Chapter 87: The Beginning Of Destruction
"Mama, I want to eat bean bags today! Come quick! It's going to get over!" a little girl stood in front of a small stall. A middle-aged man stood close to it, sliding a small lid right after which hot steam escaped.
"Haha, it's bean cakes dear," the little girl's mother, towering high, appeared just next to her as she pulled out a small pouch from her inner pocket.
"One bean cake please," she said with a subtle smile to the middle-aged man.
"You won't eat, mama?" the little girl asked, her eyes as wide as possible.
"I—" the woman lowered her eyes as she looked at the small pouch. There was just one copper coin inside it which could fetch only one cake.
The smile seemingly dropped a bit. But then as her gaze fell on her little heart, her daughter Lethia, a smile returned to her face as she said, "Not today honey. I'm full. Maybe tomorrow."
