Whiro did not waste time.
He glanced over at the ground and chanted
"Home"
He appears to the entrance of tenebris.
First thing he did is expanded the barrier.
The barrier is not an imaginary bubble, instead it was a certain territory with layers of magic that wraps around the trees, ground, hills and water.
Anything that passes by needs to meet certain requirements.
For example.
If a person enters the area and this person is driven by greed immediately after will be led directly to his house only to be tested by Whiro's golems.
If a person is driven by hopelessness and despair, wanting to die, they will confront the chimeras instead.
If the category is non human they will be tested by Whiro instead but not physically but in their dream state.
Whiro did this so he doesn't indiscriminately kill anything that passes the barrier.
Whiro is in the midst of evolving into something completely different than human.
His gaze is in the distance. While standing right next to a tree.
"I can only do what I can"
While reminiscing about his life.
Kira suggested to build his mini empire so that Whiro doesn't struggle by himself but Whiro is not grown mentally to even think about making a kingdom.
What Whiro did instead is compared the benefits of having a kingdom versus a group of friends that can cover his back anytime.
"They have about the same level of risks and benefits."
"Kingdom can get pretty corrupted base on history books that i read a while back.
"friends can also bring me to ruin, one wrong move from anyone can make it fall apart"
Whiro just want something simple instead.
A group of individuals with equal decision making or making contracts.
Kira falls on the category of the individuals because to Whiro her thought process doesn't affect him in the slightest. At the same time she also falls on the contract category due to her conditions on being with Whiro.
So he decided to mix that up so he can see if anything goes wrong.
"Best way to do this is to pick the strongest non-human and have them represent their species. "
Day 1
Nothing unexpected was found.
Day 2
A few goblins are passing by to take shelter in tenebris but due to the food chain they won't last in the forest. Whiro had them camp out in front of the territory.
Behind the territory are the chimeras and they are way stronger than the goblins.
Day 3
Nothing happened.
Day 4
Whiro is training all day while Kira is scouting.
Day 5
He's bored beyond normal that Whiro decided to upgrade his golems.
Day 6
Whiro is still bored and been trying to write his own books. (Mostly about, his take on power)
Days passed by with nothing to do Whiro decided to wonder if the goblins are capable of evolving.
He gathered them and hosted a tournament and whoever wins it will be selected for the position.
"The rules are simple, the tournament is going to be tag and the last goblin to stay will be the winner"
The goblins looked at each other confused however they all participated including the females.
The game started and Whiro chose 5 goblins to be the chasers and the rest will the runners. If they get touched skin to skin clothes not included they cannot move and Whiro will teleport them outside the area.
The game went on and out of the 5 goblins there was 3 exceptional goblins that has good maneuvers. 1 of them had the highest tagged count of 32 then the other two high performers have 15 and 14 but there was still a huge amount of goblins that are running.
While Kira was watching the game she noticed how much fun the goblins are having while playing.
After 5 hours there were 12 left and out of the five chasers 4 of them stood out and the other one is exhausted.
2 more hours passed by and it was basically a 4v4. They would run, climb and slide across and the atmosphere is getting more hyped.
Both sides are taking it more serious.
The top chaser is fast and very agile, he moves like an acrobat and uses the terrain to hide and or corner goblins.
The other two have high stamina and they are very consistent and are doing a nonstop chase.
The other one who caught up to their numbers is very intelligent and is also talented in using magic.
The ones that are being chased are also very talented they all have good stamina and excels in combat tactics. They used everything to stop chasers from physically touching them.
They would cut down trees or use their clothes as decoy. The four of them also used teamwork by throwing rocks as signal that they're being chased or that someone is coming.
The game was halted by Whiro and announced the winners.
After the game Whiro pulled out food and fed the goblins to their fill.
Whiro sat down beside the winners and asked them if they could come to Whiro's place to talk about their skill and talents.
They agreed and Whiro teleported them after they finished eating.
Whiro knows that they don't have names so Whiro asked for their permission if he could give them one.
They all agreed, because they knew that names builds status.
He started from the ones being chased
A goblin that looks very mean. "Your name will be Jin"
He nodded and accepted it.
Next to him is a normal looking goblin. "Your name will be Dan"
Next to him is the most talented on the ones being chased.
" your name will jack "
The last one is super small and looks fairly young base on the skin.
Their age will show on how thick and rough their skin are.
" I'll name you Mathias "
They were grateful and happy.
He then moved on with the chaser.
He started with the intelligent goblin
"Your name will be Goro"
Next was the two with almost even score, apparently they were siblings. So Whiro decided to give them a name that would resonate with each other.
"Entor and Dhavil"
And lastly the number 1 goblin on the game.
Whiro named him "Goff"
Whiro asked them "what is the ideal living condition for the goblins?"
Their answers were all different but Whiro specifically chose Mathias and Goro's answer so he asked the two to come back tomorrow.
