They arrived at the shrine where the Tokyo Manji Gang held their meetings after a fifteen-minute ride.
Chifuyu, the Tokyo Manji Gang's first division vice captain had just parked his motorbike alongside his gang's bikes and was about to get off on his bike when he felt something pressing against the back of his neck. When he looked over his shoulder, he realized that the female he was giving a free ride to had actually dozed off.
"Hey, we've arrived." he informed her, trying to wake her up.
"Mmm," her eyes were still closed as she groaned. "Please, Michi, let me sleep for a while. I'm completely drained."
"Michi?" he repeated, having no idea who she was addressing, but he just shrugged it off.
He decided to carry her on his back, making sure she wouldn't slip off as he peered into the lengthy stairway. He couldn't help but bite his bottom lip because she was so heavy.
"Why did I bother to save this girl in the first place?" He questioned himself. But ignoring this innocent girl from those delinquents from the other gang would be too humiliating for him as a member of Toman. Even though he had no idea what gang they belonged to.
If Chifuyu only knew who this girl was...
But, of course, who would have guessed that a monster lurked beneath her innocent facade.
"Huh? Who's that girl Chifuyu's carrying?" Toman's second division captain wondered aloud when he spotted the undercut haircut boy arrive carrying a girl on his back
Toman's first division captain's ears perked when he heard Chifuyu's name, but he was much more curious when Mitsuya mentioned a girl, so he swiftly turned around to see what everyone was staring at.
Chifuyu was indeed carrying a girl behind his back, but what surprised them even more was that the girl was actually sleeping. She was completely unaware of the attention she was receiving. Her hair was covering her face, making it difficult for them to see what she looked like, but after Chifuyu arrived in front of his captain, they were able to see what she looked like but only the half side of her face.
Baji dashed over to his vice captain, smirking and flashing his fangs, and punched him in the stomach which Chifuyu dodged.
"Chifuyu, you got yourself a gal. Now you're a man!"
"Baji-san, I've always been a man." Chifuyu responded.
"Is she your girlfriend, Chifuyu?" Mitsuya asked since Chifuyu had never mentioned having a girlfriend or mentioned any girl to them.
"No," Chifuyu answered with a shake of his head.
"Don't tell me you kidnapped this girl?" Baji asked, his eyes widening as he looked at his friend. Baji had no idea that the girl Chifuyu's carrying was actually the person he knew for four years.
"What the hell. Of course not! I saved her from a gang earlier and offered her a ride home so we ended up here." He explained, still holding the girl tightly on his back. "Am I late?"
"You're not late, but you're also not on time." Mitsuya stated. "The meeting is about to begin."
An hour had passed.
She was startled awake when she heard voices all around the place, in fact, the sounds she heard were all coming from men. She lifted her head and looked around the place, finding herself surrounded by men in black uniforms, however their focus wasn't on her as they kept chanting "Toman," which she was familiar with.
Her gaze followed theirs and she noticed two males in front of them standing with their heads up.
"Can you tell me where we are, Michi?" She questioned her cousin, but Takemichi, to her confusion, does not have an undercut haircut.
"Who're you calling Michi? My name is Chifuyu." Chifuyu told her, and she swiftly leapt off his back, much to Chifuyu's relief.
"Ahh, finally you're awake. You've been sleeping in my back for an hour." He said casually as he stretched his body.
(Y/N) stood there, recalling what had happened to her before she got here.
"Why did you bring me here?"
"Didn't I tell you we'd stop by first, and you said okay?"
The girl with the (h/c) hair formed an o-shaped with her mouth. Everyone around her was too preoccupied with chanting "Toman" to realize that she was already awake, except for one person.
"(Y/N)? What the hell are you doing here?" Takemichi's face was painted with surprise. He didn't expect to see his cousin in a place like this, surrounded by delinquents, to put it another way, in a gang meeting.
"Michi? I'm the one who should be asking you that." She said, with her brow arched and her hands on both sides of her waist. "How long have you been a part of a gang?"
(Y/N) isn't dumb enough not to realize that people around her were part of a gang, since all of them wore the same uniform. She was confused, though, to see her cousin dressed in their school uniform. He was the only odd one in here if you exempt her.
Wasn't Takemichi also a member of this gang because he was also here?
"We're going to crush Moebius!" Mikey yelled in the front position as the crowd erupted in cheers.
She watched as the shoulder-length blond haired man she assumed was the gang's commander turned away from everyone and began walking away.
"On the 3rd of August! It's all going to happen at the Musashi Festival!"
They cheered once more, and she couldn't help but cover her ears to protect herself from their shrill voices. Loud noises were one of her pet peeves, and being here in a place with a bunch of males was already causing her eardrums to rupture.
"Oh, geez, why can't they speak quietly?" Chifuyu turned to gaze at her as she complained.
"I'm sorry for bringing you here. I didn't know you hated noises."
"Apology is unacceptable."
"Geez you're such an old woman."
"Excuse me?" she roared, causing someone to look over at her. "If you're dumb enough not to notice, you're the same age as me."
"The hell are you doing here, (Y/N)?"
She was halted from giving Chifuyu a dead stare by a familiar voice, and turned around to see who the voice belonged to. She was disappointed to see the person she had least expected to see. It was none other than Baji himself who had a confused expression on his face as he stood proudly in front of her.
"Is this the gang you told me about?" she inquired as she scrutinized his attire.
"Yup, pretty cool huh?"
"Nah, you like you were about to clean a toilet," Baji gave her a smack on the head for what she said.
"Why are these guys so fired up anyway?" She continued, wondering as to why the men around her were so excited.
"It's because we're going to crush Moebius." Baji was the one who responded.
"Moebius? Eh, that gang is lame, you know," she spoke as she searched around for any familiar faces or perhaps someone she had previously beaten up.
"You two know each other?" Chifuyu asked, switching his gaze to Baji and (Y/N).
"(Y/N) here is my buddy," Baji grinned as he put his arm around her shoulder, which she quickly avoided.
"Yes and no. Baji, we're not buddies. A buddy will not abandon a friend in a war." She said it, her tone darkening with each word.
"Can you forget it?"
"Sure. I can forget you."
Chifuyu groaned as he absorbed the situation.
He was surprised to learn that these two knew each other and seemed to be close, so he didn't press the question any more. Takemichi was the same way, he was both surprised and intrigued by his cousin's knowledge of some Toman members since from what he remembered, she doesn't like gangs.
Takemichi couldn't help but wonder if he was altering the course of his cousin's future. Or perhaps she met the Toman members in her past. He only hoped that he would be able to save her from the tragic death.
"Takemitchy, you brought her." Takemichi was startled when Mikey appeared next to him out of nowhere.
"I wasn't the one who brought her," Takemichi replied truthfully, his gaze fixed on his cousin and the man with whom she was currently talking.
"Who did?" Mikey wondered.
"I don't know. She just appeared sudde—" Takemichi wasn't able to finish what he was saying since Mikey suddenly walked towards the (h/c) haired girl.
"You must be (Y/N), Takemit——"He was abruptly cut off when a foot appeared in front of him, alarming those who remained at the shrine after the majority of the gang members had already left.
Draken stepped in front of her and moved her foot out of the way of Mikey. His eyes narrowed as he looked at the girl in front of him.
"I was aiming for you, but I think I got the wrong person," she replied casually as she lowered her leg and cocked her head. "Yes, I'm (Y/N), and if I'm not mistaken, you're Mikey?"
"It's Mikey-kun for you," Pah-chin hissed and gave her a death stare.
"Did I say something?" She raised an eyebrow at Pah-chin, who now appears irritated with her.
Takemichi was well aware that one of (Y/ N)'s favorite pleasures was irritating others. He was well aware of how his cousin's habit of irritating others and pushing them to their limits frequently led to troubles.
Takemichi's heart felt like it was about to burst from the speed with which it was racing in dread. He was nervous and worried about his cousin, who seemed to be having a good time in her current situation.
'Don't get yourself killed, (Y/N).' He spoke in his mind, and silently prayed for Kami-sama, hoping that Mikey, Draken, Pah-chin, and the others would spare his cousin's life.
Mikey took a step forward and turned to face her, his eyes as dark as their uniform. By the look on Mikey's face, Takemichi could tell he was displeased.
"Now now, how do you want to die?"
