Capítulo 19: The South East - III

The wind hit her face hard and Jade lowered in more and into his skin. Her hair flew in different directions and she knew that by the time she would reach, even Malfrid might not recognize her.

The more he ran, the more confident she grew. Jade even raised her head and enjoyed the feeling of the cold wind hitting her harshly in the face. The feeling of freedom that she received from this was different than what she would feel from running herself. It was better, in fact, it felt carefree too.

But when they reached, it was a completely different story.

“Ugh,” Jade cried out. Her legs were jelly and they could not support her no matter what.

Malfrid chuckled, making her turn to him with a harsh glare.

“What?” she hissed at him, narrowing her eyes at the sight of him making fun of her.

“Nothing,” he chuckled again, “Do you want me to carry you?” he pointed at her legs, “You would not be able to stand for some time, Jade.”
