What do you do when you awaken in a foreign world? When everything around you is questionable. Is it an illusion or reality? Are you dead or alive? All I can tell you is what I did, Nothing. I didn't do a thing but lay naked on the cool earth in the middle of the night. I am surrounded by trees and the nocturnal animals that roam the woods.
I was lost, confused, completely without my wits. When the world didn't change and the night got colder. I stood up onto my bare feet and decided that I was alive. What then? Do I conquer the world, climb the pyramid to become the most powerful? No. I walk. Because all I could do. I picked a direction and I stuck to it.
Young and naked I walked the main road and arrived in a small town. I guess it was muscle memory. In all honesty I wasn't walking long before I found the town.
"Halt! Who goe-- Artes? Artes Lessa?! Where the hell have you been boy! We thought the damn Nilfgardians took ya! Get ya arse in here. And where are your clothes? Brut!" the guard shouted.
"Aye!"
"Artes is back. And he's bare as the day he was born! Get em some clothes!" The guard shouted again. I had no idea what was happening so I went on autopilot and followed their lead.
The guard at the gate let me in the town and Brut gave me clothing. 'Artes Lessa was my name. But then again it was not. It's not the name I was Born with. But it is the name they called me.'
I dress and decide to bide my time and learn all that I need to make a living…

1265 -White Orchid, Temeria
The crowd cheered me on as I delivered a knockout blow to my opponent. The big burly man dropped to dirt and the village spectators cheered. The soldiers grumbled but the officers laughed.
"I told ya! That Artes is a killer. Best fighter in the village. When you travellers learn and when will you solder stop doubting!" Brut spoke loud and bold so all could hear.
The women giggled amongst themselves and soldiers pouted as they handed over the money they had lost. I smile and appreciate the scene. It's been two years since I became Artes, and quite a lot has happened.
I suddenly focused on the soft slender arms that wrapped around my waist from behind. A smile graced my face and pulled a beautiful red head around to face me.
"Lydia, what are you doing here?" I ask
"Oh, I came to see you fight. I love it when you win, it gets me all warm and fuzzy" She sung, and a beautiful voice she had. I met Lydia the day after I woke up. She was Artes' childhood friend. When she heard of my return she tackled me and hugged me for what felt like an eternity. Her presence did something to me, then. Afterward she slapped the spit out of my mouth and cried in my arms about how I worried her. My heart throbbed and I realized that the past Artes loved this woman.
She was beautiful with an ample body and fair skin that glowed due to her fire red hair and hazel eyes. I subconsciously held her with a strength she hadn't felt before. I held her like a man held a woman, much to her surprise. Days went by and she stayed by my side and talked me through my amnesia in hopes to spur my memories. We grew closer and she could feel it too. I think it spooked her then. Then one day I saw her at a tavern flirting with some guy. Rage, jealousy, envy swelled inside me. Those feelings I could understand, but when a feeling of defeat emerged, I understood then what kind of person, Artes Lessa, was. I refused to be him. It was my first fight I ever had in this world and was the day I made Lydia my woman. She was happy, overjoyed that I stepped up. We've been together ever since.
"You know how much I love you around. But you should be with Tomira. We can't afford Temple--"
"But you can. We can leave here, I can go to temple and you--"
"No, the Temple will swallow everything that I've saved for us. If you finish learning from Tomira. We can live and live well. Both of us will have trade." I tell her. Lydia is extremely smart, she has a fast mind and wild spirit. I think if I hadn't merged with Artes, she would have been long gone by now. Sometimes I think it's selfish of me to keep her here, but what is love without selfishness?
"Aye, I know. In a few months I'll be finished. We can leave then, To Toussiant, Novigrad, Velen, even the isles. The whole world is for the taking. I'm just eager to explore it with you" Lydia places her hand on my face and pulls me down into a kiss.
"Mmm, I got sidetracked. I really came to tell you that he's back. And he's waiting at the place you he trained you"
"Did Tomira see him?" I asked worriedly
"I...I don't know." She replied.
"Hmm, go back to Tomira's. I'll get you when I'm finished. Do you still have--"
"Yes, I never go anywhere without. When the love of my life gifts me a blade before a ring, I understand what kind of man I'm in love with. Go" she says.
I smile and give her a few chaste kisses before taking my winnings and running in the direction of the high ground. The high ground was mound outside of the village near a place of power. I ran hard for a bit until I finally arrived and saw a battle dress man meditating.
"Raza!" I call out with excitement.
Raza opens his eyes and greets me with a warm smile. " Artes Lessa… I'm sorry I missed your birthday, kid"
I smirk and chuckle a bit " Fuck my birthday, Raza. I'm just glad you're back. You fucking witchers are a handful do you know that? You give me some god awful memory potion and leave a note before you run off"
Raza chuckled this time. "Do you find the amulet?" he asked
"Aye, before I those bastards killed me, or the original Artes. I gave it to Lydia for safekeeping. I knew exactly where to look when my memories came back."
"Good. Always keep it on you. And remember mages and sorcerers/ess are not your friends. They've already killed you once for that thing." Raza took a deep breath and looked me over. "It's hard to believe that you were just fifteen when I started training you. And just six months has passed since i've left."
Raza grabbed me by the shoulder. "You're taller, stronger, you've even gotten more handsome. I'm sure Lydia is killing village girls left and right."
I laugh and tell him "Lydia's the type to invite them over for fun. She's a bit different from most but the village girls don't complain and they keep the secret."
"Aye, you've got a good one. But in a year you'll be eighteen. The army will come calling"
"What about the sorcerer that killed me? The magic I have yet to learn? And the training I have yet to finish because of your absence?" I ask him.
Raza puts on a stupid smile, " The Sorcerer is dead. That's why I left. And I have a tome that could help with your magic but after we complete your training and we go our separate ways, eh?"
"Eh" I nod "Well, let's get to it. I've improved since you've left"
"Then show me, boy!" Raza took a fighting stance and went on offense to set the pace.
Raza is a good teacher, I met him around the same time as Lydia. When word of my disappearance and return began to circulate, Raza came to white orchard to investigate in hopes of getting paid. But when he got her. All he found was an amnesiac with a natural aptitude for combat.
Raza asked me questions about what happened and I gave him a truthful answer, I didn't remember. At least the memories from Artes' life weren't known to me. He took around a bit and spied me fighting wild dogs one day, I was out walking to clear my head and they ambushed me. Raza threw me a short sword and told me to fight. I did, I was injured for a few days but I came out on top.
Raza started to train me in the ways of the Viper school. It was similar to what I learned in my past life. Ninjutsu was my way, but it never hurt to learn and my body was weak at the time so I didn't mind. I shared a bed with Lydia and spent my day fighting. I was content. My body steadily caught up with my mind over time. Raza assumed I was a martial genius but I just had experienced and lacked the means to use it. But as my body grew stronger, things fell into place.
Raza soon took me to fight drowners, wolves, ghouls, and the occasional hag. He would sell the ingredients and always gave me my share. After my first year, he gifted my first sword set. Fangs, he called them. Mine were made of steel. He figured I would fight more men than monsters when he wasn't around.
Around the time I received my sword set, I awakened my latent power. Lydia was out on the riverside collecting Buckthorn -an alchemical ingredient found in water. She was attacked by by drowners and no matter how fast I ran, It seemed like I was not moving fast enough. My blood boiled and my line of sight narrowed, the world around me seemed to slow down and in a stream of white and crimson energy I appeared between Lydia and the drowners.
Raza saw everything and told me that I was someone known as a source. That I had the ability to use magic if properly trained. But from that day I saw things that other people could not, should not be able to.
Raza trained me hard for another six months and pushed me to use my time abilities to increase my reflexes. But then, he surprised me with a potion that witchers from the viper school used to regain their memories after being hit with mind altering curses. Raza had told me that he always wanted a son and I was the closests he ever got, the callous bastard. But it meant alot. I knew the potion could kill me but I had to know if I had enemies lurking about. That's the time I discovered Artes was murdered for some amulet he, I, found a few weeks before my death.
I told Raza everything I knew and that's when he vanished. But he's back now, and handled my sorcerer problem for me.
We spared for a few hours so Raza could get a grasp of my current level. And on the way home, I saw now what I saw everyday since I awakened my magic.

[World Map]
This is what I call the codex. It keeps track of virtually everything. And if it's one thing understood in all my time here in this foreign place, it's the codex. My inventory holds anything except living animals and races. It keeps them categorized based on skill, sort of. I have food and drink, Armor and Weapons, Quest Items and Other, oil and bombs, and finally Alchemy ingredients.
In the Alchemy tab, I have recipes for alcohol, bombs, oils, potions, decoctions, and alchemical substances. It's because of this in the witcher decoction that Raza gave, that I found out I could ingest witcher potions. Whatever I learn is slotted in the proper category and is forever at my disposal.
In the Quest tab, I have the main quest, Secondary Quest, Treasure Hunts, and completed quests for record. And though I am not a witcher, like every person alive, I am able to take witcher contracts. Since their numbers are dwindling, people just want monsters slain and they don't care who does it. Each quest is labeled with a minimum level for my convenience and each quest has a list of tasks that must be completed in order to gain experience points or XP.
Next, is my favorite tab, Character, this tab acts as my skill chart. My default tabs are Combat, Magic, Alchemy, General, and Mutagens (I have no idea what this for yet. But I'm guessing it's related to the Elder Gene. I'm not entirely sure, yet.). Due to the Mutagens tab, I also have a mutagen slot for application. The days that followed the codex awakening, I gained a few tabs as I lived my life, Sex, Fishing, Cooking, and Art. No matter the skill, if it can be developed, the Codes adds it. Each skill is developed by Talent Points earned from leveling up and places of power. Or I can train with sheer will and gain enough experience in a skill that the tree naturally develops. It's due to that incredible difficult road that I've been stockpiling talent points.
Meditation tab allows me to enter a state of nothingness, serenity, or enlightenment. But during this time, if I have alcohol, all of my items created through alchemy are replenished automatically.
Now, Glossary is a bit different. I have a bestiary of the moonsters that Raza taught, a tutorial tab that has information on shit which is super odd -it records everything from combat techniques to what stitching pants. What I learn, it records the instructions of how to do it. Next is even weirder, it is a character chart of everyone i've met and what I know about them, then I have my books (Library on the go). And when Lydia taught me how to stitch pants, a crafting tab appeared here. So as long as I have the materials and the diagrams I can craft it all.
Finally, the world map. It's godlike. Anyway I hadn't been, was marked with a question mark, potential quests are yellow exclamation marks, and when a notice board is yellow, there is a potential job, not just witcher contracts. The World map also shows me the entire content. Right now there isn't a place in white orchard I haven't been.
All in all, the Codex is phenomenal.
I soon arrived at Tomira's place to collect Lydia. I could tell she was a bit worried about me and even more so worried that Raza had returned with bad news and I had decided to flee without her.
When Tomira opened the house door, Lydia dashed pass Tomira and latched on to me as if I was going to turn to a puff of smoke and vanish at that very moment.
"Haha what's wrong with you girl?" I ask
"Nothing, nothing at all." She replied "Can we go home, love?"
"Of course we can"
Lydia just held me that night and she didn't let go. The next morning before the sun had risen, I woke and dressed. It was a daily routine that I had to start my training early so that can make the most of my day.
Making my way to the highmound. I stopped by Raza's hunting cottage to find that he had already left. It was no surprise when I found him waiting on me at the high mound.
"You still wake up early as fuck. Has anyone ever taught you to sleep in?"
"I'm a bastard from a long line of bastards. There was no one to teach me, you prick." I reply and Raza opens one eye and looks at me with a smirk.
"Prick you say? Then I guess you won't be needing this prick's birthday present?"
"Hey hey, cut the shit. I didn't say that. I would happily accept whatever gift you have for me." I say with a smile
"Hmm" Raza puts his fingers to his lips and produces one hard blow. A whistle ripped through the morning silence and the sound of hooves striking the earth sped towards us.
It was the most beautiful mare I had ever seen. A strong, black coated horse with blazing red eyes and eight legs. I was in utter awe of the beast.
"He's yours." Said Raza, I didn't believe him, "A sleipnir from the Isles of Skellige. It will follow you to the gates of hell and beyond." he added
I had no idea what to say but, "Thank you, Raza. I could ask for no better gift."
"I know. Now come on, we have work to do" he then pulled me away from the sleipnir.
_________________________________________
Raza was on the older side, even for a witcher. But that didn't mean he wasn't strong. But it did mean the risk of the job was higher.
"Aye, the amulet holds power to reduce the strain of magic. The sorcerer said it was of a rare grade. That's all I got from him before I ran him through" Said Raza
"So what will you do now, I mean you, you can complete my witchers education but then what? In six months we'll be finished. Then Lydia and I are going away. Most likely Novigrad. I think she would like it there." I wanted to avoid the discussion about the amulet. The day I added it to my inventory. The Codex told me everything I needed to know. It was a diabolical piece of work. But I found it to be useful, so I kept it.
"I'll go home to Toussaint. I'm getting too old, kid. It's time to sit down. The viper school is nearly all but finished, now. But, do you do as I said? Did you get rid of that cursed thing?" Raza asked
"Of course. It's already killed me once, Raza." I had to lie. It was the only way to keep the old man from worrying.
"Good, good. So, today I'm going to teach about lures. Every beast has a lure. It's the herb, decoctions, and even a specific animal that a monster just can't resist…"
For the next six months I learned. Raza and I had our spars but my lessons were mostly about knowledge based. We did the occasional local contracts and I still fought at the tavern to make a few coins in my spare time. But the greatest achievement of those six months was something I couldn't accomplish without Lydia.
She had finally completed her apprenticeship with Tomira the herbalist and she had lots of freetime. The woman became insatiable. An unquenchable thirst for cock born from boredom festered within her. When we woke in the morning, I would wake with my cock in her mouth or balls deep in her hungry cunt. When she brought me lunch, in the tavern after a fight, in the woods on our walks home, well into the night, and in a brief three months of our sexcapades, my Sex development tree had bloomed nicely and even rewarded me with a perk that would make all men Jealous.

Mystical Hands 9/10
Oral 7/10
Dick Game 9/10
BDSM 8/10
* Fertility on/off -Prerequisite: First impregnation]
Unlike my original character tabs, all additional skills have a sort of evolutionary effect. As far as the tutorial goes. Once a sub-skill reaches level ten in a certain area it will evolve into a more superior version of that subskill. Mystical Hands, a skill that blesses my hands with the perfect touch. Now it's merely used to arouse and help Lydia to her peak . Oral, affects the pleasure my partner receives from a kiss, lick, bite, slurp or suck. It's the art of the tongue that makes women beg for mercy and crave for more. The Dick Game is an art of the stroke and cock control. Stamina, endurance, recovery, orgasim control. The more I level up the better I become. But, with just Lydia and the village girls that have barely any experience. I seem divine and the XP I get from them now is far from sufficient. And on the other subkills like Oral and BDSM, I don't do enough or try to avoid them.
BDSM increases the pain and pleasure in the crack of my whip or the strike of my hand, draws in submissive people and allows me to exude my dominant nature. I can detect submissive and/or masochistic natures in a crowd. But it's a double edged blade. The more I act on my desires, the more the skill corrupts something inside of me. It even shows when I fight monsters and handle people. A sadistic nature seeps out and if the target isn't mentally strong enough they become docile a fall prey to wims. It's almost demonic.
But, the newest Skill is fertility. I can now choose when I want to impregnate a woman. It suddenly appeared one day, and I was sweating bullets. I was so worried I had knocked up a village girl during one of our little threesomes. That is until Lydia surprised and told me the great news.
It's been a month since then. Raza completed my witcher's education, Lydia was finished with her apprenticeship, And I finally told Lydia about the total sum of money I actually had saved up. She threw a fit for a while but then calmed down long enough to talk me into taking her younger sister with us. She was two years younger, but already of marriage age. Lydia didn't want to leave her to the whims of her drunken father, so Nessa and Lydia now sat in a carriage that I had brought her from Vizima. The house was now sold. What I couldn't fit in my inventory was put on a wagon driven by a hired hand.
"Hey, Artes! Let me speak to you for a moment." Raza pulled me to the side and I could see the look in Lydia's eyes become sharp.
"Do you want to destroy my family before it begins, old man?" I ask him
"No, but this is important brat." Raza had a deadly look in his eye and I knew it. We were fucked. "The Governor wants us to deliver a message to Vizima. He's paying a handsome sum of which I have already taken--"
"What the fuck, Raza"
"I. Had. To. I don't know what the fuck this package is. But the governor was ready to have me executed for it. You heard about the last witcher, ehh? You have a woman and child on the way. Your woman's sister is now your charge as well. I couldn't say no for your sake, boy"
I sigh. He was right, Ignatius was a fucking lunatic. I despised the man but he paid well. And it wouldn't be beneath him to hold my family hostage.
"Fuck it" I say "What's the job and what's the risk level"
Raza began to speak but I toned him out and focused on the all powerful Codex
[Name: Artes Lessa]

Main Quest: Lv.35 The White Orchard Affair]
'Fuck!' I cursed in my mind. I knew it. I've never had a main quest. Even Training with Raza was a secondary quest. Retrieving my memories was a secondary request. And just when I leave this hick town to live a nice life. This shit happens. I take a deep breath and refocus.
[Main Quest: Lv. 35 The White Orchard Affair]
Artes and Lydia have met the requirements to move away from White Orchard -Finally. Everything seemed perfect, Lydia is one month pregnant with Artes' child and he has accepted to also provide for her younger sister, Nessa, wherever they make their new home.
All is well, but duality prevails, when his mentor and close friend, Raza, is summoned to the manor of Ignatius Verrieres - Governor of White Orchard. Presented with an option of death or gold, Raza accepted one last witcher contract that required he and Artes to deliver a secret package to one, Princess Adda the White of Temeria. Artes in his family must now travel south to the Royal Palace in Vizima in order to travel north to start his family…
[Task: Travel to Vizima with your family and Raza. Do not open or lose the package.]
"Well, I guess it's time to go. But I want my money, now" I told Raza. I knew it wasn't his fault and knew he only acted in the best interest of my family. But, fuck. I knew the mission wasn't as simple as he probably thought it was.
"Ayye, 50,000 Orens. Here" he dropped a pouch in my hand and I tossed in the codex as I walked away.
Raza drove the carriage with Lydia and Nessa, while I rode the Sleipnir that Raza gifted me, I named him, Tyr. Together, we set off to Vizima.
Princess Adda was born in 1239 on the game timeline. In the series she was saved about 14 years afterward. I simply combined those two facts. So, in 1265(this story) Princess Adda the White is about 26 years old in this tale. And it's a good handful of years before the second Striga problem occurs in Vizima.
The main timeline is the game. It will be complemented by the books and or other works.
