Also it was some sort of privacy for people like me who might get hungry in the middle of the night and I won't disturb the other side now. Most importantly we needed to change.
After changing our clothes we assembled our goods in the correct way so that we could make the space a little more spacious. It was needed because once the next day starts it would be very difficult for us to even move around when we need to rush to the bathrooms. We didn't even have to see the other side of the curtain because we could hear them snore. They were already asleep by the time we had just finished changing. Only they know how they can just sleep without even changing.
The next thing we girls did was just to fall on our beds that we perfectly made for us. We had to share our beds but it was fine since we knew who were sleeping with. Min slept the moment she fell on the mattress. Seeing her sleep so peacefully I was curious if it's the mattress that was this comfortable so I pushed myself on the bed too. It was a little chilly so we had share blankets as well.
However, I couldn't fall asleep anymore. Was it because I already slept the whole time in the bus? Yes that should be it. It can't be something random that came to my mind every time I closed my eyes. I stared at the grey ceiling thinking why I was having these random thoughts. I looked at my friend sleeping carefree without even getting bothered by the number of times I have tossed and turned just now.
I could not do it anymore so I got up and sat on the bed as I brought my knees closer to my chest. The hall was darker now as the lights were switched off but I had seen enough of these dark nights to even be haunted by it. And still there was little bit of light coming from the other side of the curtain. I looked through the gap that was formed in between the two curtains. It was someone who had turned on a table lamp while he slept not facing it.
I took a closer look but it was too dark for me to recognize him even if I could clearly see his back in the light of table lamp. To my astonishment he turned his back and now his face was facing the light. I was afraid I might have waked him but then he was peacefully sleeping with his eyes closed even if the light was falling straight on him. I did not expect to see the person I was trying to get away from in my thoughts. Chris was in front of me now but instead of being nervous like I used to be before I found myself smiling like fool. I stopped it at the very first realization and pushed myself back to the bed.
Aren't we just so opposite. When I am not even bothered if it's dark or light when I sleep he was there with the light on just facing his face. I closed my eyes trying to sleep.
Next morning I woke up when the alarm went off suddenly. It was set on my usual time and it was not necessary for now. I almost forgot to set it correctly but then I was having weird thought the previous night. I quickly turned it off before the others got up. That didn't mean I was going back to sleep though. I tried my hair into a loose ponytail with the hair guarder. As I was about to get up I saw someone's back through the gap in between the curtains. I wished it wasn't the same person as the previous night. It can't be that obvious right? Anyways it was him.
He was all dressed up with his white shirt folded till his elbows, the blue jeans, his hair a little wet from the shower he must have taken earlier and he was busy wearing a metal wrist watch. It wasn't one of those new designs but it looked heavy on his wrist and maybe a bit loose as well.
