"No, please don't?" Ema screamed and tried to kick, but could not move a limb. She fought with the belt of the hovering stretcher, struggling to wrestle her way into freedom. But all her efforts were proving abortive at the moment. If they had not drugged her, she was sure she could have felt the edge of the stiff belt, burring itself into her skin.
