She was watching him a little too eagerly. Her eyes were shining like bright diamonds as she waited for his verdict. Caishen suddenly felt pressured as he put the fork to his mouth. This little food tasting private home event might as well be the most important thing he would be doing on this day. He certainly didn't want her to stop recommending things he had never tried. He had come to like it.

"Maybe you should back up a little." he suggested. 

She nodded like a gecko and moved backwards but the hopeful look in her eyes did not die down. 

He gulped, put the fork to his lips and the food in his mouth. 

"So...." Alix said a little too eagerly. 

He chewed slowly, giving himself an opportunity to taste and assess. When the corners of lips trembled, Alix had her answer.
