It was already near evening by the time I had finished.
I ended earlier since half of the letters that where placed near my desk was courtship letters, which I had no intention of replying to.
Although one was a letter from the royal family which I sadly had to look over. It was the princess' coming of age ceremony, and the emperor asked me to bless her.
Usually, I want nothing to with the royals, but sadly, even though it was a request, it was a demand when coming from the emperor.
After all, he loved his daughter more than anything.
It wouldn't hurt to take a quick nap. I had yawned before resting my head in my arms, eyes soon dropping down, carrying me into a deep slumber.
"Arya, join me in the rebellion. Be free, alongside me. Do you not love me?"
" I will not betray God. I—"
"Then die."
"If I cannot have you, then no one will."
I had awoken gasping for breaths.
"was that.." I followed off my sentence, faltering. No, it's impossible. I sighed.
"My sweet wife, where you having a nightmare?"
I squeaked practically falling of my seat. I turned behind me, seeing Achlys sitting on the balcony ledge.
"You where so beautiful and vulnerable sleeping like that.. but you where in distress. What was it about?"
I didn't bother answering.
I made myself presentable for prayer. "I will be gone for another 3 hours." I then had left without fail, mind still plagued by my dream.
I held my cross tightly.
"what does this mean, Lord? please open my eyes." I had silently prayed.
I had come early, opening the large doors, and heading to the statue of the lord. I had did the sign of the faith before begging.
"Then die. If I can't have you no one will."
blood had gushed out my mouth, a hand piercing through my body. I had looked up at his pained expression.
"I'm sorry, Arya." My vision had faded black.
I opened my eyes. Warm liquid was falling down my cheeks. Tears.
It was that same vision. Who was talking? Why did I feel their pain?. There where still some praying in the sanctuary.
I admired the large sculpture.
"Lord, is this what I think it is?"
I felt a throbbing pain in my abdomen. I had glanced down, seeing my clothes stained in pure blood.
I had fallen unconscious once more, falling on the tiled floor, the faint sound of someone calling out my name was heard before I had fallen, many saints running towards me.
"—ya..."
"—rya.. c— ear— e?" a faint sound of someone was calling my name. My vision blurred before turning more clearer.
A doctor. I moaned at the pain near my stomach, which was wrapped in bandages.
"Arya? can you hear me?" The mans modulated voice called out to me. I replied with a whine, with my eyes furrowed.
"You are going to be alright..Just drink this medicine, and the pain will go away" He handed me me a cup filled of pink liquid I weakly took it, sipping down the bitter liquid coughing in the process
"it is also a sleeping medicine..when you wake up in the morning the pain will be all gone, however, make sure not to strain yourself or the wound will reopen." I groaned in response.
For the 3rd time today I had went into a deep slumber.
I had awoken once more, so a warm feeling like a mothers touch.
Someone was caressing my hair lovingly. I had strained my head to the side to see who it was.
There was Achlys brushing his long fingers in my hair, his face held no expression on it. I strained myself not to frown.
He calmly smiled as he saw me look at him.
"Wife, your awake. Did you have a good rest?" His hands glided down to my cheek.
I turned the other way avoiding him. He drew his hand backwards.
It was past midnight. I stared up at the full moon, thoughts going to my vision. I immediately shook away the thought.
"are you troubled, Wife?" Achlys asked, his hands interweaving themselves in my strands of hair once more.
"..you can say that." I finally replied back
"about what?"
"..." I kept silent for a long while, almost not replying back.
"you." I honestly said.
