Capítulo 1: Prologue

The rain fell on a lonely figure as he stared at the handmade tombstone in front of him. The lightning and the fierce rain and wind were an appropriate metaphor for the tumultuous emotions felt by the young man. His whole world seemed to be crashing around him and he was left in limbo, unsure of how to pick up the pieces of his broken soul.

Natsu Dragneel has always considered himself a simple person, always carrying his heart on his sleeve. This put him in many precarious situations in the past, but now he didn't know what to do. How does he continue with this unbearable pain tearing away his soul? It seemed to him that the world was working against him. Do his best to torment him. Because it seemed like everything he loved had been taken from him. His hollow eyes focused again on the headstone.

The tombstone of Lisanna Strauss.

The most important person in the world for him. She was his anchor. Which kept him firmly anchored to the ground. The happiness and joy he felt with her was something he hadn't thought he could do since the disappearance of his father. She was the light of her world that was once plunged into darkness.

And now ... without that ... he can feel the darkness invading once more.

Since coming to Fairy Tail, it has been a bag of mixed emotions for him. Natsu was trained in the guild tradition by the guild master, Makarov Dreyer. The principles he spoke of and the promise of a family were things he could hardly refuse. For a boy whose only contact, as far as he can remember, was an imposing dragon ... the promise of new friends and adventure were the ultimate lure. Don't twist him though, he liked Igneel a lot, but his sense of adventure was something that couldn't be suppressed. He wanted to make new friends, meet new people, see new places and see the different magic that the world had to offer.

When he laid eyes on the Fairy Tail building, he burst out at the seams of excitement. It seemed so mysterious, and Master Makarov's explanation behind the guild name only drew him even more. He was eager to meet the many unique characters that lay beyond. When he finally entered, the amount of chaos and destruction that awaited him made his eyes wide with joy. Tables were flying, bottles were broken, and people were trying to fight each other. The crazy part, however, was that there were smiles on their faces. He has never seen so much chaos. He was instantly in love. Things did not go so well afterwards. Natsu would never claim to be an overly sensitive boy, nor would he say that he was particularly subtle with his emotions. However, the reaction he received when he revealed that he was looking for his father, who happened to be a fiery dragon, was very discouraging.

He still remembers the laughter that greeted him when he was revealed. This made him shrink a bit in himself. They thought he was lying. That he invented things. Why would he ever do something like this? He was telling the truth and no one believed him. He looked at the Master, who seemed contemplative, but did nothing to stop the hoots. Natsu looked down sadly at this. It was not the reaction he hoped for. Even children his age did not believe it. A black haired girl he now knows as Ayumi fullbuster (Fem Gray because why not) was particularly vocal in his disagreement.

Natsu never said anything in retaliation. He just kept smiling and trying to keep going. He was never one to give in to these negative emotions. He thought he would wait and see how it goes. He would give them at least a few weeks to get used to him and maybe they could be friends from there.

What happened, however, was that the adults left the children to their own devices and continued their business. Natsu was then introduced to Erza and Mirajane. These two were his main executioners. Erza was even more socially incompetent than he was, which spoke volumes since he basically had the manners of a caveman. She imposed his opinions on him without worrying about hers and constantly pushed him. She also removed her frustrations on him and Ayumi and beat them everywhere. She was also hypocritical because she berated him and Ayumi and others for fighting in the guild when she would do the same with Mirajane. Mirajane, on the other hand, took a kind of perverse pleasure in tormenting and intimidating him whenever she could. He still remembered the day when he tried to do his first mission and discovered that he could not. He did not read the language in which the requests were written. His "family" laughed at him. He knew, however, that he could read; he barely remembers being taught by anyone. It made no sense for him not to be able to read the request. Apparently, according to Mirajane, she found her weeping face adorable and seized every chance to bring it out.

He was on the verge of tears when he heard Mirajane's taunts when Erza took charge of teaching him to read. Natsu was delighted to hear this. He was very willing to learn and hoped that maybe he could become better friends with Erza at the same time ... It didn't happen. His "lessons" were not much better than his normal behavior. She was energetic and abusive in her request. He barely had time to eat or rest as she literally typed out the information. It was a torturous experience for him but he put the negatives in mind and was just thankful that he could now read and write like everyone else. The lingering trauma of Erza's `` lessons '' never eased, however, and he lived in constant fear around the girl.

After about a month at Fairy Tail, he was on the verge of quitting smoking. The old man had lied to him. It was nothing like a family he envisioned. He was intimidated without anyone taking over his torturers. He had no friends and he honestly felt like a stranger. Despite being surrounded by so many people, he had never felt more alone in his life. Everyone seemed to be joining the Guild except him. He was ready to stop at that time and continue his life.

It was then that she entered her life ...

Like an angel descending from heaven. She offered him salvation from her sufferings. Her smile was so innocent and inviting. She was like the Sun to him, drawing him towards him and he was helpless in his pull. He did not fight her, however, because nothing seemed fairer to him than being near her. Lisanna was his first and best friend. She was always patient with him, never berated him and always willing to teach him things about the world he didn't know. She was worth all the shit treatment from the rest of the guild. He had finally found someone he could call his friend, his family.

They have done everything together since then, from camping to fishing to various games. Lisanna brought joy to her life in a way he didn't even think was possible. It only got better when he found Happy. The little blue fur ball, though boring most of the time, was really a harbinger of happiness. He completed the small family of Natsu and Lisanna and nothing was more satisfying than that of Natsu. His days were full of purpose and he woke up every morning with something to hope for. He couldn't help but wonder if this was what Igneel wanted for him. Even though he could be quite dense most of the time, mainly partly because of his lack of understanding of manners and social norms, even he could say that there was something special between him and Lisanna. Something that transcends friendship. It was a vague feeling that he had given up fighting some time ago. He wondered if it was what others called love. He didn't dwell on it, however, when he decided to discuss it with Lisanna when she returned from her mission. Perhaps they could formalize their "family". God knows he couldn't honestly imagine his life without these two.

Now ... he didn't have to ...

She was gone.

His whole world was collapsing around him and Natsu didn't know how to stop it. He didn't know how to prevent these horrible feelings in his heart from taking root. His light was gone. Its illuminating flame has been cruelly smothered by the horrors of this world.

He knew in his heart that going on this mission was a bad idea. His instinct warned him, but he refused to listen. He went to great lengths to convince Mirajane to allow her to accompany them, but she was ruthless in rejecting her idea. His words were still stinging now. He should have followed her from afar. He should have been there to protect Lisanna. It was his duty as a man in their family. But he did not do it. He had failed again. Like always. He couldn't help but consider himself a failure. All it seemed to be good was to destroy things.

He tried so hard, but he could stem the tears that ran down his face. Why did this happen to them? He couldn't understand why their lives were cut short when it brought so much happiness and joy to the world. Is it because of him? It was around someone like him the reason she had been removed from this world.

Natsu could not do anything to prevent the terror causing the thought to bloom in his mind.

First Igneel and now Lisanna. Was he destined to lose those he loved forever? Is it a cruel punishment that he was forced to endure? Would they have lived a happier life if they had never met him?

Why? Why? Why?! WHY?!

Why did his relatives always leave him ?!

It was not fair! How was he supposed to continue ?! The pain in his heart was unbearable. He wondered if he could stop this pain if he had to join her in the afterlife. He felt all these negative thoughts and emotions which he suppressed floating on the surface. He was angry at the treatment he received from his fellow guilds. He felt the net of hatred that was in his heart at Igneel for having abandoned it without a word. He felt angry with Erza and Mirajane for daring to intimidate him. He felt the lingering resentment towards Elman for being the cause of the loss of the most important person in his life. The misery of the loneliness that he was forced to endure again and again. He was desperate to lose his family. Hating not being able to protect them.

Why was he still so weak? His noisy boast of force now seemed so hollow that it was laughable. It was a joke. A jester trying to pass himself off as a king.

He could feel the negativity gnawing at him. He always did his best to suppress these feelings but he couldn't do it any more. What was the point? It was not necessary for him to erect a facade of happiness when his true happiness had disappeared. This world was rotten and he was forced to face this harsh truth that day. There was no hope. There was no salvation. There was no God.

Anger and hatred burned in his eyes as he looked up into the sky ... as if he had dared the gods to shoot him down. He didn't care anymore. His world had lost its color. It was just a monochromatic slide show of useless events. Nothing mattered anymore.

Natsu didn't know it, but fate would surprise him. Someone chose a change in him that day. Whether it is for the best remains to be seen.

(Change of scene)

Mirajane Strauss was inconsolable curling up in her little sister's bed, hoping to find some comfort in her lingering smell. She wore only an oversized white shirt and plain panties. Her usual Gothic makeup was missing because she had no motivation to swell. His arm was still in plaster because it was broken.

The endless guilt and self-loathing she was currently experiencing was far too powerful for her to focus her energy on anything else. His precious little sister was gone and everything was his fault. No matter how many people tried to convince her otherwise, she knew the blame lay squarely on her shoulders. Shame filled her even when she remembered the circumstances that had led to the heartbreaking tragedy. They say the recoil is 20/20 and she could now see clearly where she had gone wrong.

She had moved so far from the person she was. Since Master Makarov taught her to control the power she had obtained, she had changed. But it was not without reason, at least for her at the time, it was not. Looking back, she can see that there was no excuse for her.

The living memory that she and her siblings were marked as unwanted by their village and chased away with pitchforks and torches was something that could never stray too far from her memories. The utter despair and helplessness she had felt at that time was something she would never forget and it was something she had vowed never to feel again. She promised herself that Elfman and Lisanna would never have to feel the fear and hunger they had felt during those dark days. She promised herself that she would become stronger than anyone and protect them from this harsh world in which they lived.

However, looking back, she can see how far she had gone from her promised path. After taking control of her great power, she got drunk. His ego swelled and his arrogance skyrocketed. She stood as superior to everyone around her and she always found time to remind everyone. She became a bully. She repelled the other members of the guild and intimidated those whose crowd she chose. At the time, it was not bullying in his mind. It was just harmless fun for her to have at the expense of others. But looking back, she can now see how she mistreated some of the other members. The main targets are Natsu and Ayumi. But the former more than the latter.

She was brave enough to admit that she had a bit of a crush on the Dragon Slayer. He was just too cute. Her carefree attitude and her blindly happy smile were something irresistible to someone who was as rooted in negative emotions as she was. Not to mention, he had that unyielding will and determination in his eyes that simply attracted him. He was like a shining star shining on the Guild. She knew that most of the others felt the same way about the fiery mage. He quickly became the heart of the Guild with his positive contagious attitude, perfectly embodying all the traits of the Guild. That's why she could admit defeat, this time only, when it was clear that Lisanna was madly in love with him. And even if he was a bit silly, it was clear that he absolutely adored his sister. Everyone could see that he basically adored the ground that Lisanna was walking on. Mirajane might admit being a little jealous of her sister because of this. It would not have taken long for him to realize that he had similar emotions for Lisanna as she did for him and acted accordingly. Even though she was sad never to have the chance to be with him, she was happy with the promise that her sister had a bright and happy future ahead of her filled with love and happiness.

That is why his death hurt even more. Her beautiful Lisanna, so young and so innocent with such a bright future ahead of her… and all this was taken from her because of the arrogance and pride of her older sister.

Mirajane was overwhelmed with guilt as tears continued to leak from her eyes, not that she did anything to stop them. She had thought she would run out of tears but there was no end in sight. She held herself responsible for the horrible tragedy that struck her family. Even though Master Makarov and even Erza tried to tell her that it wasn't her fault ... she knew it was. She became so taken by her own power and her own legend that she began to believe that she was invincible and that perceived superiority was the very reason why her innocent little sister had suffered such a horrible death and the reason for which her brother was now traumatized. She wanted so badly to blame the demons in her. She wanted to blame them for influencing her with their negative emotions ... but she couldn't. She knew better. She was not a real demon. These emotions were not hers and she was powerful enough to distinguish them and keep them at bay easily. His attitude was entirely hers. She never wanted to be such a rude person. But after feeling the pain and helplessness she felt at the hands of the villagers in her hometown ... she swore she would be strong ... that she would never allow herself to be so weak again. Not just for her, but also for Elfman and Lisanna. A lot of good that did ... But after feeling the pain and helplessness she felt at the hands of the villagers of her hometown ... she swore that she would be strong ... that she would never allow herself to be as weak. Not just for her, but also for Elfman and Lisanna. A lot of good that did ... But after feeling the pain and helplessness she felt at the hands of the villagers of her hometown ... she swore that she would be strong ... that she would never allow herself to be as weak. Not just for her, but also for Elfman and Lisanna. A lot of good that has done…

She couldn't help but wonder if things would have happened differently if she had accepted the help offered by others to accompany her on the quest. She couldn't help but wonder if her sister would still be alive if she had taken Natsu with her as he asked her to spend a fateful day.

* Go back *

Mirajane was standing next to Elfman preparing to go on an emergency search for Class S. They came to the park to allow Lisanna to say goodbye to Natsu before he left. She looked with a sly smile as she could see them and hear them laughing at their little family with Happy and Lisanna having fun teasing Natsu who could do nothing but blush with embarrassment. It was an adorable reaction, which made him want to join him and tease the poor boy even more. She knew, however, that they had to continue.

"Lisanna, we have to go." Elfman yelled as they both approached the group.

"I arrive!" She replied.

"Huh? Where are you going, Lisanna? You just got home." Natsu asked, confused.

"This is an emergency Class S quest. Since Mira-nee is the only Class S mage currently in town, it comes back to her automatically. She takes us as reinforcements." Clarified Lisanna.

"EH ?! It's not fair! I also want to go on an S-Class mission!" Natsu moaned with an adorable pout on his face that made Lisanna and Mira just want to shine. He was just too cute for his own good.

"Mira-nee ... can Natsu come with us?" Lisanna asked her older sister, bringing happiness to Natsu's eyes. Before Mira could answer, Elfman intervened.

"I'm against it! A man should be able to protect his own family!" He said with a cry while flexing his muscles.

"Come on! I can totally help you! You have to take me!" Plaida Natsu.

"Fufufu ... Sorry Natsu, but I agree with Elfman. Also, as you are now, there is no way that you can handle an S-Class mission with the weakness that you currently are. May - be that if you train and get a little stronger, I could think of taking you in a few years. "She taunted him with a sardonic gleam in her eyes to match her condescending tone. She took pleasure in the way her cheeks were embarrassed at his comments.

Natsu straightened when he heard this and the flash of pain and anger that crossed his eyes was so brief that no one caught it. However, he said nothing in retaliation, having gotten used to the taunts and humiliation from the devil. Lisanna, for her part, looks horrified by what her sister just said to Natsu. She wanted to defend him, but she caught Natsu's attention as he motioned for her to let him go. It didn't make her very happy, however, and she promised to give her sister a piece of her mind later.

"Hahaha, you're probably right." Natsu said with a fake smile on his face and an empty tone, something that worried Lisanna a lot.

She turned her eyes to Natsu and the two looked at each other deeply for what seemed like eternity. "Well, I'm leaving, Natsu."

"Good luck, Lisanna. I'll be waiting for you when you get back." Natsu replied with a warm smile on his face as he looked at her adoringly. Lisanna couldn't help but crash into him with a loving embrace, with Happy sandwiched between them. It was something that filled Natsu with happiness and gave Lisanna the strength she needed. If that meant she could feel that feeling again, she would make sure to come home soon.

Unfortunately, it was a promise she would never keep.

Mira watched the scene with a twinge of jealousy in her heart which she quickly buried under her usual condescending smile. Her eyes betrayed her sadness, however, as she gazed longingly at the scene and the love that was shared between the group in front of her.

* Flashback End *

Mira's tears flowed even harder when she thought about what had happened. If she hadn't been so proud of her pride and brought Natsu with them, Lisanna would probably still have been alive. She let her ego take over and the price she paid was far too much to bear.

She could still remember the look in Natsu's eyes when she told him the news. She expected him to lose control and yell at her… but he didn't. She actually wanted him to hit her, because she felt she deserved it ... but again, he didn't. And that scared him more than anything. The smile he had when he saw them and looked for Lisanna was gone when he heard what had happened. The glare in his eyes blunted and seemed to die as he looked at her with apparently hollow eyes. His whole body became rigid and his magic fluctuated a little, but there was no reaction from him. After a few seconds of silence, he simply turned around robotically and left the Guild. No one has seen him since, not even at Lisanna's funeral.

Although it may have escaped the attention of others, Mira could see that it was clear as day. The hatred and anger that burned behind his gaze as he looked at her was something that tore his heart. She wanted to cry, she wanted to protest. But she knew she had no right. She deserved all the hatred he now apparently had for her. She only intimidated him during the entire time that she knew him. She had abused him physically and emotionally. She took every chance she could to humiliate him, just so that she could get a reaction from him. She does not remember an occasion when she said a nice word to him or had a decent conversation with him. For all his boastfulness, she was just as socially awkward as he was. Even if she wanted to get to know him, even if she would have been happy to have his attention. It was far too closed and fearful of taking the risk of bonding with anyone. So she hid her insecurities with her odious personality ... and now, she had to reap the consequences of her actions.

It was a failure. A failure as a mage. Failure as a sister ... and failure as a person.

It was worthless now. She didn't deserve to be a Fairy Tail mage. She did not deserve the love and support she had received from her guild mates, especially considering the slut she had been. She could feel the reluctance and the insecurity lingering in her ugly head. The helplessness she felt now was much worse than she had ever experienced before. Maybe it would have been better if she had left the Guild all these years ago. Maybe Lisanna would have been alive today and lived a busy life. She couldn't help but meditate on these things. She knew, however, that she couldn't dwell on these thoughts. Lisanna wouldn't want her to run away from her problems like a coward. She had to be strong, not for herself but for Elfman. She had no doubt that her brother was just as bad, if not worse, than she was. It was difficult to continue when she felt that part of her soul was being torn from her. His magic was useless. Nothing good ever came of it. It was the source of her pain since she had defeated this first demon. She thought she had changed ... but she was clearly wrong. The only thing that became clear to her was that she was worthless. All she could do was spread the violence. What good was her magic if she couldn't even save her precious little sister? was that it was worthless. All she could do was spread the violence. What good was her magic if she couldn't even save her precious little sister? was that it was worthless. All she could do was spread the violence. What good was her magic if she couldn't even save her precious little sister?

(Change of scene)

There was something wrong with the guild hall while people were doing their business. The usual exuberant behavior of the Guild was much more moderate. They were still shocked by the death of one of their members. Lisanna was undoubtedly one of the people who brought the most joy and joy to the guild with her bright personality and happy smile. They were always ready to talk to others and lend a hand when needed.

Needless to say, her absence was a glaring anomaly in the guild that had grown accustomed to seeing her every day for the past few years. People were still trying to cope with the loss, and Master Makarov knew it would take a while to regain their noisy personality.

Erza was sitting at the bar, slowly eating her favorite strawberry cheesecake. It was obvious, however, that his mind was more precisely elsewhere on Natsu. Ayumi, Cana and Levy sat in silence on one of the stands, just absorbing the company of the others. They were all close to Lisanna to some extent, having been in the same age group, and were forced to face the death of a close friend. Happy has lost his happiness and tears are crying. For those like Ayumi and Erza, it was not their first contact with the loss of a loved one ... that didn't mean it was easier. Mira and Elfman were still in mourning at home, with Master telling them to take the time to recover before returning.

Watching the scene in front of him broke the old Master's heart. He was old enough to live this scene countless times. However, this did not facilitate the witness' task. There was nothing more painful than watching your children die, and it was an unfortunate privilege that he was forced to endure over and over again. He had shed tears from the comfort of his own home, having had to put up a solid front for the rest of the guild. It was very painful to lose one of her children, especially those who brought as much happiness as Lisanna. He was worried about Elfman and Mirajane. He knew that the trauma of such events never left the people who experienced them. He was worried about the effects that losing a person they loved so much would do to them. He knew it would be a difficult road for them to travel,

The real problem, in his opinion, was Natsu. It had been a week since Lisanna's death, and a week since he had seen the young Dragon Slayer. Normally, he would not be as worried about the young man. His courage and strength of mind were among the strongest in the guild. However, he saw Natsu's reaction to the news today. He saw signs of dark emotions bubbling beneath the surface. It was shameful for him to admit, but Natsu didn't have as much connection to the Guild as the other members. Makarov was proud of his flawless approach to guild members. This allowed them to go about their business and solve their own problems, intervening only when necessary.

However, the case of Natsu Dragneel was the one he wanted to be dealt with earlier. He had seen the way others made fun of him when he proclaimed that he had been brought up by a dragon. Makarov was unsure of his claim, but knew enough to know that the magic of Dragon Slayer could only be learned in two ways. Have a dragon teach you or have a dragon lacrima implanted. He had experience with the latter, his grandson, Laxus, being the one who got his Dragon Slayer magic that way. Makarov could not sense the presence of a lacrima in Natsu's body, prioritizing his claim to have been lifted by a dragon. While they were considered an extinct species, Makarov did not rule out the possibility that dragons were still there. The others weren't as open-minded as he was, however, and let the boy know,

He saw the damaging effect it had on the boy by making him keep the others at arm's length instead of opening up to them. The behavior of Erza and Mirajane did not help anyway. He could see he was slowly losing the young mage, and he would have done it without little Lisanna. She entered and crossed Natsu's barriers and easily made friends. She gave him friendship and understanding, something he badly needed. It helped her believe her story about her father who solidified her friendship with him. Makarov's old eyes could see how taken the young killer was with Strauss's younger brother. He looked at her with eyes filled with love and adoration, something he doubted the boy would have noticed. He, along with most of the rest of the guild, knew that it was inevitable that these two would meet. He knew there was a big possibility that the fiery dragon slayer left the guild without Lisanna intervening. He could see the negative emotions inside the boy boiling, waiting to burst. However, Lisanna came and breathed all of these thoughts and surrounded him with her warmth. When Happy arrived, it was as if the universe was making sure that Natsu stayed with Fairy Tail. He was happier than Makarov had ever seen him. Her smiles were authentic and her positive personality became contagious. It is undoubtedly thanks to his little "family" that he was able to express himself so freely. Lisanna came and breathed all these thoughts and surrounded her with her warmth. When Happy arrived, it was as if the universe was making sure that Natsu stayed with Fairy Tail. He was happier than Makarov had ever seen him. He was happier than Makarov had ever seen him. Her smiles were authentic and her positive personality became contagious. It is undoubtedly thanks to his little "family" that he was able to express himself so freely.

This is why Makarov was so worried. Natsu lost the most important person in the world to him. He lost his anchor. He lost the "family" that he worked so hard to build. For someone who was as emotionally motivated as he was, it was something that could have catastrophic results. He feared that Natsu would succumb to the darkest feelings in him. He knew that as things stood, Natsu had lost one of the only two connections he had with the Guild.

This is why Master cursed himself for not having intervened earlier with Natsu. Without Lisanna and Happy, he expected Natsu to leave the guild. It was not a desirable outcome for Makarov. He knew what monstrous potential Natsu had in him. It was much more than Erza or Mirajane. More in the sense of Laxus or even Gildarts. If Natsu were to leave, chances are he could fall into obscurity because of what he had to endure for so long and the tragedy he had experienced so recently. Makarov could not allow this to happen. He couldn't allow one of his children to stray from the path of light. The problem was that there was little he could do to stop Natsu from forcing him, which was not going well. He knew that the Dragon Slayer had lost all the respect he could have for Master when he failed to curb the behavior of Erza and Mirajane. Makarov could see it in his eyes when he looked at him. He might have been able to hide it from the others, but his old eyes could clearly see the boy's disdain for him. It was not that different from his own grandson.

The old master sighed. Not for the first time, he wondered if he should have retired long ago. It seemed that he was slowly losing touch with reality. The current situation is a perfect example. With Natsu's attitude towards the guild. Laxus and his unhealthy quest for power. Erza's obsessive need to exercise authority and control. With the arrogance of Mirajane. These are problems he should have resolved long ago. That was the goal of the Guild in the first place. Provide housing for those who do not have it and provide help and support to those who need it. However, he has neglected this aspect for too long. He couldn't help but wonder if it was too late. He was tired of what the future had in store for us. As these thoughts crossed his mind, his attention was drawn to the opening of the Guild doors.

His eyes followed the young Dragon Slayer carefully, just as he knew the rest of the guild did the same. It was the first time in a week since they had seen it. He didn't look very different on the surface, but Makarov could see that there was something different about him. It lacked a certain spark. He usually kicked doors and burst in with a huge smile on his face. But now he was much more moderate. His posture was rigid and no happiness could be seen in his eyes. No, we only saw anger, hatred and sadness. He gave off an aura that clearly indicated that he did not want to be approached. Makarov was afraid that he would have come in to inform him of his withdrawal from the guild, which is why he was taken by surprise when Natsu approached the request board.

Out of the corner of his eye, he could see Erza eager to approach Natsu, but even she could clearly say that it would not end well for her from the aura he gave off. He watched Natsu inspect the board for a few minutes before responding to a request and heading for him. Without saying a word, Natsu presented the request for approval. Makarov inspected the request and saw that it was a Vulcan extermination mission in a few cities, which was quite common. The reward was 300,000 jewels. It was not a particularly difficult mission for a mage of the caliber of Natsu, but he was nevertheless worried. He knew that denying it at the time did not bode well, despite his fears for the state of mind of Dragon Slayers. Ordering him to take Erza or Ayumi would meet with even more resistance.

Without a word, Natsu turned around and left the Guild. The silence which floated in the air since its entry entered. Many were shocked by the change they saw in the normally noisy fiery mage as long as Happy was still sadder than Natsu ignoring him. They understood, however, that he was forced to endure something that he should never have had. They could only hope that he would soon return to his exuberant self.

"Was it a good idea, Master?" Erza asked with an uncertain look on her face as she sadly looked at the doors that Natsu had just entered. Makarov sighed wearily at his question.

"I don't know Erza, honestly, I don't know. There is not much I can do at this point without delaying him even more. He is currently going through a difficult time and we have no no choice but to have faith in him that he will draw through it. "He replied. However, even she could say that he was skeptical about his own words. She looked even more confused, hoping that her friend would be fine.

(Change of scene)

The raging anger and rage in his body slowly rose to the surface as Natsu watched the group of Vulcans in front of him. It took little time to find their camp once arrived in town, his nose having felt them with laughable ease. His walk here, however, was something he didn't like. He took a mental note to find a way to deal with the glaring weakness he had in transportation.

However, he didn't think so for the moment, as he focused on the task at hand. It has allowed all the horrible feelings that it has bottled over the years to resurface. He took all of these negative emotions and focused them on the targets in his field of vision. He needed to let off steam. This is the reason why he took this mission in the first place. He needed to hit something. He needed to unleash his magic and destroy something. It was something he felt compelled to do after the torturous week he was forced to endure.

There was a group of 6 Vulcans in front of him, and he was going to destroy them all. He let his hatred simmer and his flames exploded around his body. The beasts surrounded him, considering him an easy prey. He was not going to give them satisfaction, however. Without warning, he exploded from his position and reduced the distance between him and the nearest Vulcan. He lit his fist on fire and rearmed it.

"Fire Dragons Iron Fist"

The Vulcan's face twisted grotesquely around Natsu's fist as the concussive force of the blow threw the beast back into one of the trees. He could feel his fist becoming a little numb from the force he had used in the punch. He did not have time to dwell on his success while he was slapped from behind by one of the other Vulcans he had momentarily forgotten. He slipped against the ground before placing his palm on the ground and standing up. He allowed his fire to surround him before carrying out an attack on a large area.

"Fire Dragons Wing Attack"

Two large "whips" of fire extend from his arms before connecting with three other Vulcans. They were badly burned and came down screaming. The others, seeing the possible threat from Natsu, set to work. Having no choice but to defend himself up close, Natsu lit his fists and feet on fire before charging head on. He punched and kicked his attackers, hitting with every available opening he could find and burns to their unprotected bodies. He took as many shots as he gave but it didn't slow him down at all. With all the emotional pain he has felt in the past few days, the physical sensations he has been experiencing now are a welcome difference from the usual numbness he endured.

The more he attacked, the more he let his mind wander, absorbing the desired feelings he suppressed, even before reaching the Vulcan. In his mind, the faces of the Vulcans were replaced by those of other people who, he said, had been harmed. Erza, Mirajane, Ayumi, Elfman, Master Makarov and even Igneel. He remembered the negative emotions he associated with these people and that he felt an explosive of rage. He no longer wanted to feel helpless. He hated feeling weak. He hated being demeaned by the people he was supposed to call his family. Most of all, he hated being abandoned by everyone he had never loved.

He hated the way Erza had pushed him to impose his opinions on him. She treated him like a fucking idiot and he couldn't stand it. He hated how she would beat him for something as stupid as his spilled dessert. He hated how hypocritical she was and he permeated the feeling of elation he felt when he hit the Vulcan who had his face.

He always thought that Mirajane had mistreated and humiliated him in the guild. He remembered all of his mocking words and taunts, especially having made up stories about his father being a dragon because he wanted attention. The anger that rose in his as he thought about it was channeled into a devastating kick that broke the Vulcan's spine on which he superimposed Mirajane's face.

He thought of Ayumi and her sarcastic comments and her impassive attitude even if Natsu just wanted to be friends with her. It annoyed him when Ayumi had this superior attitude towards him as if she were better than Natsu. He hated being looked down upon. The Vulcan with Ayumi's face learned it the hard way when he took a hard hit on his abdomen that made him breathe.

Natsu about Elfman. He was the reason for Lisanna's death. This weak man who always preached on manhood was the one who had lost control of himself and had killed his beloved Lisanna. His stupidity and arrogance cost Natsu everything that mattered to him. Natsu hated him with passion. He thought he would burn it to pieces. He wondered what his screams would look like. As he delivered an uppercut to the Vulcan with Elfman's face, he knew he couldn't mutilate the invaded man-child. Not because he was afraid of anything, but because for some reason, Lisanna loved her brother and didn't want anyone to hurt him.

Master Makarov was someone who had promised him a family and a goal. He filled Natsu with so much hope and desire, which is why his resentment for the man grew so quickly when Natsu realized he had lied. Fairy Tail had nothing to do with what the old man had imagined. At least not for him. Not only that, but he did nothing to prevent the other members from intimidating him, not only him, but also some of the others. His direct approach to the Guild was something Natsu hated. If the old man had solved the problems he was supposed to be, maybe Natsu wouldn't have suffered at the hands of Erza and Mirajane as long as he did. If he really cared about other members of the family guild, he would have fired his grandson long ago for all the bullshit he endured to other members. If he had done his job and bent Mirajane's ego, maybe Lisanna would have been alive. Natsu had lost all the respect he had for Master and saw him only as an old senile fool who should have been hitting long ago. These were his thoughts as he struck the Vulcan with the hawk in Makarov's face.

Natsu thought of Igneel. For a very long time, Natsu's only goal in life was to search for his missing father. This is the reason why he even joined Fairy Tail in the first place. This goal took a step back when he met Lisanna and later Happy. He now had his own family. He often wondered what Igneel would have thought of him if he saw him now. He wondered if he would like Lisanna and Happy as much as Natsu. He wondered if Igneel would be happy if Natsu found his own family to support him. Now that he was gone ... Natsu's emotions were all mixed as they mixed violently. The lingering resentment he felt for his father who he had locked in the deepest parts of his mind slowly began to surface. Why did his father abandon him? Was he a bad son? Was he too weak? Wasn't he good enough to learn his father's magic? Why did he tell him he was leaving? Why didn't he teach her to read or write? Why didn't he tell her about the ways of the world? Why ?! Was it a game for Igneel ?! Was Natsu some kind of joke for the dragon to take off his candy? Why did he have to leave when Natsu loved him so much? He was like everyone else. He was just like those people who intimidated him and made fun of him. Everyone has always left him. He hated it. Hatred. That's all that went through Natsu's body as his face deformed into an expression of fury as he hit the last Vulcan who had the face of Igneel. All these negative emotions started to resonate in him, not that he realized it. His power started to pulsate. He could feel something build up inside him. The temperature around him began to rise rapidly. Strange images began to cross his mind as his magic power exploded violently around him as his flame became a dark purple color instead of their usual reddish / orange color. The ground beneath his feet darkened as the area around him was scorched by the intensity of his flames. It was the greatest power that Natsu had ever felt in his life. He didn't even know he had so much power. But for some reason, it seemed right. It was good. His flames were like an extension of himself, like a member he could easily control.

With barely a thought, he compresses the powerful flames around him into an orb the size of a basketball before shooting him at the nearest Vulcan. The beast didn't even get a chance to cry out as the orb of destruction evaporated it from the inside, leaving nothing behind except a mummified bullet. The other Vulcans watched in horror as their primitive minds realized the danger they were in. However, they didn't have much time to think about their mortality, when Natsu dropped another condensed orb of fire, vaporizing another Vulcan whose mummified body fell to dust. as it hit the ground. The remaining four Vulcans took a tired step from what they now considered a predator.

Natsu, for his part, didn't really know what was going on. He ran completely by instinct. For some reason, his mind and body moved on their own and unleashed the attack that he was certain he had never used before. It was strange, however, because his body seemed so intimately familiar with the formation of the attack. He felt, however, the great drain that these two attacks had on his magic reserves. He wanted to question what was going on, and he would have done so if he were in a rational state of mind. But right now, he was running all over his emotions, his negative emotions to be precise, and he wanted nothing more than to destroy everything in front of him.

He compresses his fire again, but this time he consciously tries to reduce the orbs and succeeds. He created four of these orbs, each just a little larger than a baseball but filled with devastating power. His breathing became heavier as he basically emptied his magic container just to create these attacks, but it was worth it. With a simple flick of the wrist, the spheres of fire rushed towards the frozen Vulcans at a rate too rapid for their feeble spirits to follow them. The sounds of their cremated insides were the only thing you could hear in the forest apart from Natsu's heavy breathing as he collapsed on his back from exhaustion.

As he lay there, looking up at the sky, Natsu raised his hand in front of his face and flexed it before lighting it. Its flames were the usual reddish / orange color. Was her magic back to normal? He did not understand what had just happened. He has been using his magic for years, but he has never reacted like this before. Why did its flames become crimson? There was nothing different from what he was doing from normal. Had he always had the potential to do so, or was his dragon killer magic evolving? Igneel never mentioned what just happened as a possibility, so he doubted it. Igneel's thought left a bitter taste in his mouth as the lingering resentment he felt for his father resurfaced. Suddenly, the flames in his hand flickered before becoming crimson.

He looked at the flames again and saw that they were back to their normal color. The idea had already appeared in his mind. He focused on his hatred and anger in his mind, and to his amazement, his flames became crimson. He looked admiringly at the magnificent fire in his hands. His mind had already assembled the pieces and he realized that these flames were related to his negative emotions. That would explain why he never used them before. He always did his best to suppress his negative emotions and never let them dictate his actions.

For the first time since Lisanna's death, Natsu felt happiness. He was still fascinated by magic and finding a new way to use his sound left him a bit dizzy. This happiness disappeared as he fell into a cycle of self-loathing. He wondered if he had that kind of power, could he have saved Lisanna. Would Igneel have stayed with him?

It left him feeling empty when his back hit the ground again. He hated that feeling. He hated losing people he cared about. He hated being weak and looked down. He didn't want to feel that anymore. He had power now, but it seemed to be far too late. He was considering leaving Fairy Tail, but ultimately decided not to do so. Fairy Tail was Lisanna's house. She loved the Guild and he would stay to honor his memory. He would protect his house for him. Not to mention, they received the best jobs with the best rewards for him to benefit from. He didn't know what he would do now. His life purpose was gone. He had hoped to live a long and fruitful life with Lisanna and Happy, but it was stolen from him. He thought of continuing his quest for Igneel, but at the moment he did not care much for finding his father. The sting he felt when he was abandoned was greater at this low point in his life and he didn't really care why he was thrown away like yesterday's trash. He was lost. He had no direction and no purpose in life. He had never felt so empty before. He didn't like that feeling at all. He was always someone who was motivated by something. He always let his goal guide his journey. Now that he didn't have one ... what should he do? Could he live his life day by day as he drifted, hoping to find some semblance of resolution? s trash can. He made a wish at that time that he would never let himself be felt that way again. If it was the pain he felt when he lost someone, then he would never get close to anyone again. That way he wouldn't have to feel it again. He loved Igneel and held him in very high regard, but the dragon threw him away when he was done with him. To this day, Natsu didn't know the reason he didn't care. Master Makarov lied to him about the big family which was Fairy Tail. He betrayed Natsu's expectations. If it weren't for Lisanna, he would have washed his hands with the place. And now he's lost the two people he loved most. He was tired of his happiness and his expectations were cruelly wrested from him. If it meant living a lonely life, so be it.

For the moment, he has resolved to continue training. He didn't know what else was there. He knew his Lisanna would want him to continue his life and he knew that Happy would slap him upside down with a fish to mop up about them. He would take missions and travel across the continent. Maybe he would find a new goal someday. Until then, it would continue to develop its power. He would increase his magic and explore this new side of him that he had discovered. He wouldn't let anyone walk on him anymore. He would now be his own man. He no longer cared about the stupid philosophies of Fairy Tail. They showed him that it was not theirs to take their attitude to heart and dissociate themselves from their members. He didn't have to be anyone's friend to be a member of the guild. If Master did not like him, then that was his problem. He couldn't dictate to Natsu the power of friendship when his own grandson had no friends in the guild.

With his strengthened determination, Natsu made his promise. He would be a new man from today. He was fed up with the people who took advantage of his kindness. He will live according to his own principles, not those of Fairy Tail or Igneel. He would do what he wanted and not what others wanted of him. He was tired of being the chew toy of Destiny. He knows Lisanna wouldn't be happy with this, but for now… he has to do it for himself, or else he could break. He apologized to her silently before taking off and leaving. His new future seems uncertain to those around him, because his decision that day will have a ripple effect on the world. Whether it is positive or negative remains to be seen.

Feeling his eyelids grow heavy, Natsu decides to take a nap because he has not slept for the entire week but if he was kept awake, he would have seen a message on his vision.

REFLEXIONES DE LOS CREADORES
Takast Takast

New story guys…this one's been in my brain for a while so I just had to get it down before the creative juices went away. Despite what it may look like, I want to say it now…this is not a Fairy Tail bashing story. I know I wrote some of the character in a somewhat negative light…which is to be expected as I tried to get Natsu's perspective of things and the extremes that his mind went to under the massive duress that he experienced. Also…while I may have tweak a few things…the behaviour that I described was pretty close to cannon. Erza and Mira were pretty much bullies, no matter how Hiro likes to write it for comedy or whatever other purposes. Children can be pretty cruel, far more so than adults. The point being is that they're all children and they will eventually grow up and mature. Anyway…just wanted to clear things up. Now…I need to address a few things that will be important to know as the story progresses.
