Luke saw Elena's expression changed after she talked about her family, and it was his first time to hear about Elena's past from her mouth.

Luke already knew some of her stories from his parents, but Elena herself never talked or mentioned to him about her family. Luke patted her head and said, "You don't need to tell me if it is not easy for you."

I burst into tears when I heard Luke's statement. I hugged Luke tightly and buried my face on his chest.

It is uncomfortable for me every time I remember about my past. I clenched Luke's pajama tightly, and I could feel the warmth of his hand on my back.

It was the first time Luke saw Elena cried so desperately like this. Luke couldn't imagine how miserable Elena was in the past.

"Don't force yourself to tell me about it if it is unbearable for you," Luke said with a gentle and soothing voice.
