Akira Takeda is a professional player of the game Rex Regum Online. He has a brilliant career until an injury strikes his hand. Quantum Esports, the club he leads and founded, is on the verge of collapse due to financial conditions. The situation gets worse with the manager and several team members resigning. Not to mention, Haruto, a friend he considers his own brother, betrays him and chooses to join another team.
As if fate is playing tricks on him, the doctor tells Akira he will never be able to use his hands again. His world feels shattered, and one by one, the most important things are taken away from him.
Just as Akira is thinking about ending everything, fate brings him together with a boy who has talent but zero knowledge, Haruki Ito. His strong will awakens something inside Akira.

i like the concept and we have few esports novel here. TKA is the only notable esports novel we have. this novel still rough around the edge but have a good core concept. aa other s point out already, an esport game competitions based on characters power is no good and not fun to read. esports is sport so it should be fairly balanced and equal. like dota or glory in tka it should be balanced and have many roles. it should have rock-paper-scissor relationship but in much bigger scale. class and equipment ahould be more a kind to identity and enrich the characters both in game and the player itself not a power creep like cultivation novels. just remember esports is sports not power fantasy. competitive soul is important in it
I’m sorry but I got to give it a two because the game doesn’t make sense you are level 40 but the level doesn’t matter what matter is how much damage your weapon does which mean this game is pay to win if this game was out in real life i don’t think people will play it and not even be out for competitive games but I do give the author credit for the writing the only thing that turn me off was that mc has a low thinking ability which made me want to quit the reason is because how the author made it let out what the author said that people in esports retire at the age of 25 or 26 because the gaming sense will be low and the brain cannot keep up with the game play which it is understandable because i already had this problem but sense the mc is already going through this and his hands are not working what the point in still trying he only got a little years to be in esports which means that he should of gone for the manager spot and what I dont get is the he has high requirement to recruit someone even people who are 2 kd people can become a pro player even 1 kd it because some people don’t take games serious but some just don’t play a lot or just play for fun but their are people who are trash at the game just look for someone who maybe has talent but no mc judges people for their kd which makes this a really annoying situation it like the longer you play the better you get but that has a limit and if someone come and teaches you the more better you get that how life’s work not how you see someone for it values and think that that person is not good enough which is just sad if you think that

You had me sold on the game premise for the story, but immediately lost me when that Silver player was just able to buy the stuff you farm for. Esports games, at least to my knowledge, are not pay to win. CS:GO, Apex, Fortnite, Rocket League, Starcraft. All these games showcase that everyone starts the same, but skill truly differentiates them. I liked the story and everything else, but the game itself is the pillar of the novel.
