The Elf gulped audibly at Samar's offer but he kept silent. Samar took his silence as a yes and asked his first and only question.
"Where were you taking the Sets?" The Driver did not speak another word but Samar was in no mood to wait.
"The Commander of City Guards himself is on his way here. He has ways to make you speak but you won't be treated with leniency. It is better if you confess to me."
The coachman was spooked and he looked at Samar with pitiful eyes but he only received a cold gaze in return.
"There is a Drow Village beyond the Marauder's Pass. Our Firm has significant trade relations with that village. I was tasked to send the Grains, the Gold Leafs and the Sets to them." The Coachman replied meekly.
Samar did not show on his face but he was shocked in his heart. An unknown Drow Village! This was a huge deal and the fact that Merchant Gama was colluding with them made it an even bigger issue!
Guys, I apologize for less chapters this week. I had a horrible week and my wrist pain flared up due to the rainy weather. It took me 4 to 5 hours to write a single chapter.
The pain is getting better and maybe I can resume my old release rate soon.
