Those words had her stumbling, a purr whispering deep within her chest. It was as if she were a marionette dancing on the strings of a strange pull that tugged her towards him, towards the compelling sweep of his Alpha. His body dusted in angels and stars, rendered from the desperation of her want, from the burn of need that began between her legs.
There might be panic, but there was a cloud over her eyes now, a haze that did not have her thinking straight. And she could almost taste him on the tip of her tongue, muffled in mint but rich and creamy. It would be easy, too easy to allow him to relieve her suffering.
"You don't give up, do you?" she breathed, glare deepening, rage hiding over fear, denial surging. She couldn't let him continue. Rue had to get away while she still could, where the space wasn't quite as tight, and he didn't have her just as cornered. "I'm mad at you, at your lies, at your lack of goddamn honesty—"
"But that doesn't matter now, does it?" Valentino exhaled hotly, voice growing higher, a little shrill. "You've always been a liar too." His brow raised; lips stretched into a smile. "But I suppose I understand. In the dream, I saw something—"
"Just a dream, fantasies concocted from a mind still thinking," she laughed, thumb between teeth and nibbling. She pushed off the wall then, determined to go back to class so he'd shut up. "So what?"
"No, Rue," his eyes caught hers now gaze thick with more. "I saw what your soul wanted me to see, you in all your naked glory. You as you are," he breathed out, eyes hot. And her body stilled, waiting, panic transforming into utter terror. The need to retch had her stumbling. "Are you an Ome—"
The words didn't spill from his lips for it did not take her a second to clamp her fingers around his throat hard and lift him from the ground. It was as if strength pulsed through her veins with his accusations. Her body buzzing with light as he dangled, legs swinging, choking around her grasp, battling her grip.
Valentino was always weaker than she was, she knew it the moment he tried to toe at her fake dick. Her strength over him was the only reason why she'd allowed his touch, allowed his prancing. She slammed him against the wall, body pressed to his and Valentino gasped, his wind-like tentacles hissing in her hair, phantom limbs forming a ghostly blue. But the shards of it didn't matter to her now. For her face was close to his whispering warning, a snarl rippling free.
"Fuck you," she hissed. "What do I look like to you, huh? What do I fucking look like to you? Answer me, motherfucker."
"M-my Alpha." He choked, voice breaking through her grasp, he struggled but she held him strangled and scratching. His eyes growing wet, body pressed against hers. "B-but…If you are, if you are," his mouth seemed dry, eyes pressed to hers as if bewitched by her gaze, body shuddering. "If you are an—"
"Don't fucking say it," she hissed, fingers clenching tighter, breaking off air.
"I thought about it…All night, and I-I think. I'd keep you as mine," he gasped as she held him up, pressed tighter against the wall, bits crumbling. "I'd make it so that you can be by my side as mine. I don't mind it. I don't mind it at all. I know I seemed to hate it, I know I've been telling you how much I hate them, but it's only because I didn't know—"
"What did you fucking see," she hissed. "Say it loud and clear."
"Y-your c-cunt," he whimpered, shivering against her as if aroused, as if pleasurably tortured, as if he were tasting her in the air. Her blood ran cold, the pulse of it thundering in her ears. "Your clit, and the petals of it like roses all sticky. So sweet. I've never," he whispered, eyes wide, wet and round. "I've never tasted a woman, b-but I want to. I want to so badly. I want to drink you all up and suck your clit until you cum. It didn't matter to me if you don't have a cock, I still, I still love you so much. Why did you hide this from me—"
"You're hallucinating," she declared hotly, gritting teeth, grinding molars. "You want me to be a woman." He couldn't continue then gasping in her grasp and she sneered. "If you utter one more fucking word about this to anyone," she hissed, dropping him before he could say another word. "You're fucking dead to me."
He fell on his knees spluttering, wheezing hard, catching his breath with thick inhales. But his eyes were dilated voids of black when he looked up at her, pupils consuming blue. And between his thighs was a bulge so swollen it tented in his pants.
He enjoyed her touch.
"You don't have to deny it, I know I didn't make it easy for you. But it was because I didn't know," he said as she stepped away, but his fingers caught at her jeans, grasping at the hems. "I didn't know until I saw you in the dream. And I thought," he began to explain weakly, even he remains of his tentacles were wrapped around her leg, pulling her close. "I thought of what I'd do. I thought of everything all night. I'd keep you with me, I'll protect you. You don't have to do this, to pretend, to work, to go to school, to put yourself in danger."
"I enjoy school," she snapped. God, this was getting out of hand. "For fuck's sake, Valentino stop dreaming."
"I'd take care of your Heat; you'll get a nest in the best home." His eyes sparkled. "Not the dormitory. Not by Halcyon's bed where he'd violate you whenever he wants to. I'd get you a space so safe you'd never have to see another Alpha. You'd have everything and me. Money? Safety? You will always be my partner, n-never a tool, not like the other girls." He promised and his words sizzled, had her Omega purring. "You will want for nothing, and I'll give you everything. I-I'll knot you so good you won't need any other cock only mine—"
"You're dreaming Valentino," she snapped at him, breath escaping her in pants. She couldn't. God, she couldn't. Not Valentino, the one who believed her to be his soulmate. The one who'd keep her close and never let go. And she could sense it, could see his delusions twisting towards the sky. "It was a fucking dream; and you have a hyperactive imagination. Grow the fuck up!"
"I'll marry you," he promised, nodding viciously on the ground, kneeling. "You said you wanted your first to be after marriage. I'll marry you properly and give you all the children you want. I won't let them hurt you when they know, I'll keep you safe in my room, and no one else will touch you. You don't have to be with them, you won't even see them."
His eyes were wide now, insanity revealing itself in his smile, so wide, so possessive. The marks of an Alpha that would only chain her to his bed and keep her as a sex slave. Mama was right, soulmates were crazy, and she shouldn't have allowed this to go any further, shouldn't have given Valentino the chance to speak.
"I won't let them touch you, see you, or smell you. They'll exist of course, as my mates. But I'll put you first, I'll be by your side always. You over Altair and Halcyon and—"
"You're overthinking this," Rue laughed, laughed like he was insane. "Creating lies from nothing, do you want me ruined in this school? Do you want to spread a fucking rumour about what I am? Get me killed by some sick bastard? Investigated? I'm an Alpha and I don't want to play your sick, kidnapped basement Omega kink."
"N-never!" The alarm rippled in his eyes. "It will be the biggest room. The biggest home. It will have everything. It will be safe. I only want the best for you Rue. I only want you to be happy."
Rue snarled. "It was just a fucking dream! You're fucking dreaming!"
"No Rue, you're Omega," Valentino stated softly, knowingly, his voice dropped to a quiet hum. "And you're going to be mine."
