Vincent gave an infernal laugh and whispered in Faviana’s ear. “Let’s just play along with her for now.”
“What? How?” Faviana whispered back.
“Just do as I say,” he replied.
Faviana puffed up her chest, stomped forth with pride and stood in front of Mavena.
“My Master demands that you gift it to him,” she pointed at the oversized lizard pinned to the ground by the soldiers.
“Diarmad! Are you trying to turn the entire island into a graveyard again!?” Mavena yelled. “All those people you have killed! Just for your greed and desire to chase a delusional fairy tale!!!”
“My Master is becoming impatient!!! Hand it over!” Faviana shouted.
“Do you still remember my brother Leofric?” Mavena asked as her eyes turned bloodshot.
Vincent whispered in Faviana’s ear again, “This is getting out of hand. No need to negotiate any further, just barge in.”
Faviana thumped her chest and charged at Mavena like a raging bull.
