Capítulo 2: Prologue: The Legend of Old Speaks!

••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

Please keep in mind that THE ROYAL JEROSIAN is describing what happened to his village EONS after it happened. IN OTHER WORDS. He understands what happened now, but not at the time the incident occurred. Also, time has healed the wound greatly.

There is a man shrouded in mystery. He has a place in a lot of myths and legends. Some say that He is a god. Others that He is the very epitome of evil depending on where you go, but most are distorted by time and the beliefs of those who made the tales. Every tale about Him never agrees about what He looked like, or what His real name was. Each tale despite their differences, have one thing in common: a Divine Being Fallen from Grace. But I know the truth, because I am He and this is my story.

I was born in a peaceful and quiet village -the name which I no longer remember - Surrounded by a forest and a ring of steep treacherous mountains that isolated us from the rest of the world. Me and the other village children were taught that the mountains were impassable. But they were wrong. Very wrong. For on one fateful day my world was shattered by a bloodthirsty horde of savage men. They came pouring into the valley through a hidden passage their scouts had found. My village never stood a chance.

— I should probably clarify some things here. The concept of 'clothes' 'violence' 'r*pe' 'modesty' and 'privacy' never existed in my village, until the invasion —

I was a young lad of about four summers old; my Father was out hunting for food and I was climbing a tree outside my village when It happened. And I saw it all. I heard it all. From my vantage point I watched the brutish half naked men slaughter my friends, my family and the people I knew. I could see Alice (she was ten summers older than me and had a head of shiny black hair. She used to chase me away from the fresh pastries on her porch with a branch whenever she caught me trying to snatch one). One of the brutes suddenly grabbed her and with one hand holding the screaming and kicking Alice, the other fiddled with something at his waist before his lower garment fell away revealing his throbbing and erect Pen*s. It was even bigger than my dads.

The Brute then proceeded to, well, er, ... dammit. *takes a deep breath and lets it out slowly* I am sorry my poor extra sensitive listeners/readers for I shall just be blunt: He raised her in the air with one arm and then in one smooth and well practiced motion slammed her down onto his pen*s. Brutally r*ping the poor girl.

Now, this is but one of the many scenes that entered my poor small brain of that yesteryear for they slaughtered the men and babies, r*ped the women, bound the children, grabbed anything that was valuable (even some things we considered to be worthless), and finally burned the village to the ground. My mother, my brother who was three summers older than me, my baby sister who was recently born, my friends ... well, everyone from the village except me and my father were either killed, r*ped or captured.

However, a giant hairy Brute that towered over the rest bellowed something in a language I did not understand. Following such, the brutes ceased their pillaging and ransacking. They then reluctantly killed their newly acquired slaves. When I saw a huge brute r*pe my mother one last time before killing her, I cried. I didn't even know why I was crying.

At some point without me knowing, my Father appeared beside me. He hugged me and held me tight while trembling and choking back sobs. At the same time he patted my back, in an effort to comfort me. When I recovered, I looked at him with questions in my eyes, waiting for him to speak. But he didn't. He simply sat there, or was it stood? Anyways. His eyes were full of a emotion that would take me several years(or was it eons?) to understand. It is was grief, anger, self blame and hate. All rolled into one.

After awhile he let out a long sigh and seemed to age rapidly. His hair turned from the previous black to a pale gray in a matter of seconds. Even then, I still didn't understand the majority of what I was seeing. It was like playing a movie to a bunch of blind people. But my Father did.

Finally after what seemed like an hour he spoke, "We need to go now before they find us. Get on my back, we can move faster this way" I nodded woodenly and climbed onto his back.

Once he was sure I was holding on tight, he began climbing down the tree. Not long after we made it to the ground did he begin to run. And he ran fast. After awhile of running we arrived at a hollowed out tree trunk. This became our new home for several days. On the third day my father said to me, "Jeros, remember that cave in the forest, the one the village elders were always telling you to stay away from?" I nodded and when he saw me nod he spoke once more. "You need to go there now."

"Why dwaddy?" I asked. "Will mommy be thwere? isn't it the forbwidden area?"

"Because…" he faltered and revealed a bitter smile on his tired face. "...because it is the 'Forbidden area' that you must go there. The… people from before, they are almost here." Upon mention of the Brutes, I went pale and started trembling as I remembered the rolling heads, the blood, the shiny bloody object(crude sword) and all the blood.

With a heavy sigh, my father shook me until I snapped out of it. "Hurry!" He said, only this time there was a hint of panic and helplessness in his voice. I reluctantly obeyed him. But when I was halfway there I heard Them, the Brutes. It was at this moment, that I realized that nothing could stop them.

But even then, I couldn't resist going back. When I got close I found a tall tree and climbed it. Once at the top I spotted my father. He was encircled by the Brutes. The Giant Brute who was also in the encirclement, which greatly resembles a crowds of onlookers who want to see a fight, was staring him down.

Suddenly my father drew a sword out of the ground… and proceeded to fight the Big guy who seemed to be the Boss. Of course, at the time all I knew was that it was shiny. My father who had never once raised his voice, bellowed so loud that it shook the forest. "Dammit son, Run!" Immediately after he was.. submerged? Drowned? In the horde and very quickly lost his life. But that bellow was enough to shock me into action and run towards the cave.

I swore in that bloody day that I would never be helpless again. When I reached the cave, I was so exhausted that I found a relatively flat rock and fell asleep.

When I woke up the next day, I couldn't see but I could feel the rough chitin that I was laying on or against. A horrify thought slowly started to creep up on me. I was captured by a creature of the cave. I screamed as I tried to get free only to realize I couldn't move. Some kind of substance was keeping me bound. After a while of fruitless struggle the surroundings started to get brighter. Now I was able to vaguely see shapes. I was in a tunnel. Some timr later the creature suddenly threw me into a pool of glowing liquid.

I tried holding my breath at first, but I couldn't hold it forever. I eventually had to breathe and opened my mouth and gagged as the liquid flooded into my body. Burning pain began almost right away escalating to the point where it seemed like I was swimming in lava. Then the light was gone and everything went black.
