"You can go now, carry your leader." Naruto said to the thugs
"Yes, yes..." The thugs replied as they carried their leader and disappeared from Naruto's sight
"You've done it now." A citizen said to Naruto
"Done what?" he asked
"You've made an enemy out of Gatou and his gang. He will surely come after you now."
Naruto chuckled, "That's what I want. I'm strong. More than you can imagine."
"You don't understand, they have hundreds of people." The citizen shook his head and explained why Naruto did a bad thing.
Naruto smiled to the ignorant citizen that Naruto already had how people they have. "Relax… Everything will be okay with me around."
The citizen just sighed as he believed that Naruto was just an arrogant young man who doesn't know the world, he thought of what would happen to Naruto
"It'll be fine! After all, Niichan is strong!"
"That's right! That's right!"
The kids looked at Naruto like a role model which Naruto chuckled and smiled gently towards the kids "That's right. Even if a thousand people come, Niichan will kill them all."
"That's amazing! You're so strong, Niichan!"
"Of course, Niichan is strong." Naruto smiled in reply
A few hours later…
"Byeee! Niichan! I'll see you tomorrow!"
Naruto smiled gently as he waved his hands in goodbye
Naruto went back to Tazuna's house "I'm back." He announced to see Kakashi, Sasuke, Sakura, Tazuna, Tsunami, and Inari seating in the table eating food looking at him
Kakashi replied while he ate "Yo, Naruto. How did the scouting go?"
Naruto replied as took off his shoes "Nothing interesting. Finished scouting hours ago. The place can be easily infiltrated in a few areas, the number of troops is about 300 with the strength of an ordinary adult just having good weapons none that are really a master. Overall they are not our opponent. The only opponent is Zabuza and that masked ninja."
Sasuke and Sakura looked at Naruto in shock as he explained the situation
Kakashi looked at Naruto in surprise but not really and thought 'he did all that and finished a few hours ago?' Kakashi asked "How'd you do it?"
"Shadow clones."
"I see…" Kakashi nodded in understanding as even he could do it in a few minutes to an hour with shadow clones.
"What did you do after that? You said you finished scouting hours ago."
"I went to see the citizens and the situation was worse than I thought, I thought Tazuna-san was undermining the situation in the country. Looks like I was wrong." Naruto explained as he went to sit on a chair on the table.
Tazuna then sighed remembering the state of the country.
Tsunami was about to stand up but Naruto said "I don't need food, I ate outside."
"You ate outside? But there's a shortage of food." Tsunami replied in surprise
"I brought food and fed the whole country as I did." Naruto nonchalantly replied, applying the [Permission] seal in his right hand " Inari, stretch out your hand.
"Why should I do that?" Inari replied with hostility.
Inari stood up in anger "Why do you guys bother so much! Even if you're so courageous, you're still no match for Gatou's men! You already know that they have a lot of people! What do you mean they are no match for you! It's like the weak facing the strong if you fight against Gatou's men! You will end up dead like my father!"
Naruto chuckled
"What are you laughing for! You're always clowning around!" Inari shouted in tears
Naruto headpatted Inari and said "You care about the people around you. That's good, but you shouldn't mistake cowardness for a way to live. You'll live yes, but you'll live as if you're dead. A man like you should be like your father. Willing to die for the precious people in his life. Just like how my father and mother sacrificed their life for me just after I was born…"
Inari looked at Naruto dumbfoundedly hearing that his parents sacrificed their life for him even before he was born, not knowing what to say he tried to say something "I-I…"
Tsunami cried looking at Naruto for how difficult his childhood must be without his parents
Tazuna looked at Naruto with a hard to explain face hearing what happened to his parents.
Naruto chuckled and rustled Inari's hair more. "Don't worry, I know you didn't mean anything bad, you're just frustrated by what's happening in your country. I get it. It's okay to cry. It can help you become stronger so you won't cry next time but take action next time it happens. I don't agree on leaving the regrets from the past in the past, you should take it with you as you grow, regret the past so you don't make the same mistake twice."
Inari, not knowing what to say, looked at Naruto straight into the eyes and nodded.
Naruto smiled "Don't worry, I didn't mean anything bad earlier. Your dad was a hero, you shouldn't get depressed because your dad died. You are correct, he was indeed stronger than me. Fighting despite not having strength, I would have ran away if I was faced with strength that is more than my own. I'm sorry about earlier."
Inari cried again remembering his father so he rubbed his eyes that were shedding tears "Hik… hik… It's good that you know…"
Naruto crouched down, chuckled then said "Don't cry, your father was a courageous man. You have to be like your father instead of being sissy."
Naruto then said "Now, stretch out your arms…"
Inari stopped crying and holding the tears inside his eyes looking at Naruto stretching out one of his hands
"Good boy…" Naruto gently smiled as he applied the seal on his wrist. "It's done. Good job."
Inari nodded as he held the tears in his eyes much more easily
"Become stronger, Inari. Remember your father's words."
Inari replied "I-I got it… N-Naruto-niichan!"
"Naruto-niichan?" Naruto laughed at being called that by Inari
Inari in embarrassment shouted in annoyance "What's wrong with that!"
"It's nothing. I've always wanted a younger brother." Naruto rustled his hair more and said with a smile "Alright! Niichan will show a hero that possesses strength. Believe it."
Inari smiled with tears in his eyes as he nodded happily
Tsunami and Tazuna cried at this sight "Inari is finally healing from the past…"
Inari looked at them and said in embarrassment "Stop that! You're embarrassing me!"
Kakashi, Sakura, and Naruto laughed at this sight while Sasuke simply chuckled thinking 'These kinds of scenes are not that bad…'
…
"Let's go, Inari. It's time to sleep" Tsunami said towards Inari who was sitting beside Naruto talking about stories
"Eh… It's not even that night yet." Inari complained
Naruto headpatted Inari and replied "We can talk again tomorrow."
Inari smiled brightly and replied "I'll listen to you, Naruto-niichan!"
Tsunami pouted "You got a big brother, now you only listen to him and not me?"
Inari replied "That's different, I've had you since I was born, I just got a big brother today."
Tsunami scolded me pretending to be angry "How dare you, young man…"
Tazuna and team 7 just laughed at them bickering.
Tsunami and Inari stopped bickering and said their goodnights to them.
Tazuna sipped on his tea and said "But really… Inari warmed up to you real fast."
Naruto replied nonchalantly "You just tell kids what they want to hear and they'll come running to you in a bit."
Tazuna, Sasuke and Kakashi's eyes twitched at Naruto's comment
Sakura put on a disgusted face "You're the worst."
"What? It's the truth, I meant what I said but I'm telling you the secrets to a person's heart." Naruto complained
"You're right but… You're still the worst." Sakura pouted, crossing her arms.
"..." Naruto sighed and asked "How did your training go?"
"It went great I only fell to the water in the beginning but maintaining it was a bit difficult but Sasuke-kun fell a lot." Sakura happily shared
Naruto then teased "Heh… Sasuke-kun fell a lot eh?"
Sasuke snorted in reply
"Well, good to know your training is going well. Any questions about Fuinjutsu?"
Sakura shakes her head "Not yet… I haven't read much about it for now."
"I see… Just ask me anything if you have questions."
Sakura nodded in agreement
Naruto then asked Kakashi "How's the seal holding up? Sensei?"
Kakashi replied "It's pretty good, the sharingan is not sucking up a ridiculously large amount of chakra anymore when I close my eyes."
"I see… That's good then."
Kakashi clapped his hands "Alright! All of you to bed now, rest up so we can protect Tazuna-san from bad guys tomorrow!"
They all nodded and went on their way to bed.
