Capítulo 22: Dancing in The Flames
Another beautiful car is gone.
Henrietta is lying on the ground unconscious.
Adam's left leg is stuck in the car and he cannot get out while he bleeds out.
It was a truly miserable experience.
Thankfully our beloved friends from Darkus Maximus were walking towards Adam to put him out of his misery.
They are truly such nice people.
Adam was fuming, his rage could barely stop it from showing on his face.
And yes, he was angry because the car got destroyed.
He wasn't worried about this group of 5, 5th-tier dark mages coming his way to poke fun at him and then end his miserable existence.
He could feel the burn on his leg that was still stuck in the crashed car. He didn't feel pain from the burning; he felt heat on his foot. It seems that Adam was incapable of feeling any sensations on his skin. He could only feel heat or cold.
Either way, Adam didn't want to barbecue his leg, he had to deal with this issue quickly.
Adam already had a plan in mind.
The 5 dark mages made their way towards Adam, walking nonchalantly towards him.
They were talking to each other about how incredibly easy it was for them to complete this priority mission and how sweet the bonuses would be for them once they brought back Adam's lifeless body intact.
They chose to ignore the maid since they believed she was just a simple civilian who could not become a high-tier undead.
As they made their way towards the now upside down and ruined car, they could see a pair of bright purple eyes staring daggers into their direction.
"Pfft look at this loser getting mad that we got the jump on him."
"Hahaha, it's always so funny to me that these people genuinely think that they can f*ck with us and don't expect any retaliation."
"It's almost as if all the people who mess with us are r*tarded, really think about it. Who in their right mind would want to mess with us? Especially all on their own."
The Dark mages were having a jolly good time looking at the sorry state of their target lying on the ground bleeding out unable to escape.
Little did they know their entire situation was about to be flipped upside down.
They chose to play with their prey a little before they sent him away.
"[Dark Bolt ]"
One of the mages fired the 1st tier spell dark bolt and pierced through Adam's shoulder just to make him feel some pain before they erased his existence.
Oddly, the expression on Adam's face didn't change, as if nothing had happened, with his shoulder bleeding heavily, he was now lying in a puddle of his blood.
The Dark Mages were finally close enough. It was now Adam's turn.
With a snap of his finger, he activated [OSCILLATOR] all of the dark mages fell to the ground in deep sleep.
It was quite a comical situation.
5 individuals 5 times stronger than Adam were now at his mercy all because they didn't think that Adam would use audio frequencies to prepare them for the afterlife.
How could they even prepare for something like this?
Nobody in this world even knew that sound can have such drastic effects on the human mind. Especially sound that can't even be perceived by the human ears after a certain level.
Adam finally managed to get his foot out of the car. His entire attire was now scrapped and torn, smothered in his blood. Dirt mixed with blood stuck on his face.
He didn't care about any of it.
What mattered the most right now was to get rid of these dark mage pieces of sh*t.
Taking out his sword he slit the neck of all of them as they lay on the ground.
Minimal movements because his shoulder wouldn't stop bleeding.
He could feel strength leave his body as he lost more and more blood.
For him, even that was within his calculations.
As soon as he slit the throat of the last mage, a system window popped up.

The catastrophe was averted, but the future looked bleak.
The car was destroyed and unusable, Adam had his leg injured and couldn't walk much less run, he still hadn't checked up on Henrietta's condition after she was pushed to the ground.
His clothes and appearance were ruined because of all the dirt and blood he ended up being covered with while going through this ordeal.
He didn't get to lament his current state any further, however. The system had other plans.

The system was going on and on with backhanded compliments towards Adam.
Adam had bigger fish to fry right now.
Darkus Maximus was out to get him and they are very stubborn once they determine someone is an enemy.
Adam had seen this coming however, it would be weird if he dismantled an entire main quest before the story even started and faced no consequences.
It was quite comical that the consequences turned out to be so dire.
Right now Adam is focused on removing all proof of any event occurring here.
Luckily for Adam, there was a lot of dry grass near him, which he started piling on the burning car, due to the horrible state of his body and an abysmally low strength stat he had to drag the bodies one by one to the fire and burnt their bodies on the fire.
If you leave even a single limb of a dark mage intact, 24 hours after their death, they automatically turn into an undead, their stats become double their original stats and they retain all of their memories.
In the game whenever you killed a dark mage but left their body intact and they self revived in 24 hours, 2 things would happen.
They either immediately snitch on you to Darkus Maximus, or they speed towards you with everything they have, hug you, and then use corpse explosion on themselves.
They basically became suicide bombers.
Even the final boss of the Darkus Maximus would suicide bomb whenever his life was extremely low and the players had to be ready for that.
It was a hilariously frustrating way to die.
A slight smile appeared on Adam's face as he thought back to all of the comments on the game forums of players who complained about these abhorrent and cheap ways to make the game difficult and tedious, people used to get so creative whenever they said mean things on the internet.
While Adam threw the bodies of the dark mages onto the burning chassis of the car he liked so much.
In just a few moments the mana engine embedded into the car would overload and explode leaving nothing but ashes.
The perfect way to get rid of those pesky dark mages.
That's when Adam finally remembered, he still had to reach the academy before the entrance exam started.
The distance was too large between him and the academy, his agility wasn't enough to reach in time. His agility was too low, the vehicle he was driving was much faster than even tier 5 warriors on straight roads.
Suddenly the mana core destabilized and exploded leaving nothing but ashes and a crater on the road.
It was really funny, the Royal Magic Defence System turned out to be completely useless when your vehicle gets destroyed instantly. By a 5th-tier spell.
No wonder Cain Iglesias would shut down the entire car industry of the empire because of how pointless and unprofitable the venture was no matter how much he tried.
A barrage of system messages appeared.

Adam had only leveled up 100 times after killing 5, tier 5 enemies.
It made no sense. He should at least be at level 250 by now. The system came in to enlighten him.

This was disappointing but acceptable for Adam.
He now had 1000 unallocated stat points, he chose to save most of them and only spent 226 stat points bringing his agility up to 300.
This still wasn't enough since he still wouldn't be able to reach the academy in time.
It was time to get a skill he had planned to get at a later date.

[SPEED DEMON] was a skill used by the notorious apostle of the God of Shadows called Hakim Kagan, the only character who had the only agility build and was so fast that it was impossible to catch him.
To catch him you would need to gain blessings of the God of Shadows and the God of Freedom and spend all of your stat points into agility.
Nobody caught him in the end because playing the game with such a terrible build made it impossible to do enough damage to kill the bosses and getting people in your party became harder too since nobody wants to carry a non-support zero DPS.
Adam had plans to deal with Hakim in the academy soon.
Turns out that fate had other plans.

Adam had no idea what was going on, he had never even heard of this skill and somehow magically even without becoming a follower of a God in this world, he had gained the Divinity stat.
After reading the skill description it turns out that this unknown skill was a better version of [SPEED DEMON] but used Divinity instead of mana.
Adam then went on to absorb the book he got from the old man in Brahken and the GRAV stone.

Adam went on to spend 374 stat points on Divinity along with the Dorman 50 Divinity he already had due to his 500 reputation since 10 reputation was equal to 1 Divinity.
Adam now had a total Divinity of 424
Adam conserved the remaining 400 stat points for a rainy day.
It was now time to get back on track and get back on track.
Adam held the sleeping Henrietta in his arms in the princess's hold and got ready for a sprint to the capital. Henrietta was extremely light, so much so that even a weakling like Adam could hold her.
Thanks to [PSUEDO-IMMORTAL] Adam's leg injury had healed and he could run normally again, there was still a small hole on his shoulder however, it would at least take a day to plug that hole up without any healing items or spells from divine priests or mages.
Adam looked at the road ahead holding Henrietta in his arms.
It's a shame he couldn't put Henrietta in his inventory instead.
A part of him was cringing at the sight of running a long distance with a girl in his arms but he had to do it since there was no other choice.
Adam activated [GODSPEED].
He felt as if the world had frozen for everyone except for him. Adam didn't realize but a bright purple aura had started radiating out of his body.
His eyes glowed and the light reflected from his hair giving them a light purple hue.
Adam vanished from where he stood.
For him, everything seemed normal but for some reason, the bees that hopped from flower to flower or the tree branches that fluttered with the wind all seemed to have come to a standstill.
Adam ran so fast and crossed such a long distance so quickly with this combination that he made it to the capital by night.
He made his way through the capital to his newly bought villa. A bunch of servants had already been prepared by Anita that were on her payroll.
Adam poured a healing potion on himself and hit the bed.
While he slept, his actions had just changed the timeliness drastically.
Far away in space, within the sun of the solar system in which Klienova existed, 10 stars existed in it of varied types.
One of the stars within the sun that shined the brightest, was none other than Iudicium, The God of Justice and the ruler of the 10 Gods that controlled and toyed with everything in the world of Klienova.
The Gods were currently in slumber, awaiting their next script to start with the resurgence of the Demon Lord.
They were supposed to awaken from their slumber after another year.
Something had caused Iudicium to wake up prematurely. Being the strongest and the Leader of the 10 gods he sensed something they didn't.
'I sense an unfamiliar Divinity.'
He looked towards the left, far far away from the sun where he and the other gods resided on the opposite side of the solar system.
He could see a faint yet vibrant purple glimmer beside the final and farthest planet of the solar system.
A new star was born. A purple star, something they had never seen before. The existence of a new God was quite concerning but it wasn't the first time Iudicium had dealt with a God.
He hated variables like these the most.
Soon he moved his eyes elsewhere.
What he saw shook him to his core.
Another sun that never existed in the first place, covered in oriental clouds.
Within the sun, there were another 10 individuals who had the same amount of power as the gods of this world.
He looked towards the strongest individual within them.
It looked like an old man wearing sandals with shorts and a t-shirt with palm tree patterns on them as he wore sunglasses, lying on a lounger while sunbathing in the sun.
Suddenly the old man moved his head towards Iudicium with a devious smile, waving to him as if it were someone new in the neighborhood giving greetings to his neighbors.
The difference in the temperament of the old man and Iudicium was obvious.
Iudicium was sweating bullets at the thought of this new development that took place while he slumbered.
It was time for the 10 Gods to wake up much quicker than planned.
Within Klienova, The Queen of dragons Sahmira rested within the volcano stronghold of the dragons located in the southernmost corner of the continent.
She sensed a familiar energy, one that she could never forget even after countless lifetimes.
'Mesmer...'
It was a bittersweet memory.
One which she now reminisced about due to the familiar sensation she had just felt.
Quickly, the bittersweet expression on the Dragon queen's face turned into vengeful anger.
'So you're still alive after all this time?'
Even though she originally had a desire for him, in the end, he committed unforgivable sins.
The only regret Sahmira had as she went into the last 100 years of her life cycle was that she didn't kill the love of her life with her own hands.
The humans had taken that wish away from her, they beat her to the chase and killed Mesmer first.
'I will make sure I fulfill our promise this time Mesmer.'
With that thought, the intense emotions that stirred within her caused immense energy fluctuations so strong that it started shaking the tectonic plates causing earthquakes all around the continent.
Noticing the drastic spike in energy Sahmira's daughter Shaheen rushed to the throne room, along with her uncle Darko, Sahmira's childhood friend, a dragon as old as the dragon queen herself.
"Mom what happened why are you angry?"
Darko chimed in as well.
"Sahmy the shaking made all the books in our library fall off the shelves what happened?"
After calming her mental state, the dragon queen announced to every dragon present in the throne room.
"Mesmer has returned."
The whole dragon court went into an uproar as pure chaos of conversations ensued between the many dragons present .
For Shaheen it was her father that she had never met. She didn't know how to feel about this development.
Unbeknownst to everyone else, Darko clenched his fist in silent rage.

omniscientlean okay so the original plan was to give you all 10 chapters back to back on the new year. Sadly didn't work out that way.
life just kept raw dogging me back to back non stop like the choo Choo train.
I have exams non stop till Jan 20th
originally I wanted to complete 100 chapters by February since I started writing for the first time in November. that now feels like it will be impossible to achieve in the last 10 days of January.
The first part of this chapter wasn't fun to write because I had to keep check of all the stats and technicalities of the setting and the system.
but I think I brought it back home by then end.
