16.27% The Unlucky Vampire Found His Lucky Charm / Chapter 35: LACRIMOSO

Capítulo 35: LACRIMOSO

Lacrimoso: tearful.

That afternoon, as usual, Yang Liu spent time in the library during lunch break. Sometimes, he stuffed his ears with earphones then pretended to be asleep, but other times, he just rested his head on the table to pretend to be asleep.

Actually, he didn't have any purpose behind his actions. He just didn't want to look weird if he had to be silent doing nothing while in the library. He was lazy to read, so he better pretended to have a journey to the dreamland.

In fact, Yang Liu felt increasingly uncomfortable with his routine that was always blurry when lunchtime came. Fang Xing asked more and more questions about why he didn't eat or drink during that period, and he was getting more and more numb, unable to find any creative and sensible answers to his close friend's question.

Yang Liu was tired of this life that was not really alive.

The handsome boy finally chose to start his acting. He was just about to lay his head on the table when his eyes found a sheet of A3 size paper placed on the table. His eyes narrowed, then he looked up to see the human being who was presumptuously placing the large sheet of paper on his desk.

"What is this?" He asked the perpetrator.

He, Zhou Yongliang, did not immediately answer and instead sat next to Yang Liu. "A present for you. What else?"

Yang Liu grabbed the paper in front of him, and then he carefully looked at the colored image presented in front of him.

It was the image of a man, that was what appeared in Yang Liu's eyes. The man's skin was pale white, his hair was charcoal black, his eyes were bright red, and his pair of lips were also as red as blood. The thick lips parted slightly and revealed a pair of sharp fangs. The image was familiar to his eyes. He seemed to be in the mirror when he looked at the picture.

"What does this mean?" Yang Liu subconsciously raised his tone.

He looked at the other boy who was sitting beside him. He was not giving a regular gaze, but he was glaring at the brown-haired student. He wanted to warn the other guy so the guy wouldn't mess up with his life anymore.

"Why?" Zhou Yongliang did not feel intimidated. "Didn't I say that you were my vampire this morning?"

Yang Liu calmed down slowly. True, Zhou Yongliang did not intend to portray his true identity. The shorter boy was just pouring out his imagination. The boy couldn't know about his true identity, right?

"The teacher told us to draw an imaginary object. Vampires are real. They are not imaginary objects," Yang Liu stated as he shifted his gaze away from the shorter boy.

"So what?" Zhou Yongliang boldly challenged him. "The world is peaceful now. There are no vampires anywhere. We can say that vampire is just an imaginary object."

Yang Liu felt a slight pang in his heart. Even as a vampire, his existence was not important and could be easily forgotten. He felt useless and lost all his hopes. It was better to just die, right?

Yang Liu just stared at Zhou Yongliang's masterpiece with a gloomy gaze. Vampires were just hopeless creatures. In addition, he wasn't a genuine vampire. He was not a human, but not a complete vampire either.

"Yang Liu…" The call made Yang Liu turn away from the image he had been staring at for a while. "Why don't you have lunch?"

Ah, that question again. Why did he have to get that question again? He had managed to avoid Fang Xing today, but now it was Zhou Yongliang who ambushed him.

"I'm not hungry." It was the classic answer that finally slid off his thick lips as his hand placed Zhou Yongliang's drawing paper back onto the table.

He was still staring silently at Zhou Yongliang's handiwork on the table, but he was shocked again when suddenly, a packet of bread and a bottle of milk placed on the table, right next to the drawing paper that he had been paying close attention to.

"You can get sick if you keep skipping lunch," the guy next to him said softly.

Yang Liu finally turned to the other guy again. The other guy was still smiling at him as if he didn't feel uncomfortable even though he treated him coldly.

"Mind your own business," Yang Liu replied coldly as he rested his head on the table. He buried his face in his arms and pretended to be sleeping.

He didn't get a reply from the other boy, but he knew that the boy was still there. He could feel the heat radiated from the boy's body. He silently prayed for the boy to leave him alone as soon as possible.

"I don't have any bad intention toward you, Yang Liu."

He could hear Zhou Yongliang spoke again, but he ignored him.

"If I make you uncomfortable, then I will leave you alone," Zhou Yongliang spoke again. "I will go back to class so you can eat in peace. See you later, my vampire."

Yang Liu could hear the chair beside him being dragged, and the heat that radiated from his side slowly disappear. He knew that his classmate had left him alone in the library.

The vampire then straightened his body and turned to the empty chair beside him. Even the scent of Zhou Yongliang remained there, and he subconsciously inhaled to enjoy the vanilla scent.

Before long, he turned his attention to the bread and milk that Zhou Yongliang had put down earlier.

'When was the last time I eat bread?' Yang Liu asked himself.

His memory wandered to the old days when he could eat and drank freely. The day when he didn't need to pretend to be a human. The day when he didn't feel empty and lonely. He missed those old times.

Yang Liu sighed as he took the bread. He looked at it with tearful eyes. "I even forgot how the bread tastes," he said with a bitter smile.
