"Speak what you wish to propose," started the demon beast, as it let Raon take the initiative.

"Before that, don't you have a name? You never gave one," inquired Raon.

"Niveus," responded the demon beast.

Raon narrowed his eyes in response to the answer as he queried, "Is that your real name or... like an alias?"

The demon beast just shook its head, not minding Raon's tone or the talk that naturally baffled Raon. 'Why is there no retort or show of dominance?'

"Stop with your useless thoughts," suggested Niveus. "Unlike you humans, who get their names from parents, family, or others, we demon beasts are not like that. We don't name our young ones. Only when we gain sentience at Stage 4 do we name ourselves. But some don't because they don't have any use of a name."
