Capítulo 162: The True Abomination
"Seriously...?" I asked. "Even with all of us together...?"
Xiang Peng shook her head. "I know a strong foe when I see one. Perhaps if we were all in our peak state, we would stand a chance, but..."
She glanced at the resting rescue squad members, and gritted her teeth. "There's only so much Blessing Magic can do, after all."
"Well...if we can't fight, we can always run," I suggested. "Everyone should be feeling well enough to walk, at least."
She nodded. "You're right. Let's go...not."
Just as she turned around and prepared to get everyone to run away, a huge abomination, similar to the one who had just shot a laser beam at me, emerged from behind the corner.
"Oh...shit," I muttered under my breath.
The resting rescue squad members struggled to their feet and backed away immediately. We formed a circle with the ten of us, Qing Yue in the middle.
Xiang Peng laughed awkwardly. "Haha...guess we'll have to fight after all, huh...?"

In this chapter, the fight against these two new foes begin! What are they? A mutation, or a new species altogether? Is this perhaps...Phase II of the Midnight Syndicate's sinister plan? Heheheh....
Man, that aside, picking courses for next year really sucks. It seems easy on the surface, but there's actually a lot of things to consider - your preferred profession, hobbies, pathway, basic graduation requirements for high school, etc....yes, I'm in high school.
I mean, sure, if this novel blows up someday, like it gets made into an anime or whatever, then I won't have to bother about jobs. I'll just become a full-time author, easy, especially since I love doing this. But right now, this novel is just decently popular. I'm making money off of it, yes, but it's not nearly enough as a sustainable means of living for my entire life.
Ah...life sucks.
