"Two thousand years ago, the first Exploration Fleet of Grand Gaia set off from Humanity's cradle, the flourishing, nurturing planet of Gaia. Within the first decade of travel, the Exploration Fleet had begun to survey approximately 5% of the nearby systems from the Progenitor System, totaling around 300 planets and their respective moons, however that decade had yet to yield the new cradle that the Exploration Fleet was hoping for."
My fingers flew across my keyboard as I took notes of what the professor was teaching, keeping everything short and sweet as I listened closely to what was considered the 'beginning' of our planet's history all those years ago.
The Solar Year was 4,219 based on the timing of the Progenitor System, and it marked the second millennium since those brave men and women set off into the stars to find a new place to call home.
So much had happened between the year 2,219 and now, 4,219, that the courses for learning about that period of time lasted from our first year in schooling till deep into our academical journey inside university, especially for someone like me going for a degree in History.
Something about the far flung past always interested me, and while I had heard this beginning story hundreds of times now, I always found it fascinating to listen to, uncaring of the repetitiveness of it all as I added another tally to the list.
Specifically, I loved learning about how the humans from Gaia made significant leaps in any field, and I was personally fascinated with one of the bloodiest, brutal periods of history upon Gaia; the Middle Ages.
So much happened that could be pointed to for how we got to where we are today, and it's utterly mind boggling to think that three THOUSAND years ago, someone was discovering that the world of Gaia wasn't the center of the solar system, but instead the sun was.
If you just picked that point of human history and traced out the repercussions of such a discovery, you could tie it to so many different things that you could write entire novels about it and still not scratch the surface!
It was incredible, and I found that period of history to be particularly fascinating, especially how it seemed to continue to enamor people from all periods of time; back before the Fleets left Gaia, the Middle Ages were heavily documented and researched, with both professional and recreational activities sprouting from its study.
Amongst the recreational activities that I could confidently say changed the course of history for the better were video games of the Fantasy Genre; beautiful stories based on the happenings of such a dark period of time was another nugget of human ingenuity that I wanted to study, which was why I was also partaking in some Psych Classes to further understand our minds.
For me, in the here and now, I couldn't help but grin as I continued to take notes, my ears and fingers doing the work for me as I allowed my mind to drift to the beautiful work of art that was getting a sequel today.
Twin Moons of Eden: Online.
That was the game that I had installing back at my Full Dive Pod back home, and I couldn't wait to play it!
The first game - Battle of Eden: Online - was a highly acclaimed MMORPG that spanned across our entire world, allowing the hundreds of millions of people who relished in video games to sink their teeth into such a deep, immersive and complex game that had something for everyone.
Holding back the hordes of the Terra Empress or fighting the holy legions of the Seraphim Lumina was the focus of the game, depending on your alignment and personal morals, and the thousands upon thousands of smaller factions that worked inside each of the over arching factions of 'good' and 'evil' allowed anyone to pick and choose how much they wanted to worry about the main plot of the game.
Help the small band of Goblins occupy their land?
Sure, do that and become their Chief!
Wanna lead a regiment of holy warriors to purge the demons?
Go ahead!
Or, if you were strong enough, did you want to join the raid on the Holy Palace of Terracotta Dynasty?
You would need to be the best of the best, but if you were... you could.
You could join the raid on the pinnacles of the game, and if you won, you earned the highest level loot in the game that displayed your prowess!
With bi-yearly resets of the story via the Empress and Seraphim resurrecting and appointing new Generals and the like, the game never grew stale or boring, with preparation and other things taking up your time if you wanted, since the new variants of those bosses were always scaled up based on the previous party to take them down.
There was so much going on inside the game that some of the players looked like they were playing a different game; instead of fighting, what about governing a city?
You could do that.
Starting a business empire and rolling in the dough?
Yup, that was available.
Want to just live out a nice, peaceful life inside one of the quiet cities?
Sure, go ahead.
It was that and more that was promised inside of Twin Moons of Eden: Online that I couldn't wait to play, and as I finished taking the notes on the current slide, I opened my messenger app and shot my best friend a text.
[K: Hey Lulu~! You going to hop on to TMoE tonight? Wanna grind out to level 10 before the night ends?]
Already in my mind I was theory crafting what I wanted to do, and I returned to my notes before switching tabs again, letting out a low sigh as I read Lulu's reply.
[L: You know I want to Kira, but works a bitch right now! I HAVE to work this overtime, and by the time I get home I don't think I should hop in with my old Pod... Tomorrow though, you can grind me up to your level and we can run some beginner raids or something! I promise!]
Smiling softly at the screen, I finished taking my notes as I left Lulu alone, my long time friend logging out of the app as denoted by the greyed out icon of hers.
Class went by smoothly, but it was a tad slow as my mind continued to be plagued by ideas and strategies that I wanted to employ...
~~~
Short thing; Bit of a slow start, don't mind that since its going to set some stuff up, introduce Kira to you and all that jazz.
Run down of some basic things though that I want to repeat before we get further in, alright?
Yes, this is sorta going to be like SAO, just on a larger scale and permanently inside the game, so if that sounds like fun to you, great!
Kira is a Futanari, meaning she has a penis attached to her alongside her vagina (aka a hermaphrodite kinda) so if that turns you off... sorry, not sorry.
Kira is going to be taking AND receiving, and will be with various partners who are both Dom, Sub, or Vanilla, so don't be surprised if Kira goes from a Dom Orc railing her to a shy Sub Elf begging her for more; I don't know exactly what I want Kira to be just yet, but this is going to let me explore that.
Sex is in the novel (if you hadn't realized via those last parts) and will be denoted by a *, so read whenever you feel comfortable to read it.
Romance is planned but not for awhile, and I have a few things I want from it, so when it happens it will be a Polycule; Kira is the nucleus, but she is dating two/three women at once who are all comfortable with one another as well; again, if you don't like that, cool, I get it, again sorry not sorry.
Plans with this novel: free 75 chapters or so, before locking it behind Premium, with each chapter being 1000 words, one chapter every other day or so hopefully.
Alongside my current novels (check them out if you haven't already) this will join Servant System and Reincarnated for priority, with Rise finishing soon and my two Fanfics dropping to one chap every week and a half; as for Tiberius, that'll be another iffy book, since I can't say I want to continue but I don't want to drop it either.
Anyways... yeah, that's everything; a fantasy game world with a Futa Mc, romance, updated frequently... should be everything, so enjoy I guess~!
Whew~
