Capítulo 146: Lower your eyes

The air was filled with the chaos of clashing swords, gunfire, and the relentless roar of burning flames engulfing the battlefield. Sullivan steadied his breath, his fingers tightening around the trigger of his rifle. With a sharp pull, the bullet whizzed through the air, but Arthur anticipated the shot, swiftly ducking behind a tree for cover.

A retaliatory shot from Arthur's direction forced Sullivan to duck behind another tree. For a moment, it was a deadly fight.

Then came the click of empty chambers. Both men realized, almost simultaneously, that their guns were out of bullets. Sullivan cast a quick glance from behind his cover, spotting Arthur already advancing with a crossbow in hand.

Without hesitation, Sullivan grabbed a metal shield lying amidst the debris. Gritting his teeth, he sprinted toward Arthur, the shield raised to deflect any incoming attack.
