Capítulo 22: Chapter 22: Wild White Wolf

Kinsley’s POV

I’m not a good fighter, and I would never claim to be, but I’m scrappy enough to handle Ace. He’s by himself, probably thinking this would be a simple deal with that blonde bitch Rebecca.

I prowl in the opening of the cave, knowing I can’t outrun a rogue. That’s what he’s best at. If I can at least get a few good bites into him, then maybe I can manage to slow him down. His wolf is larger than mine and he is smugly built-in strength.

He stretches upward, accentuating his advantages of height and muscle. I rely on nothing but pure surprise to use for my benefit. He doesn’t expect a fight, but he’s going to get one.

I snap forward, my teeth clamping hard on his front leg. His first reaction is to bite my neck, but he can’t wound me too much. He still needs me. Instead, he swipes his paw from my jaw and throws it outward against my snout, only creating a tiny set of scratches against my cheek.
