Capítulo 68: ch68- Grand Ambitions

In the presence of Alex, the luckiest person in their group, Jenny and the others finally witnessed the overwhelming power of spending points. Particularly for Daniel, who had just jumped from being an N-grade wielder to an SR-grade one, it was a dream come true.

"Our strength has increased significantly," Alex began, eyes gleaming with ambition. "I have a crazy idea!" The room fell silent as he continued, "I plan to take over ten resource points at once!"

"What?!"

"Why am I not surprised by such a bold plan from you, Alex?"

"That's one powerful strategy!"

"You're the boss, Alex!"

Though shocked, many of his classmates, feeling empowered by their newfound strength, nodded in agreement, brimming with confidence.

"Ten points might be too many, though," Jenny spoke up, her voice filled with caution. "We only have about 30 people. Even if each SR-grade person leads two others, that's only six teams. Can three people really take down a whole resource point?"

Unlike the more excitable classmates, Jenny and a few other girls still had their doubts. Attacking ten resource points at once sounded like an overwhelming task. After all, Alex himself, despite being an SR-grade wielder, had struggled with handling the sheer number of low-level monsters while taking on resource points previously.

Hearing her concerns, Alex didn't explain much. He merely showed them the stats of the "Belos Slayer" artifact.

"What...?!"

"This is an artifact!"

"If everyone had one of these, taking ten resource points wouldn't be a problem at all!"

Seeing the powerful, wide-range damage capabilities of the "Belos Slayer," everyone quickly changed their minds. With that weapon in hand, the more monsters there were, the more satisfying it would be to wipe them out.

Immediately, over 20 people, including Michael and the others, bought themselves a "Belos Slayer." However, since the N-grade version was weak, they needed to upgrade its quality to unleash its true power.

To maximize their potential, Lily and the others pooled all their points and transferred them to Alex, allowing him to buy R-grade gem packs for enhancing their equipment.

It's worth noting that, like the "Dragon God" and "Holy Angel" sets, the "Belos" set was limited to one per person, and it was bound to the buyer, meaning Alex couldn't buy and upgrade them to trade with the others.

Still, the combined wealth of over 20 people was substantial, especially with Jenny and the others already holding a decent number of points. By the time Alex had collected everyone's contributions, his total points skyrocketed to nearly 9 million.

Using 8 million points, Alex bought eight R-grade gem packs. Under the watchful eyes of his classmates, he didn't disappoint. The packs yielded a total of 12 SR-grade gems and 66 R-grade gems, worth over 18 million points!

With Alex's previously saved four SR-grade gems, the group now had a total of 16 SR-grade gems. They gathered all the remaining R-grade gems they had stored, focusing on upgrading the equipment of Jenny and the other five new SR-grade wielders.

Once the R-grade gems were exhausted, they had managed to upgrade nine "Belos Slayer" artifacts to R+9. The efficiency was much lower than Alex's own lucky streak.

After using the SR-grade gems, they now had nine SR-grade "Belos Slayer" artifacts in total. However, none had reached SR+1, much to Jenny's dismay. The SR-grade "Belos Slayer" artifacts came with impressive abilities, although none were quite as powerful as Alex's, they were still formidable. Each artifact had a first effect that didn't disappoint:

"Consumes 5% energy to deal 1,400 points of shockwave damage within a 45-meter range, dealing quadruple damage to Belos creatures."

Though it wasn't as devastating as Alex's version, it was still more than enough to handle most monsters.

According to Alex's plan, they would set out together and clear ten resource points. However, they wouldn't claim the points immediately after eliminating the monsters. Instead, they would sweep through all ten resource points and then send teams to claim them simultaneously. This method would maximize their efficiency.

During the conquest, Alex would still serve as the primary force, as the resource point guardians were much stronger than Belos creatures, and the "Belos Slayer" wasn't enough to handle them on its own.

In a one-on-one fight, an R-grade wielder could barely match an elite monster. Even though Jenny and the other five had achieved SR-grade, their stats hadn't fully recovered yet, so they weren't much stronger than the R-grade wielders. Of course, with their divine gear, they could handle resource point bosses, but a solo fight would take time and require considerable energy, which made conquering multiple points in a row difficult.

Daniel piped up, "We could cooperate with others in the city. If they help claim the points, we might be able to conquer even more resource points!"

The idea sparked a lively debate. Ultimately, they decided to have Quinn and the other guides spread the word. Whether or not others believed in Alex's strength or were satisfied with simply claiming rewards without contributing was yet to be seen.

Once their preparations were complete, the group, fully equipped with "Dragon God Wings" or "Holy Angel Wings," took off from East Sea City, heading towards their first target.

The sight of nearly 30 flying individuals left the entire city in shock.

Those wings alone cost 5 million points each, or 3 million at a discount. That such a small city like East Sea housed so many powerful individuals stirred excitement among onlookers.

For most players, even those who hadn't avoided combat and had been actively completing missions with teams, saving up 1 million points wasn't easy. The average person could only dream of owning the high-end event items and would settle for a "Belos Slayer."

Alex's massive advantage came from his overwhelming strength and his incredible luck, allowing him to accumulate wealth like no one else. When the event began, his immense fortune let him spend his way to god-like power.

Since everyone in his class knew Alex had the "Dragon God" set, there was no need for him to hide it anymore. Once they had flown far enough from the city, Alex and the five SR-grade wielders switched into their divine armor.

Compared to the unenhanced gear of Jenny and the others, Alex's fully upgraded R+9 set was far superior.
