Capítulo 183: Chapter 181: A strange Room.
Kakashi observed the room meticulously, noting the stark differences from Naruto's chaotic dwelling. The lack of personal touches made it clear that this was not the room of a child living a typical, carefree life. It seemed more like a sterile laboratory than a living space, a place where distractions were intentionally absent.
Kakashi couldn't help but be intrigued by the stack of papers he found in Homura's room. Picking up the tightly bound collection, he realized it was a detailed study on someone. The entries spanned over the years, with the earliest mention dating back five years ago and the most recent one just three months prior. The meticulous observations delved into various aspects: strength, height, intellect, skills, and even stamina.
As Kakashi skimmed through the detailed notes, he wondered who could be the subject of such meticulous scrutiny. The entries were exhaustive, showcasing a level of dedication and focus that suggested an individual who had been studied for years. Yet, there was an element that puzzled Kakashi – who could survive on a diet solely consisting of ramen noodles for almost five years?
Setting the stack of papers down, Kakashi observed smaller bundles nearby. It made him contemplate whether Homura was conducting similar studies on subjects that he presumed were Homura's classmates.
Hiruzen, puffing on his pipe, shared his thoughts. "It's hard to believe that this room belonged to a child. There's not even a single thing that can be used as a distraction or anything that could have emotional value."
Kakashi nodded in agreement. "It's similar to Uchiha Sasuke's room. No personal items, no photos. Just the bare necessities. It seems more like the living quarters, or penthouse of a seasoned shinobi than a genin with a social or healthy lifestyle."
Hiruzen continued, "From the information we've gathered, the only places this child frequents are weapon stores, repair shops, pharmacies, and food stores...He also sold puppets and stuffed animals a few years back, though it seems the owner of that store is the same one as the repair shop owner he does some work at."
"Repair shops, huh?" Kakashi remarked, as the pile of strange contraptions such as the seemingly Kunai throwing machine on display.
"Yes, he buys lots of spare parts, either to make weapons or some strange machines, and trains almost day and night. Lately, there have been reports that he's been bothering women older than him." the Hokage remarked as he put down a makeshift weapon.
He wasn't called "the professor" only due to his adherence to trying to learn every jutsu known in Konohagakure, nonetheless, Hiruzen had always a curious mind by nature; no matter the topic at hand.
"Seems he's cautious in all the wrong areas. Hard to believe he was once Guy's apprentice." Kakashi stated as he turned around towards the hokage.
The hokage was slightly surprised, by kakashi's words "Is that so?"
Kakashi nodded again. "Yes. I've encountered the child a few times in the past, by pure happenstance. He's a different kind of troublemaker. Never particularly cheerful but a bit of an airhead at times."
"An emotional airhead, true to his convictions," Hiruzen mused, drawing a parallel to someone in his memories. "Reminds me of someone."
Kakashi's mind briefly flickered with memories of his past comrades, a time when he was part of a team, surrounded by teammates who felt like family. He almost spoke but halted, deciding against delving into the intricacies of his memories.
"Is something wrong, Hokage-sama?" Kakashi inquired.
"Nothing you should be concerned with at the moment. Perhaps one day, it will reveal itself to you," Hiruzen replied cryptically, taking a drag from his pipe.
Realizing the inappropriateness of smoking in a child's room, the Hokage quickly corrected himself. "Right, we should move on to the next matter."
Kakashi simply hummed in agreement, his mind still lingering on the mysteries hidden within the room and the hokage's cryptic words.
