Alan did not stay for the meeting with the elders but assigned other guards to King Indicy as he felt that the Lendon issue was of the utmost importance, so he decided to do it himself instead of delegating it. He slipped out of the throne room after the session began.

He found the cottage of Moe in no time as Narin Moe, Lendon's adopted mother had garnered quite the reputation for herself, so everyone knew her. He had changed out of his palace guard clothes as he did not want to draw any attention to himself.
