Xu Hu Zhe's Perspective:
There was a sense of quiet intimacy as a tall, blue- black haired man sat atop a nondescript carriage, his noble features carved with pride and youth.
The raven- colored locks framed his face, where scattered scales marked his immortal blood lineage for all the world to see— a source of discomfort rather than pride for him.
The scales were proof of his immortal bloodline, a sign of honor and nobility, a link to the worshipped ancestors he never knew, and a lifestyle he never dreamed of. It was something he never longed for and didn't regard highly, or at least not in the way most would.
Respect was for Xu Feng, not his ancestors.
He was only able to awaken this part of himself because of the one he'd sworn to protect for a lifetime, yet that one had died before him.
