"You need to be careful of some people among the clans. Some of them have haughty ambitions and they might try to manipulate you and harm you for the sake of their interests. I heard all of that from the same clan that attacked Ilian," Xagrien exposed just a part of the things that he has to say. He thought that it wasn't the right time yet. "That is all."

"Oh," Luis said. He would believe that this is everything that Xagrien has to say. That is if Xagrien weren't evading his stares.

Even the way Xagrien is speaking, it is obvious that he is being careful with his words.

If it was before when he was still haunted by the rejections that he experienced, then Luis will immediately give up and tell himself that Xagrien is not interested in him. However, the present is different.
