Capítulo 100: A new group

The first contact between the prison and Woodbury came to an end after the Governor's people suffered this foolish loss. Airon was sure, he knew that with the Governor's vindictiveness, the other side would not leave him alone, even if the Governor's people were beaten. This crazy man would pick himself up off the ground and keep fighting when looking for new subordinates.

Simply put, Airon is not at all worried about this situation. He is confident that he can easily lead with the Governor, but if he stops only for the people of Woodbury, he could not act recklessly if he considers those survivors.

If he wants to get the survivors of the Woodbury community to join his community voluntarily, he should somehow reveal the Governor's true face, let everyone see his true personality, and when the Governor is exposed, that area would be controlled by the prison.

Only then could he have a stable central base to provide him with strong logistical and active support for his future movements. Although he has a base in the city of Atlanta, traveling back and forth by helicopter was easy, but sending people to fight or defend certain points was somewhat difficult.

...

In the woods north of the prison, there was a group of five people who were running in the direction of the prison, the walkers were following close behind and soon many more appeared in the woods on both sides, blocking the advance.

One of the five people seemed to have lost the possibility to keep running, and was being carried by two men, the man next to her kept saying words of encouragement for no one to give up, still trying to verify what the woman had, but the woman's face seemed tired and did not respond to the words.

The group was led by a duo of black-skinned siblings, a man and a woman. The burly man wore a unique cap of Lana, who swung the machete in his hand forcefully killing all the walkers that crossed his path.

The woman, who was the burly man's sister, had long, somewhat fluffy hair tied behind her head, and the cold weapon in her hands swung hard at the walkers ahead, protecting the group behind.

As the brother and sister duo killed the walkers, the black-skinned woman began to pay attention to the oncoming walkers and realized that they were about to reach the other side of the forest if they ran a few more yards. Through the gaps in the forest, she could vaguely see an open space that was covered behind the trees and bushes.

Without turning her head, she shouted to the people running behind her, "Tyreese! We're about to come out of the forest."

The burly black-skinned man named Tyreese again killed a walker in front of him, and took the time to shout to his sister, "Sasha! You step back and help Ben and Allen, I'll lead the way up ahead, how's Donna?"

"She's hopeless, she's lost!" Allen said in a tone full of sadness.

Although Tyreese felt somewhat guilty, he had no business in this situation, he tightened his grip on the machete and they all quickly exited the forest.

Tyreese was the first to run out, he looked up, there was a field in front of him and no chance of crossing forward.

A feeling of despair welled up in his heart, but he dared not give up, he took advantage of the fact that there were no walkers on the sides, he turned around and replaced Ben who was already tired, and walked forward together with Allen who were supporting Donna.

Opening the path, the group ran forward without a set course, for now they just tried to get away from the group of walkers behind them and making a decision they went back into the forest. Seeing the situation, Tyreese said, "We should keep moving forward, I'm sure someone must have made a shelter around this place!"

Allen showed despair on his face, he didn't believe Tyreese's words at all, at this moment, the only force driving him forward were the walkers walking approaching behind him.

Sasha suddenly looked around suspiciously and asked with some uncertainty, "Didn't you notice that there are very few walkers here?"

Hearing what Sasha said, Tyreese suddenly realized that they had been walking through the forest for a while, but they didn't encounter a single walker, as if the walkers here had disappeared out of nowhere.

"Could it be that there are no walkers in this forest?" Tyreese also frowned and examined the surroundings, but found no walking corpses.

Just when Tyreese's group was puzzled, they saw two people appear on the grass not far away. These two people were wearing military uniforms and helmets, but what shocked them was that the weapons in their hands were pointed at them.

With surveillance at level two, Airon would not allow any man outside the prison to roll out without being stopped. Therefore, keeping all those problems in mind while thinking about what he was about to do, he deployed many strike groups in key areas.

"Freeze, don't move!"

Looking at the long black barrel of the gun, everyone froze in place, and Allen who was terrified even dropped the machete in his hands.

"Don't shoot, we are only survivors! We'll leave now, please don't shoot!" Tyreese supported Donna with his left hand and the machete with the other. Just as he was about to drop the machete, he heard movement in the bushes behind him and soon figures of walkers appeared.

"Everybody duck!" hearing the other party's shout, Tyreese and his group ducked in place immediately.

"Bang bang bang bang! Bang bang bang bang!"

Feeling the wind break over their heads, the sound of bodies falling behind them was heard seconds after the soldiers opened fire, even without looking back, they all knew they were walkers.

After a burst of gunfire, several people turned around and looked back, only to see several walkers that had fallen to the ground only a few feet away from them.

Tyreese only had time to say thank you before one of the soldiers approached the group, looking at the wound on Donna's hand, he said, "She was bitten?"

"Huh?" Sasha who heard this question, said, "We didn't have time to check her beforehand, we were on the run for all this time."

"How long has she been bitten? Her life will depend on the answer you guys give me." The soldier did not believe the lie he was told when asked about the infected in his group.

"I don't remember more than ten minutes." Sasha gave an immediate answer.

"No, the virus may have already advanced through his bloodstream, we need to amputate the arm immediately." Considering the possibilities, the soldier didn't hesitate and looked at Tyreese who was apparently the leader of the group, "We have to amputate her arm, it will be a miracle if she is saved if she was infected with the Wildfire virus."

"Yeah..." Tyreese didn't know half of what the soldier said, but seeing that he was willing to help him he nodded with compression.

"Give me the machete Jim!" the soldier said.

"Yes sir." Jim, who was behind, pulled out a long machete and handed it to his partner.

"Now you need to make a tourniquet, press it hard ten centimeters over the bite, I really hope it will do the trick." After saying that, the soldier took out a radio and reported the situation, "Central, we have a group of five survivors, one of them was infected in his arm, I am proceeding with the protocol, but everything indicates that the virus has spread for an indefinite time in the bloodstream."

"Group 9, the infirmary is being prepared as we speak, you may proceed with protocol!"

Hearing the voice, no one in Tyreese's group decided to interfere with what was going on, making a decision, the soldier holding the machete with his mantle stood up and swung it hard.

"Crack! Crack!" With two hard Cracks, Danna's wounded hand fell to the ground and thanks to the tourniquet tightly clamped on her arm the bleeding could be stopped.

"Come with us, it's not safe here!" The two soldiers led some people into the depths of the forest, one after the other.

...

Woodbury Village.

Early in the morning, the Governor gathered his group of assassins and prepared to leave this place.  The survivors in town naturally thought they were going to gather supplies again, and all gathered as usual to instruct everyone to pay attention to their safety.

But unexpectedly, the Governor jumped out of the back of a pickup truck, and then spoke to the crowd: "Dear Woodbury residents! I have bad news, just yesterday something very unfortunate happened, something that really makes me angry. After our investigation as we have always done, we found out that the two women who came yesterday belonged to another group and their stay here was to spy on the place, they wanted to learn our secrets, see our weapons and understand how many resources we have."

When everyone heard this, there was an outburst of discussion among the crowd, and it wasn't long before people began to express their concern on their faces.

The governor was very pleased with the outcome, and continued to add fuel to the fire: "Those two women stole things from my office. It was a pity that I found out late, so I sent Martinez to chase them to take the things they had stolen. Fortunately they caught up with them, but support had also arrived from the other side."

After saying that, the Governor paused and noted, "Martinez and the others were outnumbered, managed to fend off the assault and managed to kill one of our enemies, but they also killed one of our own, Tim."

"How? Tim was killed!"

"Oh God!"

Some of the men and women who were familiar with Tim immediately covered their mouths in shock, and the rest were also distressed.

The Governor looked around, his eyes swept over everyone's face, and seeing everyone express sadness to anger, so he said, "The purpose of these people is obvious, they want to kill us! They want to destroy our community that we have worked hard to develop. They want to plunder our resources, listen, what should we do?"

"We must fight!"

"We must kill them!"

Seeing that everyone's thoughts and emotions were controlled by his words, the Governor had gotten what he wanted, he raised his arms and shouted, "Let's destroy them! "

"Defend our territory!"

"All those who can fight, take up your weapons, we are ready to leave as soon as possible!
