Capítulo 11: Chapter 11 Abyssal fiend, eliminated?
The sound of the ground cracking from its sheer weight was terrifying, as the surge of magic coming from it was enticing and suffocating for these lizardmen.
they first came here to feed on a powerful sorcerer that was thought to be weakened yet what they were facing now was something that was said to be one of the three greater archfiends!
what they felt upon seeing it wasn't fear or terror but elation and craving these lizardmen wanted to devour this Greater archfiend so that they will be the Apex predator from now on!
Their sorry lives aren't worth much compared to the beast they were trying to fend off and kill, no they needed its magic to grow to no longer be oppressed, to no longer hide in the shadows, to no longer have to run!
The abyssal Fiend stopped some distance away savoring the leaking magic its enemies were releasing, throughout its 'playful' acts it has been eating away at the magic the lizardmen had to increase the duration of its stay in this world, the prey it was playing with opted a new method of attack.
they began using different elements to find out that was it weak against sadly for these fools this fiend had a brain that was being used the right way so when one of the stronger lizardmen used elements of stone it 'brushed it off' but when it was hit by anything with the volt element it 'flinched' adopting a furious rampage as it flailed about throwing whatever it could at the ones that 'pissed' it off!
then slowed down before kneeling as if it was weakened from the attacks it received as a small dust cloud blocked their sight from being able to see the damage they may have caused, however, its actions still caused its prey to follow along with its plans and began firing a barrage of volt based magic unknowingly giving a treat to the monster that was enjoying this feast!
However one of the stronger ones seemed to have noticed that something was wrong, very wrong!
Usually, there were signs of blood, broken pieces of cursed parts that were in the vicinity when an Archfiend was gravely injured yet this one didn't drop anything like that hell there wasn't a single drop of blood!
the lizardmen that noticed this released a bestial howl to alert his allies of the current issue while they may kill each other given the chance they had an unwritten rule to rally together when hunting an archfiend, even more so for a Greater archfiend!
Since the gig was up the Abyssal fiend stopped acting as it gathered as much magic as possible into its mouth, its whole body was shaking from the amount it was storing, before firing a blast of its now converted magic into the sky!
The star-filled night sky quickly became cloudy as more and more dark clouds began to form, these clouds fused together and grew until from where the summoned fiend was standing clouds formed five miles all around it as the abyssal fiend began to guffaw thanks to its creation that seemed to respond with a thunderclap!
The lizardmen failed to understand the situation they were in then again they wouldn't run anyways even if it was a losing battle the temptation of possibly becoming even stronger than regular archfiends was akin to an extremely addictive drug that none of them can ever resist.
they seek freedom in their own way it is just that they tend to take the more drastic and brutal route that could possibly destroy themselves that is why lizardmen have very short lives as when they fail to satisfy the growing need for magic... it eats away at their very lifeforce.
The abyssal fiend raised its arms to the skies with curled fingers before it turned its head towards the next one this beast was going to kill since they weren't playing its game and more people were coming might as well end these useless toys that are no longer serving their purpose and get their magic the more direct way...by eating them!
the clouds seemed to follow its will before striking down tens of lightning bolts upon the lizardmen that were surprised by the attack of nature sure there are different ways of elements being used but never have they ever seen nature be used in such a manner the majority of them were shocked and paralyzed from the lightning bolts.
However, two of the strongest ones managed to barely dodge the attack one of them used the evasion spell but still suffered burns on the left side of its body as it was laying on the ground, and the other used a shield spell and armor spell as for how much it suffered, that was hard to tell thanks to the armor covering its body however it was releasing steam as it stood its ground.
The abyssal fiend was enjoying this, too bad its sibling wasn't here or the havoc they could have caused would've been even greater like when they fought against those hundreds of sorcerers.
it then fell to all four since its prey was too weakened right now The Abyssal fiend used a move that it copied from another archfiend inhaling so strongly that the lizardmen that were paralyzed quickly flew into the monster's vortex that crushed them all into an adult's fist-sized orb before it then used its tongue pulling the magic-filled meal into its mouth, consuming them with an audible crunch leaving two lizardmen left!
the remaining lizardmen felt their hearts sink into a cold abyss!(no pun intended)
as the hungry eyes of the monster looked towards them this beast was trying to make this last as long as possible!
But the incoming interlopers wouldn't allow that thus the Archfiend approached them slowly step by step the half fried lizardman was unable to move as the damage it received also affected its spine rendering it crippled, so it tried calling for help from its ally, but that hope quickly crumbled as when its ally's spells wore off its showed how extensive the damage was it wasn't that the lizardman was standing its ground but the armor held it in place as it died from the shock since it had really weak defense and it was vulnerable to volt element!
So the standing charcoaled lizardman died almost instantly!!
the abyssal fiend grabbed the dead lizardman then began feasting upon it all while looking at the other crippled lizardman with a hungry smile as the sound of flesh being torn and bones being crushed resounded with every chew it made, the summoned monster was trying to instill fear into the lizardman which it was succeeding in doing so gradually as it took the last bite from what was left of its ally.
As now, its time has come the lizardman tried to move trying to escape, now fearing for its life! the Abyssal fiend inhaled lightly at the ever-growing negative emotions of the crippled prey it was doing this to gain more magic to extend its stay as negative emotions of magic creatures was a potent source of energy that many summoners use to either make more summons or prolong the stay of their summons and the more adept the summon was with the magic, they could take on that task themselves, while this method is frowned upon by the majority of orders, it isn't forbidden.
The Abyssal fiend grabbed hold of the now crying lizardman that was trying to bite through the skin of the thumb in front of it so its captor decided to rip a piece off from it then cauterized the wound with its volt magic to savor its piece by piece.
the Avalon Sorcerers had arrived roughly half an hour as red streaks of light only to see a large blue-skinned archfiend feeding on something that looked like some kind of shawarma meat that was repeatedly burnt!

Rauon sorry about that currently on a trip I'll be fixing the chapters soon but look forward to the destruction that will happen in the next chapter since these guys are professionals compared to the instinct-driven lizardmen since they are more of strength in numbers than anything.
