Her sleep had been restless. The sound of rain pattering on the canvas roof was a soothing sound that had helped to calm her mind.

It had not been enough to ease the feeling of anxiety that seemed to have settled deep in the pit of her stomach.

She wasn't sure what the source was. The anxiety had been a constant companion of hers since Donncahd was injured.

Actually - it was there since she'd realized what world she was in. She'd had a constant background radiation of fear and anxiety that never really went away and only got worse as things continued to slide down toward the inevitable mortal end for her.
