Capítulo 170: Chapter (Hundred) Sixty Nine: Blanket

The journey had been so dreary and tiresome, it lulled Becca to sleep. Her consciousness slowly slipped off as the thick cloud of torpor engulfed her. She lolled her head on the headrest of the chair she sat on, her limbs skew and her neck set in the most uncomfortable position ever— which would surely hurt later.

She hovered over the fringes of deep slumber, her senses were somewhat alert yet so tersely aware of her surroundings that she didn't notice the sounds of footsteps approaching her. She didn't feel the presence of the man that stood inches away, staring at her. She hadn't stirred awake as he gently— cautiously— adjusted her posture into a much more comfortable one— one that would result in fewer cramps afterward.
