Malcom looked at him, confused. As a person who used the sword a lot and was also familiar with treasures, Malcom has an irking feeling that the sword was clearly extraordinary.

The Marked turn on his back to avoid it, but when looking at Jamal again, he wasn't there. 

Just beside Malcom, he saw the man appear, and Malcom raised his hands to protect his face, but Jamal forcefully kicked his stomach, making him retreat just before Jamal caught his sword that was coming back.
