Capítulo 17: Rias vs Riser
A brutal battle ensued between Riser and his two pawns, Marion and Burent, with Rias who was facing them alone.
Marion and Burent were two young girls with shoulder-length light brown hair and dressed in a sleeveless French maid uniform with a white lace design.
Marion's maid uniform was buttoned covering her chest area while Burent's uniform showed her cleavage.
~Boom ~Boom ~Boom
Power of Destruction and Phoneix Fire clashed as Riser attacked from the air while Rias was present on the ground.
Riser was flying with the help of fiery wings.
Riser's pawns were fighting Rias on the ground, slowing her down and making her a good target for their master's attack.
The forest arena was burning as trees quickly caught fire from Riser's attack.
"Tch... This is taking forever!"
Rias was annoyed. Riser's pawns were not allowing her to properly attack him. Few attacks that hit him were healed by his phoenix powers before she land more damage on him.
Rias made a demonic barrier on her left hand to defend from Riser's attack while using her right hand to shoot destructive beams at Marion.
~Boom ~Blast
"Take this!"
"Argh..."
It worked.
As Rias had focused on attacking Riser since the start of the match, the pawn didn't see the attack coming and she got caught off guard.
Marion laid on the ground while Burent leaped backward, taking a defensive stance. Even Riser was surprised.
"Marion has been eliminated!"
~Boom ~Boom
Grayfia announced and the battle began once again.
"DIE!"
Riser's attack power had been intensified from his rage. He was already angry about losing almost all of his peerage, now lost one more pawn and Rias was running, easily avoiding his attacks.
This continued for a long time. Rias and Riser were both getting impatient. Rias knew that she can't play a battle of attrition with someone who had powers of phoenix while Riser wanted to end it as soon as possible.
Riser's eyes met with his pawn, Burent and he signaled something to her. He reduced the powers of his attack while she sneakily got close to Rias.
"What?"
Rias screamed in shock as Burent had jumped on her back and locked her hands with hers.
"Hahahaha..."
Riser laughed while flying in the air.
"Is he planning to sacrifice her?"
Rias looked at him with angry eyes. He created a humongous ball of fire from his power and shot it towards her.
Rias didn't get any time to react as she wasn't able to remove the pawn from her.
~Boom
The fireball crashed at them, causing a giant explosion as Riser looked in their direction with a smirk.
~Cough ~Cough
His smirk disappeared as he saw a wounded Rias standing on her feet while Burent, her body, and clothes had been burnt. She was almost dead.
"Burent has been eliminated!"
Grayfia announce.
"Can't you just die already!"
Riser created another ball of fire. He was sure with the wounds she had acquired, she wouldn't be able to defend herself from it.
"You sicken me!"
Rias said with a disgusted look as he almost killed his pawn for winning. Two devil wings appeared on her back as she took a flight, coming to the level of her opponent.
She extended her arms and began assembling a large amount of power of destruction between her hands.
It took the form of a large sphere with a crimson and dark aura radiating from it, similar to when she was practicing with Jay.
But this type the sphere was larger and the aura more intense.
"Die you bitch!"
Riser screamed and threw the fireball at her.
"Demonic Star of Extinction!"
Rias signaled and the large demonic sphere slowly proceeded towards Riser.
~Bam
The sphere crashed with a larger fireball of Riser and swallowed its fire, ruining his attack, and continued moving towards Riser.
"What is this?"
Riser said in shock and tried to fly away from the Rias' sphere.
But the sphere had a strong magnetic pull that foiled Riser's attempt of escape.
"No, no, get it away from me!"
Riser was slowly being pulled towards the sphere. The intense amount of energy coming from the sphere breed a large amount of fear in his heart.
~Bam ~Bam
Riser tried attacking the sphere with fire but to no avail.
Rias' sphere pulled him with its magnetic force, swallowing once he reached near it.
~Crunch ~Crunch
Rias heard the voice of bones cracking after her sphere devoured Riser in it.
After a few moments, the sphere disappeared and Riser started falling on the ground. His face was lifeless, drool was coming out from his mouth and his eyes were empty.
His clothes were ripped from different places while a lot of wounds can be seen all over his body.
The damage was so intense that it had overpowered his regenerative abilities.
"Lord Riser has been eliminated. Lady Rias has won the round. As Lord Riser's peerage lost, Lady Rias has won the rating game. Congratulations to her!"
Grayfia announced.
Everyone including Rias was speechless.
"Yessssss, I won!"
~Cheers
After a minute, Rias screamed in celebration. Followed by her, the crowd joined her in celebration. Everyone except the members of the Phenex Clan was cheering for the Ruin Princess.
"Losing was fine but losing such badly? She's insane! Now Phenex clan have to give up on the Gremory Heiress, well it's no good forcing a young woman against her wish."
Lady Phenex put her hand on her head and said with a disappointing tone.
"I would be lying if I say that I expected that from Rias."
Venelana said while laughing.
"All thanks to Jay, who trained Rias and her peerage, they were able to score the victory. Without him, she would have found it hard."
Boa Hancock commented which made Venelana gratefully thank Jay for helping her daughter.
~Clutch
The door of the VIP room opened and Rias and her peerage barged in.
"Teacher! I won!"
Rias ran towards Jay and hugged him, wrapping her arms around his neck and sitting on his lap.
"You did great, Rias!"
Jay responded by hugging her and patting her back.
"What a bad daughter... forgetting her mother."
Venelana teased playfully as she didn't greet her mother.
As the sweet moment played on, Boa Hancock excused herself and took the leave to announce something important.
"Greeting everyone! I, Boa Hancock, hope that you enjoyed the rating game between Lady Rias and Lord Riser. Now since it's over, please be ready for a pleasant evening as there will be a banquet. I invite all the devils, young magi and all who are present here to attend it. Thank you!"
Boa Hancock announced. Everyone got excited as it's a great opportunity to meet new and interesting people.
