Luis silently raised his brow upon hearing the comment about Nicol's family affair. Actually, when Nicol said that he wanted to renunciate his clan or family, Luis had to blink twice with a gap in his mouth to process what he heard. The argument between Nicol and his father, Nihil, is a piece of old news to him since it's been brought to his attention as early as his first meeting with the patriarch. There were even times when he heard 'concerned' people talking about how Nicol suffered an injury when he tried to convince the patriarch to agree to unite with the other clans.

He thought it was nothing but a case of terror parent, but seeing how a physically weak Nicol didn't let an opportunity pass and cut his ties with his clan, Luis sensed that something serious must be happening underneath the situation.
