Three days later Francesca awoke to see another new face in her room. His face was angular and long like a wild horse. His nose was too large for his face, and his eyes were black pools of cold iron absent of frailty or weakness. When he smiled all ugliness disappeared into a childlike face of familiarity. With a big smile and a fresh bouquet of wild honeysuckle flowers, Jimmy Black Crow was standing in the doorway of Francesca's room attempting to enter. The nurse asked him to leave but Jimmy stood his ground until Francesca awoke.
Boy, that must have been some bad dream! I thought you were talking to the devil in your sleep.
Devil? replied Francesca.
"I brought you something to make you feel better!"
I'm sorry, I don't remember, she replied.
"Jimmy, dont you remember me? The Casino? My dad picked up the laundry bags? You were with him in the car? The accident?
"I'm sorry Jimmy. I don't remember anything about the accident.
Nothing?
"No, nothing."
