Capítulo 213: Promise in the dream

Alastair sat beside Samantha, watching her sleep restlessly on her bed. Even though she was deep asleep, he knew she was not sleeping well just from the deep frown on her face. Her forehead was covered with sweat and her breathing was erratic, showing that she was having a nightmare.

Picking up the bowl of warm water and the hand towel, he wiped her forehead and her neck before he eased her brows. But as soon as his fingers touched Samantha's forehead, tears trickled down her face and soft sobs reverberated through the room.

Alastair's eyes widened on seeing her cry and he moved closer to her, patting her forehead gently to comfort her. "Samantha, sweetheart. Shh, shh, everything is alright. I am right here." He tried to coax her. Although he did not know what nightmare was haunting her, he did not like the way she was right now. Her entire face screamed how miserable she was, and all he wanted was to ease her of the pain.
