Capítulo 29: Chapter 29: I Love You & Exploitation

Roman had finally dealt with Emma, and he felt a sense of relief wash over him. He had contacted her and informed her about the software solution company, asking if she knew any skilled and competent software developers and programmers. She had agreed to look around and get back to him, and Roman was hopeful that she would come through.

With that task out of the way, Roman decided to call his lady, Sophia. He hadn't spoken to her in a while, and he missed her voice, her laughter, and her warmth. He dialed her number, and as the phone rang, he couldn't help but smile in anticipation.

Sophia answered, her voice sweet and melodious. "Hey, Roman! How are you?"

Roman's heart skipped a beat. "I'm good, Sophia. I've missed you. How about you?"

They chatted for a while, catching up on each other's lives. Roman told her about his latest business ventures, and Sophia shared stories about her bank company, including a new project she was working on to support local entrepreneurs.

As they talked, Roman couldn't help but admire Sophia's business acumen and her passion for helping others. He was proud to be her partner, both in life and in business.

After a while, Sophia asked, "So, Roman, what's new with your sister? How's Bianca doing?"

Roman's expression softened. "She's doing great, Sophia. She's still enjoying her downtime, but I'm thinking of encouraging her to pursue her interests more seriously. Maybe take some classes or workshops."

Sophia's voice was supportive. "That's a great idea, Roman! I'm sure she'll appreciate your guidance and support. And who knows, maybe we can even explore ways to support her financially through the bank."

Roman smiled, feeling grateful for Sophia's understanding and generosity. "Thanks, Sophia. I'll definitely keep that in mind."

As they continued their conversation, Roman's mind turned to his software solution company. He had been thinking about expanding, and he knew Sophia's expertise would be invaluable.

"Sophia, I need a favor," Roman said, his voice filled with determination. "I'm looking to expand my company and I need to find some skilled software developers and programmers. Do you know anyone through your banking connections or network who might be a good fit?"

Sophia's response was immediate. "Actually, Roman, I do know a few people who might be interested. Let me make some calls and see if they're available to meet with you."

Roman's eyes lit up with excitement. "That would be great, Sophia. I'm looking for expertise in artificial intelligence, data analytics, and cybersecurity. And also, I need a place to open an office. Do you know of any suitable locations or buildings that might be available for rent or purchase?"

Sophia's voice was thoughtful. "Hmm, let me think... There's a new business park that just opened up downtown, it has state-of-the-art facilities and great connectivity. I can introduce you to the owner, he's a client of mine, and see if we can work out a deal."

Roman's gratitude was palpable. "Thanks, Sophia. I really appreciate it. You're always so supportive and helpful."

Sophia's laughter filled the line. "Of course, Roman. That's what partners are for. I'll get back to you soon."

As they wrapped up their conversation, Sophia's voice was filled with warmth. "Love you, Roman," she said, her words hanging in the air for a moment before she quickly hung up the phone.

Roman's face broke into a smirk, his eyes widening in surprise. It was the first time Sophia had ever said those exact words to him, and he couldn't help but feel a thrill of pleasure. He had grown accustomed to her affectionate tone, but this was different. This was a declaration, a statement of feeling that left him feeling happy and wanted. The smirk on his face was a mix of surprise and delight, his mind replaying the words over and over.

..

He decided to check on MedTech to see if he could gather more information about them before attempting to contact them. He thought to himself, "Before I reach out, I want to understand their situation better." With that, he decided to research MedTech and gather as much information as possible.

After taking an hour to read up on the situation, he discovered that MedTech, a medical device manufacturer, was facing a critical situation. Their new product, a cutting-edge portable defibrillator, was experiencing software glitches that caused delays in emergency situations. The device's software was supposed to quickly analyze heart rhythms and provide life-saving shocks, but instead, it was malfunctioning, putting patients' lives at risk.

MedTech's engineers were desperate for a software solution to fix the issue, but their in-house team was struggling to identify the problem. They had tried multiple patches and updates, but the glitches persisted. The company was facing mounting pressure from regulatory agencies, healthcare professionals, and patients' families, who were demanding a reliable solution.

With each passing day, the situation grew more dire. MedTech's reputation was at stake, and the company risked losing millions of dollars in revenue and potential legal liabilities. The engineers were working around the clock, but they needed expert help to resolve the issue. What's more, it seemed that they had tried hiring other software solution companies, but they seemed to be avoiding helping, likely due to the complexity and liability associated with the issue.

In this desperate situation, MedTech was offering a substantial sum of money, ranging from $100,000 to $300,000, to anyone who could provide a solution. Roman realized that he could potentially negotiate a larger sum, given the company's desperation and the critical nature of the issue. The situation was complex, but the potential reward was significant, and Roman was determined to explore this opportunity further.

Roman wanted to solo this one since he didn't have workers yet. It was risky, but with his exceptional skills, he was confident he could pull it off. He took a moment to strategize, thinking to himself, "What other leverage can I use against MedTech?"

He decided to call them and 'negotiate', but in reality, he wanted to exploit their desperation. After all, Roman was no white knight; he didn't care if MedTech was losing millions. He was a mercenary, and if he succeeded in fixing the issue, he would earn a substantial amount of money.

He thought to himself, "If this were a normal request, it wouldn't even reach the price of $50,000. But since it's putting lives in danger, and they're probably on the verge of bankruptcy, they're willing to pay a premium to get it fixed." Roman was aware that MedTech was in a precarious situation, and he intended to use that to his advantage.

He would wait for the perfect moment to make the call, when the pressure was at its peak and they were most desperate. Roman was a master of manipulation, and he knew exactly how to play the game. He would make MedTech believe he was their only hope, their savior, and they would be willing to pay any price to get the problem solved.

He would dangle the solution in front of them, making them think he was the only one who could save them from the brink of disaster. With a sly smile, Roman thought to himself, "I'll make them sweat, make them beg, and then I'll name my price. And they'll pay it, gladly, because they have no other choice."

He was a predator, and MedTech was his prey. He would strike when the time was right, and he would walk away with a hefty sum of money, leaving MedTech to pick up the pieces. But for now, Roman would wait, biding his time, letting the tension build.

He would make the call when the moment was right, and he would unleash his negotiation skills, exploiting MedTech's desperation to the fullest.

Roman decided to send a vague email, responding to MedTech's request for help. He wanted to keep them guessing, and didn't want to reveal too much about his intentions or capabilities. He crafted a brief message, intentionally leaving out any details about his plan or timeline.

"Dear MedTech,

We've received your request for assistance with your software issue. We understand the urgency of the situation and the potential consequences. We're willing to help, but we need more information about the problem before we proceed.

Please provide us with additional details about the software glitches and the steps you've taken so far to try and resolve the issue.

We'll be in touch soon.

Best regards,

Vitali Tech-Soft Solutions"

Roman sent the email and waited patiently for MedTech's response. He knew they would be eager to share more information, hoping to convince him to take on the job. He was playing a careful game, and he didn't want to reveal his hand just yet. The waiting game had begun, and Roman was ready to see how desperate MedTech really was.
