"This is your final chance!" Hermes exclaimed boldly as he advanced towards Raven. "Don't forget, you're not the same as you used to be. And I'm not as weak either!"
Hermes was confident in his ability to manage the situation, having deduced the secret at hand. He also had confidence in his own strength.
In the past, he had died during the Calamity. All this time, he had been thinking about that day, wondering what he could've done differently. With the passage of time, he had gotten stronger, believing that he could defeat Raven this time if it came to that.
Furthermore, he possessed a hidden card. The process of Zeus' Punishment was still in progress, and the five minutes were nearing their end. He simply needed to keep Raven in this room. Once the punishment commenced, even Raven couldn't escape with his life.
Simultaneously, Hermes had devised a plan to escape from the room a mere second before the time limit expired. In his mind, despite the troublesome situation, things could still be salvaged as Raven didn't know about it. Everything was within his control.
"If you don't want to be killed like an animal, then know your place. Your time has long passed, you psychotic bastard! The world is a different place now, with no room for people like you."
Raven tilted his head to the right, a sly smile crossing his face.
Extending his right hand, he pointed directly at Hermes. The tip of his index finger emitted a mysterious glow. With each movement of his fingers, the light obediently followed, forming words suspended in mid-air.
"The world will always have a place for people like me," the words materialized, unveiling Raven's thoughts.
"Your arrogance truly knows no bounds. I really look forward to crushing it!" Hermes furrowed his brow. "You are a fool who doesn't understand your situation. Let alone High Gods, I alone should be enough to teach you some manne-"
Hermes arrogantly spoke but before he could even finish his sentence, he felt someone grab his wrists. He was known to be one of the fastest, but his eyes couldn't even keep up with Raven's movements.
Before he could react, both his hands were grabbed by Raven who raised his right foot, kicking Hermes off his feet and sending him flying across the room.
Painful roars filled the air as Hermes' body flew back uncontrollably, his arms torn apart, still in Raven's hands.
With a thud, Hermes crashed into a nearby wall, leaving a crack on its surface.
"I will kill you!" Hermes roared like a beast, struggling to get to his feet. The moment he stood up, he moved, his figure completely disappearing. He was faster than lightning, making it impossible to even find it.
Even without his arms, he was still Hermes, a god of Olympus. He appeared behind Raven, swinging his leg with incredible force, aiming for an unaware Raven's neck.
"H-how?"
Hermes was filled with disbelief, his foot stopped merely a few inches away from Raven's neck who was grabbing onto his ankles.
Raven didn't even turn back to face Hermes, his grip around Hermes' ankles tightening. He raised his hand, pulling Hermes' body, slamming him headfirst into the ground.
The impact created a small crater as the surrounding ground shook with the force of the collision. Hermes laid motionless, his body painted red with blood. He didn't even know how many of his bones were broken.
All he knew was that his leg was twisted in a way that he had never imagined possible, causing excruciating pain to shoot through his entire body.
As the dust settled, Raven calmly grabbed Hermes by his collar, dragging him towards the Chair in the Center. Hermes couldn't move, his body not in his control.
"Heh, you fool! You think you'll survive after killing me?" Hermes laughed like a maniac, spitting out some blood that had filled his mouth.
"The moment you fall into Olympus' hands, you'll experience a death more gruesome than you could ever imagine! Let me kill you, making it quick and painless!" Hermes exclaimed, trying to turn Raven around. "You are going to die! Why not die at my hands?"
Raven didn't respond to Hermes. He stopped before the chair and placed him atop the chair that was prepared for him.
The moment Hermes sat on the chair, he realized something, his expressions going dark. "You can't be thinking of... You fool, have you truly lost your mind?!"
Raven gestured to the silver-haired man, pointing at the nearby shackles, completely ignoring Hermes.
Amidst them, there was no need for any words. The silver-haired man quickly picked up the shackles, walking closer to Hermes.
He carefully tied Hermes to the chair where Raven was supposed to be tied for his Divine Punishment. Only after he was properly tied in divine shackles, Raven freed Hermes from his control.
"What are you trying to do? Release me!" Hermes roared, watching Raven turn his back on him.
His wild roars filled the entire hall, his clothes painted red in his blood. He knew that no matter what, he had to leave this hall. Instead of him, Raven was supposed to be here!
Unfortunately, his roars fell on deaf ears as Raven stepped out of the hall, without even looking back.
The silver haired man glanced back at Hermes before following Raven, leaving the hall as well. In the entire sky fortress, only Hermes was left alive, but he knew that Hermes' would've been cursing his luck for surviving until now.
In the control center, the small black crystal had completely assimilated with the carving of Zeus's thunder, no one alive to stop the process.
It pulsed with an otherworldly energy, casting an electrifying glow throughout the room. As the assimilation completed, the crystal began to emit a faint hum, resonating with the power of the gods.
The moment Raven stepped out of the hall, he turned around, finally glancing at Hermes while the metallic door started closing.
He raised his right hand, joining his fingers and thumb together, making a gesture of an explosion.
"You will regret not dying today!" Hermes roared, making sure Raven heard him while almost choking on his own blood.
The metallic door completely closed, sealing Hermes inside the hall.
