In High Lord Mayor Barry Green's office, Kai, Zach, and Larry were discussing the team's roster. "We need more people to fill the team," Larry said, stroking his chin thoughtfully.
Just then, Ace, Larry's nephew and Barry Green's son, walked in. "Father, Uncle Larry, I think I can help with that."
Barry Green looked up at his son with a hint of pride. "Ah, Ace! Perfect timing. We were just discussing recruiting more team members."
Ace smiled. "I know two people who might be interested. One lives in Iceland, and the other in Thunder Valley. I can send them a message, and I'm pretty sure they'll agree to join."
Kai's eyes lit up. "That's great! What are their skills?"
Ace grinned. "My friend in Iceland is a master swordsman who uses a rapier and mist to confuse his opponents, dealing massive damage. And my other friend, from Thunder Valley, comes from a family of warriors who live for battle. He wields a mighty hammer and harnesses lightning to defeat his foes."
Zach nodded, impressed. "That sounds like a great addition to our team. The mist user could provide a unique advantage in battle, and the lightning warrior would be a formidable asset."
Larry smiled, satisfied. "Excellent! Send them a message, Ace. Let's get our team assembled and ready for the Tournament of Power!"
Larry nodded, a hint of a smile on his face. "Good, now we have Kai, Derek, Ace, Scarlet, G, my two godsons, my nephew from Atlantis and ace two friends . That's a great start, but we still need two more people to complete the team."
He thought for a moment, then snapped his fingers. "I've got it! I can ask my old teammate if I can borrow their kid for the tournament and I'm sure they'd be happy to help out."
Kai's curiosity was piqued. "You were on a team, Larry? Can you tell us more about yourself?"
Larry's face hardened, his expression turning serious. "It's not that special, Kai. I'd rather not talk about it."
But Kai's eyes sparkled with interest, and Larry couldn't resist. "Fine," he said, his voice softening. "I'll tell you a little bit. Here is the extended chapter:
Larry nodded, a hint of a smile on his face. "Good, now we have Kai, Derek, Ace, Scarlet, G, my two godsons, my nephew from Atlantis, and Ace's two friends, the mist-wielding swordsman from Iceland and the lightning-wielding warrior from Thunder Valley. That's a great team."
Kai's curiosity was piqued. "Larry, you've been mysterious about your past. Can you tell us more about yourself?"
Larry's face hardened, his expression turning serious. "I'd rather not talk about it, Kai."
But Kai's eyes sparkled with interest, and Larry couldn't resist. "Fine," he said, his voice softening. "I'll tell you the story, but it's long, and it's not for the faint of heart. It's a story of triumph and tragedy, of victory and defeat. And it's a story that will have to be continued another time."
Ace leaned forward, his eyes eager. "Please, uncle, tell us. We want to know."
Larry took a deep breath, his eyes gazing into the distance. "Very well. It begins many years ago, when I was a young man, full of fire and ambition. I was part of an elite team, known for trouble maker ..."
And with that, Larry's story began, a tale of adventure, magic, and mystery that would leave them all breathless. But for now, it was just the beginning, and the continuation would have to wait until another time.
