I loved watching her sleep, she looked so beautiful in her sleep, and she made me feel so lucky, very lucky that I had her.
"You ready?." Alec asked me from the threshold, he'd arrived here so fast immediately I called him.
I planted a small kiss on her forehead and stood up from the bed, "Don't wake her." I told him, walking out of the room.
He followed me behind, "Yes boss."
"What about the spy? what have you gotten so far?."
"I just got a little information that some girl was working for Matteo while you were in Scotland. Her name is…"
I cut him off, "I don't want to know her name, Alec. Did you get her or not?."
"William's taking care of her. What should I do with her?."
"I'll go see her myself, Alec." I turned around and began walking toward the elevator.
"Lest I forget, her training starts today."
I walked into the elevator, he gave me a nod as the elevator shut close.

Reaching the warehouse, all my men were gathered around, they saw me coming and paved the way for me, a girl was tied to a chair, she was young, probably one of those prostitutes out there, her short brown hair was wild, her face bloodied and bruised, her lip was busted, black smeared under her eyes and mascara tear marks stained her cheeks. Her bruised feet were strapped in a pair of stilettos, and one of the heels was broken. She was also unconscious.
Alec already hit the hell out of her before coming to me, but there were much more things that I wanted to do to her. How dare she spy on me?
Standing in front of her, I took out a joint and lit it up, "Wake her." I commanded.
One of the men splashed a bucket of water on her, she stirred slowly and opened her eyes. The first person she saw was me, her eyes widened.
"Who are you?." I asked, inhaling the joint and puffing it out in the air.
"Master Zavi?." She choked out.
"Wrong answer," I told her and William slapped her hard across her cheek.
"I won't ask again, girl."
"I'm sorry...I'm very sorry." She was crying.
I look at William, "Is she gonna waste my time now?."
"I'm Irene." She answered immediately but paused. There was silence.
"Okay, Irene. Who do you work for?." She began shaking her head as tears poured down her face.
"Would it matter?You'll kill me if I tell you, and he will kill me if I spill his name."
"Irene, tell me everything you know, you work for me and that makes you under my protection, if you tell me all the people working with you, no harm will come to you."
The girl managed to calm down, her sobs quieted and she nodded.
"Y-es Mr. Covillie. If you promise to spare me, I'll tell you everything I know."
"For now, I'll spare you, but if you don't, I'll let my men fuck you to death. Choose wisely."
"I work for Mr. Luciano, he...he was using my family against me and promised to spare them if I tell him everything you do. It started after Ms. Campbell was brought in. I found it strange that you had taken interest in her, something that you've never done before. I told him about her and he went ahead to go deeper. I don't know what he found. That's all I know."
"Were you working with someone?." I asked her even knowing the answer to that. There should be more than one, there is no way a mere whore will know much, the way Matteo spoke to me yesterday, he knew more than this.
"A guy. He's usually on a hood anytime I give him information, he, in turn, provides the information to him. I've never seen him before. He just appears anytime I have new information."
I was silent for a few minutes, my men watched quietly.
I puffed out another smoke and walked closer to her, "Irene, you're useless to me although you seem to be very sharp in getting useful information. You'll work for me from now on, your work is to find the man and report to me, if not.." I turn to William, "This man here will cut you into pieces."
"Yes, Mr. Zavi."
I nod, "Anything else for me?."
"Since I work for you now, I'd like to tell you that Ms. Campbell is in danger wherever she is. We are meant to kill her today."
I stepped back and asked, "Are you sure?."
"Never been this sure." She replied and I turned around and walked away.
I sped through the road to my penthouse, I quickly dialed Alec's number and he didn't pick up. I dialed Nora's and it wasn't reachable.
"Fanculo." (Fuck)

I parked by the road and ran into the hotel, and that was when the shooting began. Everyone screamed, running helter-skelter, the place was noisy as I ran through it, pushing them out of my way.
That was when I saw Vanora run out of the elevator in fear, I yelled, "Vanora." But she didn't hear me obviously because of the noise in the background, she went back into the elevator and I ran after her.
I got into the elevator, my mind guessing that she must be stopping at another floor, I was angry, Matteo invaded my privacy, how dare he come into my territory?
The elevator stopped, "What are you waiting for?." I heard a man shout and I quickly cock my gun.
From across me, I can see Nora at the wall pleading for mercy, she looked so scared and vulnerable.
One of Matteo's men grabbed her wrist, my blood boiled, how dare he touch her? I burst his head and Nora screamed, the other two turned, I released my bullet on another and then shot the one right in his forehead.
There was silence.
"Vanora?." I called quietly and stepped out of the elevator.
"Zavi," She yelled and ran into my arms.
I wrapped her in my arms as she sobbed quietly. She must have been so scared.
"Sorry, I'm late. I'm so sorry." I mumbled, caressing her hair softly.
"They tried to kill me, I don't know what I did, why would they kill me?." She spoke amidst tears.
"Ssh.. No one's gonna kill you. I'm so sorry, baby. I'm here for you."
"Alec…" She said and slowly went out of my arms, I turned back to see Alec, blood dampened his shirt, he had been shot in the arm.
"You're bleeding, Alec. We have to take you to the hospital."
"I'm fine, I just want to know if you're fine too. And shit, you're okay, better than I am." He joked and I chuckled.
"This is no time to joke, Alec. Let's leave this place, more might be on their way." I told them, grabbed Nora's hand, and started walking into the elevator.

Author's pov.
Zavi waited until Nora had gone to clean up, Davina had gone to work as usual and there was no one to take care of Alec's wound.
As Alec sat on his bed, Zavi came in with the first aid box.
"The girl is not working alone." He told Alec as he began cleaning the outer part of the wound with cotton wool.
"I know right, there was no way Matteo could know much or even find out so soon. Did she tell you who?." Alec asked.
Zavi shook his head, "No, she didn't know who. She said it's some guy." He looked up at Alec, "This will hurt." He told him and stuck the hospital knife into his arm, Alec groaned in pain as Zavi used the knife in bringing out the bullet.
Alec sighed, wiping the heat from his forehead, Zavi grabbed a bottle of wine and gave it to him.
He tied the wound with a cloth and walked to the bed, he grabbed his phone and dialed Matteo's number.
"Missing me already, Friend?."
"I'm not your friend, Matteo. I'm now your biggest enemy. How dare you invade my territory? this is against the rules."
"I don't know what you're talking about." He said, Alec, frowned.
"Oh, you know what I am talking about. Listen, Matteo. The next time you try this stuff with me again, I'll make sure I have your head."
"Calm down, Zavi. You and I know that I don't lie. I take responsibility for my actions, would you think I'll do it and then deny it? I've not started yet and you're blaming me. It looks like I'm not the only one after your girl."
The line went dead.
Zavi looked at Alec.
"If Matteo says he didn't do it, I believe him."
Alec got angry.
"Who the fuck wants Nora dead apart from Matteo? Zavi, when are you going to tell Nora about him?."
"Who's Matteo?." Vanora asked, walking in on them. Everyone went mute.
"And what are you hiding from me?."

Matteo smirked and threw the phone on the sofa, he walked to the person in front of him and slapped the person hard across the face, and he gave the person another slap.
"I say when to kill her, she's mine to take care of. How dare you do it without my permission?." He yelled.
The person flinched and stepped back, head on a low. "I'm very sorry, boss."
"He's suspecting me now, change of plans. Make her come willingly, Zavi will not be able to get her out of his sight now making it very hard for us."
"You'll face the consequences after this." He stated and walked away.
