I sat at my desk, thumbing through the set of folders that Brian had just handed me. Brian sat on the other side of the desk from me, skimming through his own set of folders as well.

They were the folders compiling all the information that we had on all of the packs, including their Alphas, Betas, main contribution to the territory, etc. We had put these folders together when we were heading out to collect the trainees, and they were coming in handy again now.

As soon as Clare had told me about her vision concerning war, my Alpha warrior brain kicked into gear, and I couldn't rest until I was sure that Avondale was safe, my people were safe…and above all, that Clare was safe.

I kept that focus now, ignoring the fact that Clare was still laying in my bed merely in the next room over.
