Capítulo 24: CH.22 - The Other Side.

"Well, if this is where they lived then let's go down, maybe there is something to get out, I don't think you can stay alone for such a long time in a desolate place no matter how powerful you are"

"Nn, if it is a magician from the age of gods, it wouldn't be weird if they had some sort of teleportation magic to take them to the surface." Affirmed Yue.

'This old hag sure know her history...' thought Enkai

"Urgh!..why did you hit me again..?!" Before receveing another punch in the gut from Yue

"Yeah, I will listen to him anyway..."

The one talking was Hajime, to a bird he met while climbing up the floors, the birds was getting hunted by several other birds, at first Hajime was going to kill all of them but after seeing the bird getting hunted by his own kind, felt sorry and let him go. But never would he thought that the bird would be following him the whole floor.

When he was about to go up the bird flew toward him and landed on his shoulder, since then he became Hajime's companion, giving him a little bit of company in this lone place which he named it...

"Let's take a brake Kaida..."

While Enkai was meeting with a certain princess, Hajime was climbing up, hoping to reach the surface. Like Enkai, Hajime's journey to the top, literally, was easy, maybe even more easier than Enkai. At first, he had to fight while climbing a wall, fortunately his Donner and Schlag were there for him, but he had some issue with the reloading, making the climbing a tad bit tiring.

After climbing a bit he saw a hole in a wall, they were many holes but this one a was a lot bigger. He decided to go there, and finally gained hope. What he saw was the 100th floor, and a geyser, probably the one who sent them to the abyss.

(A/N : For those who don't understand, when they fell they should've reach the 100th floor but because of the geyser they were sent outside the hole leading them in the abyss while they were unconscious.

I made it up so don't search in the novel)

He still remember his reaction after reaching the 100th floor, well, at first he was laughing hard until the geyser almost made him fall again. Let's say that the geyser will never act again. If one could see him that day, that person would surely think that Hajime was crazy. Even the magic beast didn't dare to approach him.

"Well...I don't care, I should be on the 71th floor, and I am taking my time...hmm ? Oh shit ! He's going to kill me..." Hajime said, but panicked after seeing the "Mobile Ore", a shitty name if he thought about it now.

From seeing the glow of the Ore, which was not really bright, he could easily deduce the message was sent a few hours ago.

"Well...should I brake it or lose it ?" Hajime asked to Kaida, the bird screeched in response.

"What do you mean "I am hungry" ?! This is a life or death situation."

"Screee (R.I.P)"

"Huh ? Where did you even learned that ?" Hajime said bewildered

"Urhg....anyway, let's go I am going to go crazy if I don't eat some good, at least before when I ate I gained a few stats but now I need to eat those boss monster to gain only 5 to 15 point per stats"

If someone from the surface heard him they would surely vomit blood while thinking 'You gain stats while eating and you still complain'

But for Hajime, even if he could still gain stats he was disappointed he knew that he needed to get stronger, by a lot to maybe solo the same labyrinthe he is escaping from while leaving his friends.

He took one last look at his status plate before sighing :

'Everybody would kill to have stats like that but I know...it's still not enough to finish all of the labyrinthe alone...' thought Hajime, sighing for the second time with a wry smile.

Readying his weapons, a look of determination appearing of his face thinking

'Let's go, I will catch up to you Enkai, I still need to repay you..'

"Screeee" a screech brought him back to reality

"...hmm..? Fuck yes you're right, I will respond now or else...I don't want to think about it..."

Like this, Hajime fought with Kaida, crossing the floors easily by making his way through the magic beasts, easily shredding them. At this moment Hajime wasn't counting the floor anymore, with the sole goal of reaching the surface.

He didn't know how much time he fought but Kaida fell asleep on his shoulder while still killing the magic beasts but stopped before a big door, a big door he will never forget since there is another one similar to this one at the opposite side.

'So this is the 65th floor...I wonder how does behemoth meat taste...kidding, it will be disgusting as always but well...having revenge is good too'
