bloody red dagger. Draco tumbling away... disappeared as a boulder fell between us. I was about to black out when a strange figure grabs me by my hoodie and drags me out of the falling caverns.
" Don't worry..." She Huff's as she dragged me out..." you'll be ok.. I got you."
