Noticing that Araki's chakra had suddenly stabilized as a huge amount of chakra was unsealed from one of his seals. Hashirama and Tobirama let out a breath of relief.
Hashirama started walking towards Madara then…
"Let's kill him now, elder brother," Tobirama said since this was indeed the best chance to kill Madara.
"No… Let me talk to him. I want to know his motives first." Hashirama shook his head before informing Tobirama of his desire.
Tobirama didn't try to stop Hashirama. He was well aware of how stubborn his elder brother was. The most he could do was stay by his side cautiously…
Hashirama stared at the injured body of Madara and noticed a smile, which made it seem as if he was happy yet bitter about this fight.
"Hashirama, huh?"
"Hmm…" Hashirama let out a grunt in agreement before speaking, "Madara… Tell me what happened between you and Araki?"
Perhaps it was because Madara was defeated or perhaps he was tired, he opened his mouth. He started explaining, "Let me start from how I survived the final battle against you, Hashirama."
With that, Madara went on speaking about how he had survived the final battle against Hashirama using Izanagi and sacrificing his right eye.
It was unknown why he was taking the trouble to explain everything to Hashirama and Tobirama.
Madara explained how he had substituted his body with his Shadow Clone and implanted Hashirama's cells into his body which he had a bit from Hashirama's arm in their final battle.
Near the end of his life… He had awakened it… The Rinnegan. He had attained the power of the legend named Sage of the Six Paths, Hagoromo Otsutsuki.
He mentioned how Hashirama's ideology was flawed. Wars occurred once again even though with Hashirama's actions, it should have settled down in peace.
"Humanity is the name of an animal that cannot find joy without suffering. That is why… I was planning on removing this suffering… With my Infinite Tsukuyomi!"
Madara mentioned that he was planning to cast a Genjutsu over the whole world, let them all dream of their own ideal lives, while he was managing their bodies which had been cast into Infinite Tsukuyomi.
The world would finally be at peace. There would be no ongoing wars…
At this, Hashirama stayed quiet for a long time. He was well aware of his friend Madara… He knew that Madara wouldn't lie at this point… At least about his ideals, he wouldn't lie.
He knew Madara was someone who found a thrill in a fight. Perhaps it was because of his Uchiha Blood or just his character, but he found immense joy at fighting against someone with his full strength.
The satisfied look on Madara's face showed that he truly was happy after having fought against Araki. But he was bitter about it since he couldn't put his plan into motion now.
The fact that Madara was putting Infinite Tsukuyomi on the whole world meant that he was planning on becoming an overseer who would watch over the bodies of all the people trapped inside the Infinite Tsukuyomi.
To the Madara who loved to fight, this was nothing sort of torture. Just what would he do without any fighting? Not an individual to talk to… Simply roaming in the empty world…
Yet, he was willing to go through that to bring peace in the world. Perhaps this was something that once again showed Hashirama just why he had become friends with Madara in the first place. The man was ready to do anything to bring peace to the world, even if it was going against the whole world …
Madara wasn't finished though, he mentioned about how he met up with Araki for the first time. A fond smile appeared on Hashirama's face as he heard about Araki from Madara's mouth.
Meanwhile, Tobirama had a grim look on his face. From what he understood… Konoha had somehow betrayed the Uzumaki Clan at the end of the Second Shinobi War. Moreover, it was none other than his students, Danzo and Hiruzen, who had done it.
This made him frown a lot. Hashirama was also quite angry… To think Hiruzen would give up on the Uzumaki Clan…
If Madara had spoken about the Uchiha Clan receiving scorn from Konoha, perhaps only Hashirama would have frowned or become angry, since Hashirama had always told Tobirama and Hiruzen to stay neutral while deciding on Uchiha Clan's matters.
But…It seemed that even the Uzumaki Clan wasn't spared… Hashirama felt quite apologetic to his wife. Perhaps if he had been stricter, they would have heeded his words more…
Meanwhile, Tobirama really felt like reviving the monkey and beating the shit out of him. He also understood why Araki had killed the monkey.
Madara also mentioned that Araki came a second time to meet him after he found out that Madara had implanted Hashirama's cells into himself.
Madara mentioned that time, it was his own mortal body which gave out. If not, he shouldn't have much issue in killing Araki.
"Hoh… Really? Even though you are in such a state, you are still begging for a beating, Madara?" Hashirama said quite gently.
But those who knew him… They shivered… Whether it was Madara or Tobirama.
Well, Madara chuckled a bit later, "You really haven't changed, Hashiramma."
Hashirama didn't reply for some time.
"Well, you know the rest by now," Madara said to Hashirama.
Hashirama let out a sigh, "You know Madara… It appears we both have failed in our dreams. Your dream was to create a peaceful world through oppression and pure power while mine was through being optimistic and as you say naive peaceful ways. I even gave away the Tailed Beasts for that cause…"
"But… Now I realise that it should have been better if I had spent more time cultivating the next generation. If I had focused more on that, Konoha wouldn't have betrayed Uzushio…" Hashirama looked quite sad as he mentioned that.
"I guess this is the end, huh?" Madara said before he slowly closed his eyes.
Hashirama continued to stare at his corpse before letting out a sigh, "Our age has passed… This is the age of the next generation. Our presence was never welcomed here…"
Madara closed his eyes as half of his blood flowed out of his body. Madara was slowly losing consciousness.
Meanwhile, Araki slowly opened his eyes, he looked around and found that this was somewhat strange…it felt as though his sight had improved…
He had no idea that he had Red Coloured Eyes with Rippled Pattern within them.
The Crimson Rinnegan!
I hope you like it.
