Present day in the in-between
Bella takes a moment to absorb the information, feeling a mix of sadness and worry for her mother. She reaches out and holds her mother's hand, offering comfort and support.
"I understand that you have accepted your fate, Mom. But l want you to know that I am not giving up. I am not going to accept that fate. I will do everything I can to find a way to help you and even if I can't, I am grateful that I found you, even if it is for a little while." Bella says.
Tears well up in Princess Rose's eyes as she squeezes Bella's hand. "Thank you, my sweet Belladonna. We will make the most of the time we have together and get to one another."
Bella nods, a determination burning in her eyes. "We will, Mom. Now, can you start teaching me how to control my powers? I want to become stronger, not just for myself, but for you too." Bella says with determination. She is not going to lose her mother when she just found her.
Princess Rose smiles, a mixture of pride and love in her gaze. "Of course, my dear. Let's begin. I will teach you the basics today. The only thing you are going to learn today is how to control your magic and how to make sure you don't hurt yourself and those around you. Your magic has been locked away for years, so it won't be easy for you to master it. Most witches start learning how to control their magic when they are young." Princess Rose explains.
They walk through the garden, stopping at various flowers as Princess Rose teaches Bella about their different properties and uses. She explains how certain flowers can be used for healing, while others have powers of protection or strength. Bella listens intently, absorbing every word her mother says.
"First, you have to understand that your powers are a part of you, but they do not define you. Using your powers is okay but you should never depend on them all the time. They are a gift, but also a responsibility," Princess Rose begins. "It's important to always use your powers for good and never let them consume you. Magic needs balance and you should always know the cost of any kind of magic." Princess Rose explains.
"Remember, it takes time and practice to fully master your abilities. Patience is key," Princess Rose advises. "And always trust your instincts. Your powers are connected to your intuition, so listen to that inner voice."
As they continue walking, Bella starts to feel a tingling sensation in her fingertips. She looks down and notices that the flowers she touches begin to glow and bloom even brighter. Excitement rushes through her veins as she realizes that she is starting to tap into her powers.
"See, you are already making progress," Princess Rose says, her eyes filled with pride. "Just like the flowers, your powers can bring beauty and light into the world. What you did just now, is that you tapped into your earth magic. I am so proud of you Belladonna" Bella smiles, at the pride in her mother's voice.
As they continue their walk, they come across a secluded area with a small pond surrounded by vibrant lilies. Princess Rose kneels beside the water and gestures for Bella to join her. She places her hand in the water and a soft glow envelops it.
"Water has a special connection to emotions," Princess Rose explains. "It can enhance or calm them, depending on how it's used. By connecting with the water, you can learn to control your emotions and harness your powers more effectively."
Bella hesitates but takes a deep breath and closes her eyes. She slowly places her hand in the water. Instantly, she feels a sense of calm wash over her. Her mind clears and she can feel her powers becoming more stable. She looks at her mother in awe.
"I feel...different, it feels like the water is part of me," Bella says, amazed.
"That's the power of the water, it purifies one's mind and connects with your soul." Princess Rose replies with a smile. "Now, let's move on to the next step."
They spend the rest of the day exploring the garden, Princess Rose shows Bella hidden paths and secret areas that hold even more magical flowers. Princess Rose teaches Bella different techniques, from visualization exercises to breathing exercises, all aimed at helping her control her powers.
As they sit together in the garden, Bella looks at her mother with so much happiness.
"We have learned the basics of earth and water magic today. Next time I will teach you the basics of air and fire magic. Fire magic is the most difficult, hardest, and dangerous and will require a lot of time and patience. It took me six months to master the magic. But for you, I don't think it will be hard. I sensed when you first came here that you have all four elements of magic like your grandmother queen Belladonna. It didn't take you long to learn the basics of earth and water magic so I am sure it will be the same with air and fire." Princess Rose explains.
"How long do you think it will take for me to master all the magic elements?" Bella asks her mother.
"It will depend on how much you can handle. You have pure vampire magic in your blood which is an even more powerful and dangerous kind of magic. If you do not learn how to control pure vampire magic, it will be hard for you to control any kind of magic. You can learn the basics of the magic elements but you can not wield them if you do not have the strength to control their source." Princess Rose says.
"How do I learn how to control the pure vampire magic?" Bella asks her mother.
"Pure vampire magic can only be controlled near the source. For you to learn how to control it, you need to go to your father in the magical realm. He is the warden of the Great Mountains, the holder of the source of pure vampire magic."
"How do I get there?"
"Don't worry Lord Mike and Lady Regina will take you. Your dragon and your wolf are becoming impatient and will want to be let out soon. Your parents know that the magical realm will be a good place for you so they will take you there. Just be patient and do not push yourself too much."
"But I want to learn everything fast so that I can find a way to save you," she says, her voice filled with determination. "I won't accept losing you. You sacrificed everything to protect me so I will do the same."
Princess Rose smiles and holds Bella's hand.
"My dear, you are already saving me," she says gently. "By learning to control your powers, you are honoring our family's legacy and ensuring that the dragons remain free from the control of others. That, in itself, is a victory."
Bella nods, understanding the weight of her responsibility.
"Well, look at that, our time together is up. You need to wake up and learn to control your powers in the real world. Just try to be calm dear." Princess Rose says smiling at Bella.
"Will I see you again?" Bella asked.
"Yes, my dear, we will surely see each other again."
"I hope to see you soon Mother," Bella says emotionally.
"Remember my dear Belladonna don't tell anyone about me until I tell you to. Not even your parents. It has been twenty-one years since I last saw them and I don't know whose side they are on. I don't know who I should trust just yet. If they ask you if you have seen anything while you were unconscious, tell them you have not seen anything" Princess Rose tells Bella
"I promise I won't tell anyone about you," Bella says reassuring her mother.
Princess Rose smiles at Bella, her daughter, thankful for her understanding. "Thank you, my sweet Belladonna. It means the world to me," she says warmly. "I know it may be difficult to keep such a secret, but it is crucial for your safety. We must be cautious until we can determine who can be trusted."
Bella nods, understanding the gravity of the situation. The mysterious aura surrounding Princess Rose only intensified Bella's curiosity and desire to know more about her mother and herself.
"Your secret is safe with me, Mom, I am not going to tell a soul," Bella promises, determination gleaming in her eyes.
Princess Rose's gaze softens as she reaches out to hold Bella's hand. "You truly are my brave daughter Belladonna Aconitum. I might not have been around when you were growing up but our bond as mother and daughter is unbreakable." She says kissing Bella on the forehead. "You must not stay here for too long my dear or they will start suspecting, wake up." Her mother's words tag on something inside her and she wakes up in her bed.
