Capítulo 59: A night full of sighs: Part Two

Sitting on the billboard, feeling almost on top of the world, the wind bit like shards of ice into her face, sweeping away her hair, but she welcomed the feeling. She was out in the open, near the forest that curved around to this side, as dangerous as it could be to any potential threats, made her surprisingly calm. Maybe it was because of the reminder from Niko today of who she used to be, of what she was, and what she'd done, but she felt a little invincible. 

Esme pulled her knife out from behind her and started spinning the pointed blade on top of the structure. A small smile tugged on the corner of her lips at the sound of the metal cutting through the air until she stopped it and held it flat against her hand. She barely winced at the feel of the silver burning into her skin, melting away the layers until the engraving on the hilt was ingrained in her skin.
