Eleonore’s POV
Everything feels like a dream.
I had laid in my bed for what felt like hours after the sun had already risen, on my back with my eyes open as I stared at the ceiling. There was a pattern of spirals painted across it, if I stared at it long enough I could almost claim it was a depiction of something.
I thought then that the rooms here and the ones at the mages compound was so different. Whereas the mages compound integrated silver and overgrown greenery into the aesthetics of the main house, the wolves seemed to favor elaborate wooden structures and pillars coupled with many, many open windows.
The windows all around seemed to look at every expanse of the territory, the north facing ones looked out into the training grounds before the forests, and the south looked out into a wide open space where, sometimes, I saw wolves running about at night.
